Our family very much enjoyed our getaway at the Buckhead over Thanksgiving. The hot tub was a welcome respite after a day of exploring, and everyone enjoyed gathering together to eat and watch college football! The house is decorated beautifully, with plenty of room for everyone. We look forward to our next visit to the Buckhead!

We were in the area for a destination wedding and rented this home so that we could be next door to the wedding party. This home was very well appointed and had plenty of space for the 7 of us. We had elk and turkey visit us. We loved how convenient the home was to Estes Park without having to stay in a hotel. I would highly recommend this property!

This place is beautiful and very relaxing. Comfortable furniture, the beds and pillows were perfect as well. Lots of turkeys, elk and mule deer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The Buckhead". We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the comforts of home while enjoying beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park.

Once again, what a great house for our family to stay in! So well stocked and really decorated for the mountains. Comfortable, very roomy, and secluded for a peaceful vacation.

This is the best VRBO house that we've ever stayed in! The kitchen was equipped with everything you could want or need. The bathrooms in each bedroom were great with enough towels for an army! Nice quiet location and we were visited by deer and turkeys every day!

This home was beautiful, spacious and very well cared for! The hot tub and outdoor fire were amazing! Kitchen nicely stocked. Rock formations in the backyard were home to marmots and chipmunks and the kids loved playing on them! Can’t wait to come back!
Mary B.Jul 2021
We had a great stay. Everything we needed was there and management was extremely responsive for the one thing we needed. Clean, comfortable, great location for RMNP. Elk and mule deer around every day. We’d definitely stay again.

We celebrated my wife’s 40th birthday here with two other couples. Amazing home! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Before I get in to all the amazing things that this home has to offer, my one suggestion to the owners would be to add dressers in the upstairs bedrooms. We had a five day stay where we had to live out of our suitcases on the floor. That was the only inconvenience to this place. The home is amazing and exceptionally clean, abundantly stocked with everything that a large family could possibly need. We were a party of six and found no shortage of kitchen supplies and appliances, plenty of pans for cooking large meals. There was plenty of seating in the living room for us to all relax by the fireplace and watch a movie, plenty of seating for us in the dining room and kitchen. We enjoyed the use of the barbecue, the hot tub and the outdoor fireplace. We saw wildlife every day in the yard, from elk to groundhogs, to birds and rabbits. We love that the home is located on a dead-end street so there is no through traffic.
We are just 5 minutes down the road from the grocery store and the center of town and a 10 minute drive in the opposite direction we were in the Rocky Mountain Park.
And there’s so much to do in the area. We hiked, rented electric bikes and rode all around town, four wheeling, sledding, shopping, great restaurants.
We can’t say enough good things about the Buckhead. Five stars. Highly recommend. Such a beautiful place, lovely home away from home. We would love to come back.

If you're looking for a mountain escape that is the full mountain life experience but not completely secluded, this house is it!! Amazing decor, super clean, perfect location, FEELS secluded and private, but has other cabins near by and just a small drive into town. This house is so cozy. I almost didn't write a review because I want this cabin all to myself lol but its so amazing, I do have to share and give the owners some credit! This cabin is the BEST!

This house was clean, we enjoyed our stay and will be back in the summer time. It had everything we needed.
Shelley S.Dec 2020
This home is very beautiful and clean. We loved the fact that all three bedrooms had their own full bath. The kitchen it perfect, the outdoor fireplace area was a delight for hanging out. We grilled several times. Many times we saw mule deer, elk and turkeys. We would highly recommend this house to anyone!!!

This house has everything you need and more! It has all you need for cooking, sleeping, & showering. It’s located between downtown Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance. We loved the screened in porch with a fireplace. We spent a lot of nights out there. Our time was cut short because we had to evacuate for the wildfires, but Vacasa was nice enough to refund the nights we missed. :)

We loved this home!

Fantastic house!! Great location, convenient to RMNP and Estes, but far enough out to be quiet and relaxing. Great hot tub and patio area and wonderful home inside. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!!
Kathleen J.Aug 2020
This was a beautiful home. Five of stayed here and we all had an amazing time. Can't wait to stay here again!!

The house was perfect for a small family gathering. We were 4 adults and 2 children. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings in a quiet neighborhood.
Carson R.Jul 2020
the house is very nice and clean. I was happy that we picked this place to stay.
Christina d.Jun 2020
We loved getting away from everything to hike daily in the Rocky mountains. We then returned for rest and relaxation in the hottub at the Buckhead.
Amy B.Jun 2020
My family had the best time! The house is beautiful, clean, and well stocked!! I have already recommended it to friends and my family is ready for another visit!!

Our family arrived shortly after Christmas and fell in love with The Buckhead!
We were welcomed with snow on the ground,, a Christmas tree and the location was beautiful.
The home is very spacious with all the amenities you could want. We were able to see spectacular views of the mountains, watched deer from the windows daily,
The home had everything and more that you may need! Spacious rooms, very clean, loved the fireplaces. We bought marshmallows and built a fire in the outside fireplace. The hot tub was great even in the cold snow.
We hiked to see beautiful sunrises and the location was great for us because we were close to Rocky Mountain National Park and close to the town of Estes Park. We rode horses, went sledding at Hidden Valley, walked along the frozen Fall River, went to Bear Lake. So much to do and such a beautiful home to enjoy with family!
We will definitely return!
Richard S.Jan 2020
We loved the house. It snowed the second day we were there and it was like staying in the picture on a postcard. Looking out the windows, we saw tons of deer, a coyote and a bobcat. It was close to town and the entrance to the park. Very convenient and well kept.
Kim Z.Dec 2019
Loved the turkeys and mule deer visits everyday!

My husband, two young daughters and I loved our stay at the Buckhead. We're fellow Vacasa vacation homeowners, so the stay gave us some good ideas for our own home. It was incredibly clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds and rooms were all cozy and my older daughter loved the log bunk bed. I also loved the couches - perfect for nap time - and the fireplaces. The homeowners have a very special vacation home. Kudos.
Mick L.Aug 2019
This house is ideal for our family - 4 adults and 2 children. Well stocked with everything you need, comfortable furnishings, off the main road far enough to give you seclusion with mountain views. The hot tub, grill, patio, screened porch, washer/dryer, air conditioning, and 2 car garage are added features! We will return next year for our 8th stay!
Gregory V.Aug 2019
We enjoyed our stay very much! The house is large enough for the 6 of us, yet cozy enough that we could visit as a group in comfort in several rooms and outdoors.
Gary G.Jul 2019
From the moment we arrived we knew this would be a spectacular home for our family vacation. The house itself was beautiful and very well equipped for our group. We ate at the house a lot and the kitchen and outdoor grill more than met our needs. We loved the screened-in patio with the woodburning fireplace. Many smores and memories were made around those fires! Our grandsons loved the bunkbeds, too! We saw elk, turkeys and a friendly bear around the home. It was nice to be so close to the national park and town, only 2 miles to town and 2 miles to the Falls River Park entrance. This part of the national park was not as crowded, which was pleasant for midsummer. The house is situated away from busy roads and very quiet at night. So glad we stayed at the Buckhead and hope to do it again!!

I booked the Buckhead because we had a large group of grandkids! The accommodations were perfect for our group! The home has great WiFi and entertainment system , plenty of bathrooms, great kitchen, washer dryer. Etc The best surprise for us was the sitting area off the master bedroom which was great for the grandparents to drink their morning coffee and keep and eye on the kids in the evening. The screened in fireplace room was also great for the fire and s’mores. We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is very near Rocky Mountain National park yet is very secluded and quiet! Great experience! Can’t wait to go back!

This was the second time we have stayed at the Buckhead. This time was for a family wedding in Estes. The minute I heard the wedding was going to be in Estes, I went online to book the Buckhead! It is the perfect location. Feels secluded but very close to downtown, the grocery store as well as to RMNP. The decor is beautiful, there is every amenity you could ask for and SO clean! The wildlife was abundant every day right outside the house. Our grandchildren loved it and the four-year-old said “this is amazing!” when he first walked in the door. Will always try to book this property if we return to Estes!
Jon and Heather H.Dec 2018
My children my husband and I absolutely love this cabin. It is beautiful. There were tons of elk all around us. We do wish it the hot tub works though as it has had an issue everytime we went. Other than this cabin is amazing and we will be going back!
Forrest F.Dec 2018
Perfect. Elk & deer in the yard. Hot tub. Nice walk to town. Near the National Park (back country and sledding). Big open area perfect for family reunion. Wonderful kitchen and kitchen utensils and machines (one stove but it worked fine for Thanksgiving as we did the turkey early). Easy in and out. Quiet.
So why the missing 1/2 star? Internet. It's there, but ... we expected rural speeds (a more than tolerable sacrifice when that close to the outdoors) but we didn't expect the connectivity issue. On my notebook it connected OK but only after I did the push button WPS approach (no IP address returned). Daughter connected just fine. Her husband couldn't connect no matter what he tried. When your kids join you for a week, it's expected that they will work a few of the days. It's something that should be fixed and I'm sure you will hear from the owner when it is. Until that's fixed, there are some nice internet cafes/bars in town (the option my other daughter/husband tried and getting computers away from the "retreat" can be a plus).
Everything else was flawless. Great home. Highly recommend it.
Master is on the main level. Two bedrooms upstairs. And the bed in the open area of the loft was also nice for one of our ealy risers (they can use the guest bathroom so everyone has a bathroom) ... so four sleeping areas with four bathrooms if needed.
There is also an outdoor/indoor roofed area right off the living room that is great in summer (shaded with a breeze) or winter (light a fire and snuggle up).
We appreciate this feedback and wish our guest had reached out regarding the internet. We don't typically have internet issues on this property, and we have verified this since receiving this review. Thank you!
Jason R.Nov 2018
It is a comfortable house with nice finishes. Each of the three bedrooms has an attached bathroom with shower. There are TV’s all over the house, including a large Sony with Bose surround sound in the living room. There is a DVD player and cable but no streaming options. The neighborhood was quiet and spread out. The house is close to downtown and the park, but felt fairly secluded. The kitchen was well equipped except for the knives which are falling apart.
My only complaint is that the door code wouldn’t work so I dialed the provided phone number which called an answering service, not owners. They could reset the lock, but didn’t know how it worked. I had to find the manual online to figure out I needed to press star after entering the number.
I will use this house again if in the area.
Bryan J.Nov 2018
The cabin was just as pictured. Fantastically furnished in all rooms. The kitchen is nicely stocked with everything you'd need. Our family loved the fireplace on the screened-in porch. The hot tub was sparkling cleaned and maintenance folks came two of the days to check the chemicals and water level. We will definitely be back.
Kim M.Oct 2018
This house was perfect for our trip to RMNP. It was very clean and well stocked. We loved the wildlife and the neighborhood scenery. It was quiet and comfortable. We were extremely satisfied with our stay.
Sheeba P.Oct 2018
Place was clean, super spacious. Had everything we needed.
Alan R M.Oct 2018
The Buckhead was beautifully adorned with all the amenities our two families needed. The screen enclosed covered patio with fireplace was a huge hit with our teenage kids and us. We were able to hear elk bugling and stay out of the snow with a fire to keep us warm. The kitchen was well thought out and a pleasure to cook in. The house is on the way into Rocky Mountain National Park and right up from Safeway for those few items we forgot .
