We loved the location. Most of the amenities, were amazing but a few were not working properly. Nothing that would keep us from returning or recommending the property to others.

Home was amazing! Only complaint was beach access in this area is difficult @ best. It is all residential & only one spot for public access.

This house was a last minute plan due to a hurricane intruding on our original destination. Our family couldn't have asked for more but let me tell you the negatives before the positives.
1.) You pay a $200 cleaning fee for what?? We had dead wood roaches in the home, spider webs everywhere, garbage all over the yard from the racoons and the garbage bins were plump full. If we pay to have a home clean you would expect that it will be clean and you aren't doing that on your first night- or calling vacasa to have someone come do it.
2.) Plan ahead if you are going to grill and request a full tank ready and waiting. There were 2 empty tanks so that postponed us grilling out every night until someone delivered a new tank.
3.) Have them triple check that pool! Little did we know the pool wasn't filtering and we lost a day of swimming so they could dump a ton of chemicals into it. Good thing the ocean is only a mile away and not expensive to pay to get into. Our littles were less than impressed with idea of not being able to swim while breakfast was being made.
4.) Pick up extras because toilet paper is sparse as is the paper towel, dish soap and hand soaps. We planned ahead on this and brought our own, had we not we would have made the 30 minute trek back to Charleston for WalMart. You can venture to the gas station on the island but you'll pay more and get less.
5.) Request the bug man to spray before you get there or you'll be dealing with all the bugs during the night when you're to enjoy the deck. My husband had enough and found the spray they had on hand, sprayed the deck himself.
6.) Verify that the electricity is up to par. The room on the main floor was unable to use the outlets without popping a fuse. This was rather unnerving as we had a young one staying in that room and the lady we spoke to indicated it could be a shortage and she'd send someone to make sure nothing started on fire. Needless to say we didn't use anything BUT the ceiling fan in that room all week.
Although we had a list of negative things we did have a lot of positives.
This home provided us enough space for 12 people, The on site chef was amazing and his waitress wasn't bad either. The cleaning crew may have been on vacation as was the property manager ( true story!), this home gave us a weeks worth of memories, laughs, and a vacation our whole family will forever remember. Had the hurricane not hit our original destination we would never had ventured to Kiawah Island, SC- seen a shark fin in the ocean, 3 sting rays, an overabundance of shells, 2 different lizards and many many other critters.
We would definitely return but maybe with a different venue to host us.
If you are looking to book this home- trust us you wont be disappointed as long as the above things aren't your experience also

our original house got cancelled unexpectedly by the owner. vacasa worked very quickly and kindly to get us a new property. this house was clean, had a nice kitchen, very beautiful (love the porch and pool) and in great spot on the island by osprey point clubhouse. it wasnt as large and didnt have the same views as our original property, but did the job. would recommend to anyone looking to stay in kiawah!

Great place to gather with extended family during these strange times.

We have a toddler and the shallow to deep private pool was perfect for our family. The house was a 10-12 minute bike ride to Boardwalk 40 for beach access. Easy car ride to Ryder Cup Bar and just a little over a mile to Osprey Point Club House.

Large House, lots of space, bare bones so bring extra soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, coffee, cream, sugar, etc. House is about a 20 minute walk to the beach. The pool and deck are beautiful and a great place to hang out. Plenty of room for parking and nice having two dens with two tv's for people into sports.

The house was wonderful. There were a few minor cosmetic things that could be done but overall the house had everything that we needed. We would definitely recommend this location and Vacasa to our friends.

The house was perfect for our large family. Our children range from ages 6 months to 6 years-old, and we had more than enough space. The kitchen was well-stocked and the pool was perfectly-sized. In addition, the Vasasa staff was very helpful and attentive.

This home was the best to stay at for my family of 10. We came from different states for a family wedding on Johns Island. It was further than other rentals but this stood out to us so we made it work. It was very CLEAN. If your looking to be close to downtown Charleston this is not for you. It is a double gated neighborhood and It takes 20-30 mins to get off the island. We were ok with the drive but we were also comfortable, safe, and loved this house and ok with the quiet! Plenty of room for everyone having their own bathrooms. Only complaint is the sewage smell that started in the master then traveled upstairs then disappeared. This only happened 2x so it was hard to call and say anything because the smell had gone. Ironing boards were the 1/2 boards and not full length boards so it was difficult to iron a gown for the wedding. Utensils and cookware, and kitchen misc items were in perfect order. Had it been warmer we would have used the pool. We did use the bikes to go to the beach. What a view!!! Rent this house! Looking forward to using Vacasa in the future for rentals in other cities. Thank you!!!! Had fun with the Board games in the upstairs ottoman.
