On the 38th floor, there is some work being done regarding plumbing, as they are updating the pipes on the entire floor. Currently, pipe replacement is being worked on the wings of the floor but there will be times Monday-Friday 7am-4pm that water will be shut off. This will continue and be completed in April 2021. It's a beautiful stay, so don't let this stop you from enjoying Hawaii.

We stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. This was our first trip to Hawaii, and The Banyan surpassed our expectations. From the moment we walked into the unit, we were feeling the island vibes with all of the decor, lanai, amazing ocean views, and a short walk to the beach. Additionally, the place was very clean and included all of the essentials for cooking in as needed. The garage parking included was also a huge plus. We would absolutely return to The Banyan and recommend to others as well!

The place was absolutely beautiful. Amazing view, clean. Only complaint is the dividing doors that would have made this a one bedroom were broken and not easy to open and close and I was afraid one of them was going to fall down if we kept using it. So it was really like an open studio. We have kids and wanted to be able to put them to sleep and still have the living room as a separate space, but that was not able to happen due to the sliding divider doors not working.

3804 Banyan is a nice little condo with many upgrades to the interior. It is obviously an older building, and the floors of the condo reflect that, but who cares? View is awesome, short walk to the beach and town, parking included...I'd stay again!

Top floor. Great view. Big king bed. Great location. Quiet too. Free parking.
Small things for maintenance: Balcony door is very hard to open and close. Sliding doors to bedroom are all off hinges. Window off hinge.
Everything else is great. Worth every penny.

Great location and great view from top floor of Waikiki Banyan. Property is a little dated and missing a few things, like hand soap and shower soap. Lots of appliances for cooking, cocktails, and coffee, so we were set! Would stay here again.

We’re not prima donnas and do not seek out problems, but we have complaints about our stay. The condo was clean, the neighborhood as expected, and the view beautiful. We enjoyed the lanai. The kitchen was equipped only minimally, but was sufficient for rudimentary food prep.
Our complaint comes from an aggregation of issues and the management’s response. The provided wifi name and password were incorrect. The electrical socket in the bathroom did not work and would not reset. Although we were expected to wash our cups, there was no dishrag. There was no soap for washing hands, so we used the body wash, which was watery and gushed out when the bottle was tipped. We lacked blankets: the master bed had only a decorative half-blanket across the bottom of the bed and although we reserved the place based on an occupancy of four, the pullout bed had no blanket at all.
We arrived late in the evening. When I called the management company in the morning, I discovered it is located in Portland, Oregon. The local management team did return my call within an hour, supplied the correct wifi information, and told me they would find supplies for us. But we never heard from them again. I haven’t even mentioned the less than proactive response to hearing about the wallet we found in the condominium.
We are sorry to see you did not have a better time here. We have verified the WiFi access information provided is correct, and we apologize if you missed the message directing you to where to find linens. We will follow-up with housekeeping and hope to see you again!

Perfect location being not too far from everything but far enough so it’s more relaxing. Apartment in good condition with plenty of supplies to make you comfortable. View to die for!
The only draw back is reception isn’t very helpful when you say what room you’re in because it’s private and not through them.
Overall great apartment and we will certainly be back.

This could be a really nice vacation rental but the neither the owners or the management company have any interest. Upon arriving the place was filthy with stains and dried substances in the tub/shower and dust everywhere. They have turned off the cable and only one TV has Roku, which is worthless since they have the cheapest DSL possible at <5Mbs, which is impossible for streaming. Everything in the apartment is cheap and old. The white refrigerator with rust stains on the side looks like it was picked up off the side of the street. There IS a laundry room on the floor but it only has one washer and one dryer which as inoperable the 5 days I was there. The property manager not only isn't good with the cleaning but it's impossible to get ahold of a local person and the corporate response is only "We'll have a local supervisor contact you.", which they don't. I've had many experiences with home shares and very few disappointments but this place is definitely the worst that I've stayed in.

The condo was as described. Good location, close to Kapahulu Ave. so easy access w/o having to travel the full length of Waikiki to get in or out. Well outfitted and clean. Nice view even if parts of it are blocked by other buildings- it was great to have a lanai on the 38th floor. Parking was a plus but beware it is tight- a small car is best. For some reason there was an entry card left there- I don't think it belongs to the unit. You get into the condo via an access code on the door. To get from the parking garage to the interior of the building you need a key that is in the condo waiting for you. The door is unlocked during the day but locked at night. So, if you first arrive at night, you'll have to walk down the stairs to get to he lobby and then retrieve the key latter. Laundry room at the end of the hall was great (quiet hours are after 10PM. Here is what could be better. 1) There is a foam mattress rolled up and hidden behind the couch. I can't think that anyone would use it and it just takes up valuable space. Get rid of it. 2) The bar stools at the kitchen island are much too high for the counter height, so its not really a great place to sit and eat. 3) the refrigerator should be replaced. Yes, it works but it's loud and annoying. 4) The TV or signal should be looked at- picture is not high quality. Now that its a known quantity I would re-book this unit if and when I travel to Honolulu again.

It was my boyfriends first time to Hawaii and I wanted us to stay somewhere special. Our penthouse suite was INCREDIBLE! It has everything you need, plus a panoramic view of Diamond Head to downtown Honolulu. Comfortable beds, fresh renovations, dish washer. It has everything to make your stay super relaxed. 10/10 would stay again!

Loved the view and the space from this penthouse suite. The view, the remodel of the kitchen, the fans, the view, the comfy bed, the view, the beautiful floors and fresh linens... did I mention the view?! Booking with the rental agency was easy - and they communicated so well. Other than perhaps providing more than two rolls of TP for a 5 day stay, it was a delightful, spot - and worth the elevator ride every time.

We rented both 3804 and 3802 for a family vacation and found it suited us perfectly. The suite was clean and comfortable. The view was fabulous. However, from past visits we were aware that this suite is getting a bit run down. For example, there was only one deck chair on the lanai, and the shower drain was sluggish. The owner should spend a few hundred dollars on new deck chairs and sprucing up some of the tired items in the suite. That said, we love the Banyan, and we're not looking for luxury.

The views were better than the pics would lead you to believe. I could sit in bed and see the ocean and clouds. Could also hear the ocean, but also sirens and traffic noise at night with windows open. There is no dishwasher in this unit, so the kitchen is a bit less functional than others in this building. If you are mostly eating out, fine; if a family that needs to cook a lot, maybe bring your favorite utensils and spice mixtures from home. 90's decorating in a 70's building. A great location tho and a perfect place to relax. The free parking is a real perk in this area, and it's two blocks from the beach.
