The door isn’t super-easy to find and I got in late. Once that problem was solved the stay was quite lovely. The only other hiccup is that the firewood stacked by the house is too long to fit in the little woodstove in the space. I would have loved to have a fire just for ambiance!

Very comfortable. Everything worked, but the bathroom light flickered like bulb might need to be screwed in firmly...or there's an issue of some kind in the bathroom fan. I didn't try to fix it. Liked the seclusion, but a bit hard to find.
Manager response:
Hi, Wayne! The homeowner has replaced the bathroom light bulb and fan. Thank you!

We loved the perfect lil’ nook in a quiet neighborhood! First time VRBO users, we were thankful for the find! I read the ratings and comments on the place, the ease of checking in and out was a plus! We would definitely stay here again if we had another “summer” trip!

What a wonderful place tucked away in the woods. Highly recommend!

I felt like a guest in a friend's home. It was comfortable, roomy, and quiet in a nice secluded area. Close to walking/biking trails. It doesn't have a kitchen stove or sink, but does have hot plate, microwave, coffee and hot water pots, and refrigerator. Made me not ever want to stay in a hotel again. I definitely will rebook when I need a place to stay in anchorage.

This studio appears to be on the older side but it is we maintained and adorable. There is as a sign asking occupant to put trash out but it was not safe to walk down to the bins. There was also a terrible stain on the bedsheet. Overall, I'll stay there again.
Manager response:
Hi, Kathy! We're delighted you chose to stay with us and appreciate your feedback. We have discussed the bedsheets with housekeeping, and the homeowners have been advised of your concern with the trash bins. Thanks!

A writer’s dream. Great hosts, in the green belt ( like your own bit of forest) yet nestled near business and UAA college. All amenities (except Wi-Fi). Quiet, well decorated with books and a very comfortable bed! Loved it I hope to stay again in March!

If ican put 100 stars i would for that magical absolutely breathtaking place❗❗
I went there to experience beauty of winter and Anchorage Escape exceeded my expectations at all levels = its feels that you live in the middle of untouched forest two steps away from salmon brook in such quite well preserved sanctuary and yet not too far for all convenient places like coffeehouse or pharmacy.
Hiking trails just cross the street along the lake and sunrise will meet you every morning through dutch celling to floor windows that is open to private terrace.
And did i mention fireplace🔥? ? Thai is insane💗😍 and room is full of artsy touches from little souvenirs to wonderful choice of books that will fulfill your rustic taste.
The only wish is extra set of fresh sheets when needed on that super comfy bed😇😇
Definitely come back! Thank you Alex and Martha to make me feel at home with all desirable privacy👍🌼🌼

Really liked that this was easy walking distance from Providence Hospital as I was at the hospital 12 hours a day with a sick loved one. This made the ability to get there and then have a place to sleep and relax some so much easier! The bed was comfortable and loved the room itself. I did not realize it had no internet, which for the price was not a bad thing. It also had no "Welcome" directions in the place, so I had to sort of intuit what was there and where.
