Let me start by saying Portifino resort is great! It is gorgeous the beaches and pools are beautiful, the resort staff is friendly and accommodating, the food at the restaurants is delicious, there are so many great activities for kids and adults. I got a massage at the spa and it was wonderful.
The owners of the condo has done a great job updating and decorating the unit. You can tell they take pride in their condo, I feel bad that they have such horrible cleaners that aren’t taking care of their property like it should be. We own vacation rentals in another city so I know how hard it is to rely on someone else to take care of your property. The reason I’m leaving this review is so the owners will know what’s going on. I’m not a complainer but I feel like they should know how bad their cleaners are. When we first arrived at the condo we were very happy, the view is beautiful, you can see the ocean from every window. We took our shoes off and our feet were completely covered in sand. I get it, it’s the beach, it’s hard to get it all up but I don’t know if they even tried. Luckily there was a vacuum cleaner in the condo so I cleaned it myself. We pulled the covers down in the bedroom and there was black hair all over the sheets. I took those off and washed them, while I was at it I went ahead and washed the comforters because you could see how dirty they were. They were tan and you could see the filth. There was a white throw on the bed that wasn’t white at all because it was so dirty. I also washed all the throws in living room too because they smelled bad, they hadn’t been washed in a long time. I spent the first night there cleaning so we would feel comfortable enough to stay in the condo. The next morning we got up to take a shower and start our day. The towels in the condo smelled horrible. I don’t know if the cleaners take the towels home to wash or what but the smell of smoke was so bad you couldn’t stand to walk in the bathroom, the smoke smell literally burned your eyes I had to wash every single towel and wash cloth in the condo so we could use them. The smell was disgusting! We went with another family that stayed in another condo, their condo was clean and much better equipped. There were no bowls with lids for storage, no knives, just the bare minimum. Our friends condo also had beach chairs and games and ours had none of that.
We had a great vacation regardless. I just wanted to let the owner know so they can go over these issues with their cleaning and maintenance crew. Your condo is beautiful and you deserve someone that will take care of it when you aren’t there.

We strive for a standard of excellence in ensuring the home is clean and accommodating for our guests and we are sorry to hear if this standard was not met. We are happy to report deep cleaning has been conducted to remove any unwanted odors, and we have retrained our cleaning staff to ensure future cleans are completed to our standards. Please note that all of our properties are strictly non-smoking and linens are laundered offsite. Fresh linens, including towels are placed in the unit prior to each stay. Knives are available in all sizes within the unit to include standard sizes, and an electric knife for meat cutting. In addition, games are available for guest use. We hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have the opportunity to provide you with a superior experience!

We loved this condo, it was absolutely beautiful! And the resort was full of great amenities. Definitely do the morning dolphin cruise during one of the Blue Angels practice days, was amazing! Our only complaint was the quality of food at the al Fresco restaurant. Nothing tasted fresh, tasted like it just came out of the freezer. We expected much more for the price. Other than that, we'll definitely visit Portofino again, just not the onsite restaurants.

We loved this condo and resort! The condo was super clean, spacious, and decorated perfectly! It will be our families go to place for a relaxing stay at the beach. The balcony view is perfect and you’re right next door to the main clubhouse. Restaurant choices are perfect and you don’t have to leave once you get here .The staff was amazing and helpful with any questions. Can’t wait to visit again!

Portifino is a fantastic location right next to the Gulf of Mexico. Between the amazing views from the balcony to the wonderful beach and pool access, this makes it a worth while vacation almost anytime of the year.
