Take a day trip back into town to check out the Seawall's many restaurants, shops, and fishing piers, and the world-famous Strand shopping district. Or for exciting thrills enjoy the rides at Pleasure Pier, miniature golf, historic buildings, museums, Moody Gardens, and the Schlitterbahn Water Park. Galveston State Park is also just down the street with access to the bay for fishing and boating.
