Charming carriage house w/ original hardwoods, W/D & antique bed - 1 dog OK!

Ideally located in the Cannonborough Elliotborough neighborhood of Charleston, this one-bedroom carriage house provides a wonderful taste of the city's history and charm, as well as easy walking access to an endless assortment of restaurants, landmarks, and boutiques downtown. This comfortable space is accented by original hardwood floors, a full bathroom on each of the two levels, a private washer/dryer for your ease and convenience, and a fully equipped kitchen with every essential. Leave your car in the provided off-street parking space, and spend balmy afternoons relaxing outside on your private patio. At night, you'll have a loft-style bedroom with a beautiful, queen-size rice bed, an 18th-century style originated by the acclaimed craftsman Thomas Elfe. This type of bed was designed to allow for better air circulation throughout the hot summer, offering four posts that have been intricately carved with images of rice and tobacco, two crops that defined Southern agriculture at the time. In the living room, you'll find a cable TV and an additional sleeper sofa as well.

My wife and I stayed here with our dog. The location was great, in a charming historical Neighbourhood with many amenities nearby. The apartment is comfortable and has a small kitchen and dining area so you can eat in when you fee like it. The sofa and bed were both comfy. This place is great for a couple or a family with small children.

Cute and comfortable place. Had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again

We had a wonderful time staying here. We were 2 couples and felt like the place was plenty spacious for our weekend in Charleston. It was walking distance to several great restaurants and coffee shops. Check-in and out was easy and the place was very clean!

The historic nature of the place was fantastic, the location was divine and close to anything and everything downtown. Would liked to have had Keurig so to not waste so much coffee. Dryer didn’t dry clothing. I loved the stay despite’s any complaints I may have had, wish it could have been longer.
Manager response:
Hi, Lisa! Maintenance is clearing out the dryer vent to get it back to optimal performance. Thank you for staying with us!

The convenience to all the downtown activities was phenomenal!

Great location. Easy check in-check out. Love having the two baths and a parking space. Everything was perfect, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

This guesthouse embodies historic Charleston -- loved having the two stories to create two separate sleeping areas, each with their own bathroom. The amenities are sufficient, and the location is ideal. I was nervous about hearing sirens all night, being close to the med center, but it was nice and quiet. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others.

We were able to walk to downtown (1.5 mile, 30 mins. ) make sure your back up camera is functional for the driveway!

Perfect setting in a tucked away courtyard. Busy but peaceful neighborhood. Easy check-in and check-out. Accommodations were perfect - very clean and maintained. Very enjoyable experience.

Your carriage house is wonderful! It was exactly like the pictures. And the 2 full bathrooms was a definite plus. Very nice neighborhood with easy walking to restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed our visit.

Super clean home, comfortable bed, and close to all the attractions of downtown. But what we liked best were the side streets with little coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants so you could avoid the craziness of King St

This place was awesome. Quiet and private and perfect for our weekend in Charleston. We could walk to King street, very convenient. Would definitely recommend and go back there again!

This apartment was exactly what we needed for our mini-vacation to Charleston. Easy check-in, super clean, and within walking distance to everything downtown. Loved the off-street parking!

Private parking: that’s definitely worth something!
The hosts truly hosted. The management company did a great job of checking in and providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. I was blown away by how clean the home was when we arrived. We will stay here again. It was comfortable and quiet. Close to great breakfast spots Halo and Daps. Close to the Belmont and Chez Nous, which are must experience places. Thank you for providing a quality home away from home.

This place was perfect for our one year anniversary trip! It was cute and clean with everything we needed. And the location was perfect… We were able to walk to so many places or ride our bikes! Would stay there again!
Monica W. Jul 2021
We loved the cottage Charleston charm and close to king st. The place could use a little upgrade in the kitchen & bath but overall very nice!
Nina M. Jul 2021
We had a wonderful stay here; it was conveniently located close to quite a few good breakfast places and restaurants. The apt was clean and everything we needed (it was just my husband and me).
Bonnie B. Jul 2021
Great home away from home in the Heart of Charleston. We will definitely return.

Great stay in Charleston. Everything is incredibly close and within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this property. The only disappointment I had is that check-out is very early and Vacasa will not accommodate late check-out, despite COVID-19 restrictions easing everywhere.

We had a great experience! The home was clean and everything was provided that we would need. It was also in a great location, perfect walking distance from town. The parking spot was also a huge plus!

The location is a 20 minute delightful walk to King St., heart of the city. The neighborhood is picturesque and tranquil. The house is as represented. We enjoyed using the ceiling fans. There is a/c but we prefer the fans. Having two bathrooms is wonderful and the water hot. We discovered a wonderful restaurant just down the street that you should try, “Laurel”. Of course, the parking space provided is a great convenience. I highly recommend this home for a visit.

We loved this apartment due to its privacy, in the back of a long driveway, in the back of a beautiful historic mansion owned and lived in by a local artist. There's several outdoor areas to drink your morning coffee. The parking is right beside the unit which is great for those traveling by car. The 2 bathrooms, washer dryer, and netflix account made this highly convenient. There's lots of college students who live close by, and a hospital complex with a helipad so it does tend to get noisy at times, but the fans can easily drown out that noise.

Thanks for a great stay. The property is perfect for a couple looking to getaway to Charleston for a weekend. Good location - close to downtown - but in a quiet area that;s safe and secure. Highly reccommend!
