Recent Charleston vacation rental reviews

We loved our stay at this property. The house was immaculately cleaned with many great amenities! Comfortable, homey, spacious!!! Will definitely highly recommend and return!

The house was perfect in every way, only bummer was the pool was not heated so we could not swim, it is such a perfect pool, it was a shame not to be able to use it. Beds comfy, large back yard was perfect for the fur baby, loved every space. It was centrally located for us to get to all the areas we wanted to visit, but it is an average of 30 minute drive to get to Charleston or any of the beaches in the area.

We loved the location on Upper King. Walkable to most everything we needed/wanted. Two king beds and two bathrooms was so nice - Perfect for 2 couples without paying for two hotel rooms. Having the coffee pot and refrigerator is a nice bonus too! Great stay in Charleston!

Where is Charleston, SC?

This port city is tucked along the inlet of Charleston Harbor, where the Ashley, Cooper, Wando and Stono Rivers meet with the Atlantic. In typical South Carolina Lowcountry fashion, you’ll find many tributaries and islands here—plus abundant access to sand and surf, with nearby Folly Beach just south of our Charleston condos.

Things to do in Charleston, SC

The beauty of Charleston is that there’s something for everyone, and every type of vacation. Whether you’re traveling with the whole family, a group of friends, or escaping for a romantic getaway, Charleston has plenty to offer. History buffs will delight in visiting Fort Sumter National Monument, which withstood the Civil War and remains open for tours today. Families can spend hours on the beach, playing in the sand and surf, while couples can enjoy a candle-lit evening in one of the city’s finest restaurants.

You can experience the city via a number of tours, whether of the walking, boat, or horse-drawn carriage variety. Allow yourself to be swept away by the beautiful antebellum houses and cobblestone streets, and don’t forget to visit the Historic Charleston City Market to browse the local offerings, including jewelry and Gullah sweetgrass baskets. Stroll along Rainbow Row, another must-see: a stretch of 14 vibrantly painted historic row houses.

No trip to a Charleston vacation home would be complete without a healthy sampling of local cuisine. The city’s food culture is another major draw, and you’ll find no shortage of dining options here. Taste the elevated southern cuisine at Husk, the winner of a James Beard Award. Or watch the sunset with a craft cocktail on the rooftop of Stars Restaurant.

You really can’t go wrong with a getaway to Charleston. Aside from all the buzzing city life and rich history, you’ll be just minutes from some of South Carolina’s most beautiful beaches and marshland.
