Remodeled Cabin In South Fork w/Free WiFi/Furnished Patio/Private Washer/Dryer!

This adorable cabin has been completely remodeled on the inside and out and is less than 20 miles from the Wolf Creek Ski area and surrounded by thousands of acres of national forest, this is a true gem! Inside, the all-wood interior, comfortable furniture, and lots of western cowboy themes. The homeowners are related to Charles Goodnight, whose incredible story was the basis for the Lonesome Dove Saga and the pride and heritage of this western favorite are apparent in every corner of this rustic home. The first bedroom has a king-size bed and the second room has two double beds. You'll have a private washer/dryer available to take care of everyone's dirty laundry, so you can afford to pack light for your trip, and the free WiFi makes researching a new recipe quick and easy. Good thing too, because the full kitchen is well-equipped with stainless steel appliances, beautiful cookware, and ample counter space to make tonight's home-cooked meal a joy to prepare. Serve your guests at the wood dining table while the dishwasher knocks out the dirty dishes. The furnished patio will make an evening of stargazing a delightful experience.

The house was clean and decorated nicely. Everything worked as advertised and the beds are awesome— for us. Some type of Tempurpedic and my son and I slept well both nights. Fire pit is a nice way to chill while bbq’ing and access to town and mountains is very, very easy. Thanks. Will stay again next year.

The cabin was warm, cozy, and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the location worked great to get to Wolf Creek ski area in about 19 minutes.

We have stayed at the Lonesome Dove twice now... once during the summer and once during the winter. It fits our family of four just fine!. The house is super clean and nicely decorated. It’s got everything you need!

Our family of four spent three nights at Return to Lonesome Dove for a couple of days of skiing at Wolf Creek. The cabin is in a great location for easy access to the ski mountain - just an easy 20min drive. The inside of the cabin adorable. It is so warm, cozy, and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked - I think their non-stick skillet is better than mine at home! We loved having the washer/dryer handy. Hot shower, comfortable beds. I was impressed with the amount of clever storage that was squeezed into the small spaces. Just a few things for guests to be aware of: 1) The cabin is right off the highway. While there is a porch and a little fire pit, the outside area isn't really somewhere you want to spend time. No big deal - we were there for the inside! 2) There is one bathroom that is accessed through the master bedroom. In that bathroom is a sink, toilet, shower/tub combo, and stacked washer/dryer. In one corner the hot water heater, water filtration system, etc. This mechanical area is not enclosed - so beware with small children. 3) Finally, also on the kiddo note - one of the upstairs beds backs directly to the stairwell. None of those things impacted the enjoyment of our stay, but I think it would have been helpful to know that. All in all, we loved the cabin and we can't wait to "Return to Lonesome Dove".
