What our guests are saying...
This is a top guest review for this property
Pros
The unit was like a pristine 70's time capsule and we loved it! The decor was so fun and really felt true to the era of the community and cabin. It was also comfortable, and not so stuffy that we couldn't relax having our kids and dog enjoy the cabin too. The cabin was very clean, no pet hair, floors and bathroom were sparkly, windows were clean, no cobwebs, etc. They had plenty of clean towels, individual shampoo/ conditioner and the kitchen was fully stocked. There were also great DVD options and board games.

The community center had an awesome pool table, ping pong table, library, puzzles, games, bathrooms, Wi-Fi, plenty of seating options and was a great spot!

Location, location, location – this unit had a peekaboo view to the sound and was directly across from a wonderful community park that had a covered BBQ area and water access. It was so fun to walk the shoreline, collect rocks and look at Mt. Rainier.
Speaking of location, there’s a nearby bakery (thankfully w/ delicious espresso drinks) that we enjoyed. There was also a museum not too far away that we checked out, it was small but cool.

Cons
The lady who works in the community center should not be working with people, when trying to get help with the gate code, she first shut the window in my face, kept interrupting me and was very unfriendly. Not a great representation of how cool the community is.

The 3-digit code provided to enter the property is a number used to call the unit to have someone let you in but no one is at the house so that's futile. I saw this comment in previous posts but thought they would have figured it out. Guess I was incorrect. I tried calling/ dialing the onsite office/ front desk and they did NOT want to let us in. After some negotiating she finally agreed to let us in but would not give us a good gate code. Luckily, once inside the unit there is a key card for the gate. We contacted Vacasa who provided another 3-digit code, but that never worked either. I would quadruple check Vacasa has resolved the gate code issue prior to arrival, especially if you plan to arrive late.

I had emailed prior to our Winter visit to see if the pool was indeed open and heated (even though outdoor) and was told it was. Untrue, the pool is regularly closed each season beginning in Sept. Totally understandable but we did double check and were misinformed – kids were bummed but it was fine. Hopefully they update the listing info after this post.

There are no window coverings in one of the bedrooms or the loft. We were mostly looking at trees but there was a house behind the cabin so it would be nice for privacy.

There were only a couple pillows on each bed, a couple more would have been nice but it wasn't a big deal.

Grocery stores are a haul (about 30-45 mins away) so I’d recommend brining any food you want for your trip.

Summary
All in all, the hiccups we encountered would not in any way stop us for returning and while Vacasa didn’t resolve the gate code issue, they were responsive and genuinely seemed to try to help. We loved the cabin & location – we will definitely be back, don’t change retro, relaxing cabin, you’re cool as you are!
