Located on the banks of the 'Sun River,' a channel of the Big Deschutes, this beautiful home has the feel of a rustic getaway in the heart of a premier resort community in Central Oregon. Guests will be just over 17 miles from Bend and 22 miles from Mt. Bachelor, and in the midst of thriving local wildlife.

Sporting river views and plenty of natural light from an abundance of windows, this home is two floors of comfort and simple design. Soak up the warmth from the fireplace framed in creamy tiles, enjoy the cable TV, or surf the Web via WiFi.

The open living area leads into the tiled dining/kitchen area, with room for up to eight at the dining table. Open the door to the deck to allow a nice breeze to waft through, or to make it easier to grill and socialize at the same time. The full kitchen has black appliances and windows galore. Serve coffee and donuts at the breakfast bar for two, and put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher for easy clean-up.

A soak in the hot tub is just what you need after a day of biking, golfing, skiing, or horseback riding. The deck is a wonderful place to enjoy a cool breeze, watch for wildlife, or use the grill to prepare the evening's feast.

If you need quiet time to nap or read, head up the sweeping staircase to the loft area, which has a sofa, a table for board games, and even a telescope!

This is a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home that will sleep up to eight people comfortably. There is a suite downstairs with an attached bathroom, a full bed, a private TV with a DVD/VCR player, and plenty of books to choose from!

Head upstairs to find three more bedrooms - two with queen beds (one of which has a private, river-view balcony) - and a patriotic-themed bedroom with two twins and lots of red, white, and blue! There is a spacious bathroom upstairs with a soaking tub. In addition, this rental includes a washer/dryer to keep packing fresh during your stay.

Though comfortable and relaxing, you may find it challenging to stay indoors once you've gotten to Sunriver. Outdoor recreation is particularly popular here. With the river so close, you could spend a day fishing or kayaking, or even book a rafting trip. Or perhaps you'd prefer to spend your day on a bike, on the back of a horse, or in a golf cart?

There's shopping and seasonal ice skating at the Village, or swimming and indoor tubing at SHARC (eight passes are provided). Skiing (both Nordic and alpine), snowboarding, and snowshoeing opportunities are close at hand.
