The room we had wasn’t that bad. I’m not a super picky person but I would expect the room to be cleaned to were you couldn’t tell the last group of people stayed there, unfortunately, this was not the case. There was strands of someone else’s hair on the night stands. The carpets had remnants (earring backs, safety pins, foil seal from whatever & more) of whoever was there before us. The master bedroom had cob-webs above the drapes. The drapes looked like they haven’t been taken down & cleaned since they put them up. Pots & pans had no matching lids, in fact, there were only 2 lids. I cooked one night & had to use 2 small pans but the only big pan had a bubble in the middle of the metal, therefore, all the food went to one side or split of on both sides. No baking sheets. Dishes had to be washed before we could use them. Wall paper was peeling a little bit in master bedroom. The building is older so it’s about time to update it. We paid a pretty decent for our stay. They accommodated us with a “starter kit” (dish soap, toilet paper,etc) which was nice. We liked that it was quiet. We stayed at the end of the season and the weather was still beautiful.

I’ll start with the good. The place has an amazing view. The appliances worked-the toaster needs to be replaced. It appears clean at first. Linens were clean. But the light switches, baseboards, furniture and doors/wall trim were filthy. I took plenty of photos as well. The power in the second bedroom did not work. I ended up flipping the fuse in the breaker box which fixed it but then the cable box still didn’t work and the surge protector was very much a fire hazard. They put us in a parking spot for a car the size of a Prius and we own a large truck. When I called they told me there was nothing they could do for us and to have the front desk help us. If they couldn’t help us, we were basically SOL. What kind of company does this? Then I am told I would be called regarding the parking situation and the power and guess what.. I never received a call.

This place did not have A/C. There was a makeshift arrangement and balcony was sealed off because of this.

Loved the view, it was awesome. The place was nice, outdated but not bad. Elevators and parking sucked. Overall, my family and I liked it and would stay there again

Place is a dump. Carpet is dirty. Cobwebs in corners. Kitchen drawers just hanging - won't close. Furniture worn out. Paint peeling. Sat on a barstool and screws popped through the seat. TV did not work in living room and master bedroom. No AC.... only a portable unit in living room in the sliding glass door of the balcony... so you could not go out; only through master bedroom. Master bedroom was an oven. They had 6 fans available that we had to use. One AC unit added to 2nd bedroom after I complained and halfway through our stay. Dishes cracked and dirty. Garbage disposal did not work which was not discovered until day of checkout. Temperature of unit was never below 78 degrees during our stay. AND there was no Wi-Fi. I had a college student and another member of my party who needed Wi-Fi to work a couple days of our stay. If you read the amenities you were to have cable and free WiFi!!
SOOO disappointed!! Bad representation of Vacasa to rent this unit out!!!

The view was wonderful. Good thing since the view inside contained ripped wallpaper, black mold and outdated, uncomfortable furniture. The kitchen was poorly stocked (not even a potholder) and any dish we used had to be washed first. There were also bugs. This place is equipped like a crash pad for spring break but it is billed as a family condo. Worst VRBO property we have ever stayed in. We reported it (including a screen that fell over) and have gotten no response.

My husband and I decided to give this place a try even though the reviews were not great, but we were a bit disappointed. The view is great! But it is clear the owners of this condo have not made improvements in a very long time. The shower head broke off during our stay and even though we made 2 calls to Vacasa it was never fixed. The garbage disposal also doesn't work, which I reported to Vacasa as well. The parking space is very tight, be careful if you have a large vehicle.

As an Airbnb host myself, I work very hard to keep my clients happy and comfortable in my home. I will give you an honest review from someone who isn’t SUPER picky.

Positives: The condo was very clean. The cleaning crew did a great job. But, it hard to polish a All kitchen appliances worked well. View was beautiful. Nice bathroom set up.

Negatives: The AC unit did not work at all! After 3 phone calls and waiting on hold for 20-60 minutes to get through, they sent a maintenance guy who said the unit was on its last legs. It was 85 during most days and it took until about 3-4 am to get into the mid 70s. Master bedroom was about 10 degrees hotter than the living area. It was unbearable. The condo hasn’t been updated since probably the 80s. Many things were broken...counter laminate peeling off, drawers in kitchen busted and falling out, wall paper peeling everywhere, mold on trim and floor in bathroom, broken bathroom tiles, broken door latch, horrid lockbox...I honestly could go on and on...

Just do yourself a favor and look at other condos. Unless you like sweating while sleeping and don’t mind a broken/outdated condo.

The accommodation was not that nice. The shower was disgusting and the shower head leaked. The kitchen had awful pots and pans and no cutting board supplied. The kitchen drawers were terrible to open and silverware not even a complete set! Air conditioning did not work well . I would not recommend this unit to anyone.

The unit was in desperate need of updating, Shower problems, cracks in ceiling, furniture very used not in a good way. Wall paper coming off walls. All dishes and silverware needed washing before we could us it. Coffee pot did not get hot took two days and three phone calls for them to replace it. The comforters or blankets had dog hair or very short human hair all over them. Gave my daughter a really bad rash. The view and amenities were awesome.

The view is worthy of two stars. The property is in bad shape!!! The wall paper is coming off the walls in the master bedroom & the bathroom. The Coffee table has a huge crack down the middle. The bar stools need to be replaced along with the very old couch, when you sit on it goes to the floor. The second bedroom dresser top has paint coming off of it. I don't believe the owner has been to the property in a lonnnng time because the love is gone from the place. Or he just don't care.

We love the golden sands condominium- however if this was my first time here I would never go back. The air did not work - the kitchen utensils and appliances are older than me. All patio furniture is rusted, to the point you may need a tetanus shot. And the screen doors to the patio were off the track when we got there. The only thing That saved this vaca was the view and the fact that I had friends in other units that were great and hung out there most of the week
If this was my first time ever in this condo I wouldn’t ever go back

The view from the master bedroom is amazing. Carpet is in very rough shape, I felt like I needed to keep my sandals on the whole time. Throw carpets in bathroom are kinda gross. Ceiling in shower area, paint chipping real bad. Kitchen in nice shape. Was very nice to have sheets, towels, and bathroom supplies added to this room. This is unlike a lot of condos in oc.

unit 2112 is in need of some major upgrading , air cond system is horrible master bedroom is 10 degrees hotter that other rooms carpets need cleaning or replacing views of the beach are nice

GOOD: The kiosk by the building outside area is fantastic!! They have the best crab cake ever! Prices and service are great. The best spot, you don't need to go anywhere. You have everything THERE!! Even the Blue Angels and other planes (OC Air show) passed by the area and we loved! The view of the condo was amazing!!
BAD: The apartment had about 50 chairs. I don't understand why to keep so much bad quality chairs everywhere. Everything is old, the kitchen's drawers are falling down. The master bedroom's pillows were smelling cigarettes. The carpet was dirty in general. Even after the great job of the room service.

The view from our bedroom was amazing. Had two very nice pools, although one day it got shut down because of some bacteria in the pool? The beach is right off the back. Has very nice shops and stuff in the main complex itself. The washer and dryer were alil old but they did the job. The staff there was great. Also we left a bag with alot of valuables behind when we went home, called the people from vacasa right up and they got it all taken care of and we had the left behind bag back at home in less then a week with everything inside. They were great.

Due to a/c issues, and Leionaire's Disease in the condo community, we did not stay there. We were pleased with the attention we received though in getting different accommodations at the Carousel which worked very well.

Golden Sands is great location; however condo is rundown and host is unresponsive. Had to buy our own sheets.

Would have been nice to know that water in hotel had health warning about the water in the hotel and several people had gotten pneumonia from it before we showed up.

The view from the bedroom is unlike any other! Floor to ceiling Windows. You can lay in bed and watch the tides roll in and out. Anything that is needed Garret, with Vacasa, is available at all times. I would highly recommend this unit!
