Skier's dream w/ski-in/out access, hot tub, pool, & more!

Stay right in the middle of the action when you book your trip at this mountain-side Durango retreat. Set just steps away from the lifts at the Purgatory Ski Resort, you'll have ski-in/ski-out access as well as shared amenities like a hot tub and pool.

Walk outside the front door and find yourself on the lifts without hassle. Just 27 miles north of Durango, you'll be surrounded by hiking trails, world-class mountain terrain, and an endless array of outdoor opportunities to delve into. During the winter months we highly recommend using a 4x4 vehicle to access the property safely.

The warm decor is a mixture of chic-rustic and contemporary, creating an inviting ambiance. Views of the slopes greet you from your third level windows.

Cuddle up by the red stone wood-burning fireplace with a good book, or catch up with your favorite cable show on the flatscreen HDTV. Don't forget a few DVDs so that you can dive into a bowl of buttery popcorn and have a laughter-filled movie night.

Kick back on the private deck with a cold local brew and connect to the WiFi to check the snow report before tomorrow's adventures. Let the private washer/dryer take care of the dirty laundry so that everyone stays looking their best.

Sleek counters and rich wood cabinets add touches of elegance to the open kitchen with standard white appliances. You can serve buffet-style on the breakfast bar while you dine at the ornate wooded dining room table. The dishwasher will take care of clean-up while you enjoy a night cap out on the balcony under the stars. Take advantage of the shared amenities with a long soak in the bubbling hot tub, or a refreshing swim in the community pool.

Sip your morning cup of coffee as you plan your attack on the slopes just outside your door. Get your gear and hit the slopes for a day of pristine snow-inspired fun. Let the beginners learn on the bunny slopes while the more advanced skiers test their limits on the challenging downhill runs and scenic courses.

When the snow melts, another season of fun starts on the mountain. Ride the alpine slide to feel the wind whip through your hair, or jump on the zip-line to really get the adrenaline going. Hike through the trails or fly down them on a mountain bike.

Fill your stay with alpine excursions, relaxation, and easy access to everything an outdoor lover needs when you stay at this Colorado mountain-side escape. A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

Parking Notes: There is a parking garage for guests of Purgatory Village (Village Center 305). Once you get the condo keycard from the Durango Mountain Resort front desk, they can give you access to the parking garage.

Great location and amazing views. Would definitely stay here again.
Mary R. May 2021
What we loved was the location. The main bathroom shower had trouble with hot water. The condo is dated and felt so. There is some deferred maintenance. The furniture wasn't as comfy but worked. Finally figured out how to work the main TV; it is turned on and off from the set. But who cares. The mountains are out your door. The kitchen dishes had a lot of chips and the inside of the cabinets were in need of help. The utensils and pots and pans were all used up but the silverware was new. Again, this is a really great location with large living spaces. We could load and unload from the main floor with designated parking.
Manager response:
Hi, Mary! Thank you for telling us about your visit. Housekeeping has gone through to do a deep clean of the kitchen and organize the contents. New inventory has been purchased as well. The shower diverter issue is being addressed. We hope to see you again!

This purgatory condo is in an excellent location for ski in and ski out. A few things we observed on our stay; there is noise in the condo from the residence above, and the snow cats grooming the mountain throughout the night are loud. If you are a light sleeper, you will hear them frequently. The heat kept kicking on even though we had it turned down, so our stay was uncomfortably warm. The condo is comfortable, yet outdated.
Manager response:
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback, Stacy. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the location and coziness of this home! The convenient location does also bring some added noise, and we apologize for any disruption this caused during your visit. We have passed your concerns to our local manager who will work with the homeowner to address the noise issues. We have also scheduled maintenance for the heating system in the home. We hope we can host you for a truly relaxing stay at one of our many properties in the future!

Nice condo..... has to be the best location at the resort!
Hilary G. Oct 2020
The unit was all that we needed, excellent location (ground floor, no messing with elevators, right at the base of the mountain). The wood burning fireplace was awesome for the cold nights- loved the double decks and if we had been here in the winter after the snow had arrived, it would have been magical. The gentleman at the front desk at check in was amazing, so helpful, had firewood sent to the unit in minutes of us asking. We will absolutely be back and would be thrilled to stay here again. Thank you!

we had a wonderful time. The condo had a great location to Durango and Ouray. We also had an amazing day right at the resort. Our family loved all the activities. The house was clean and communication was good.
Elouise D. Jul 2020
We loved how clean the condo was. Very convenient spot, too. We were able to visit some awesome hiking places
Marilyn D. Mar 2020
Beautiful inside, view of slopes and plaza, very spacious!!

The best location! Views are so beautiful.
Vivian G. Feb 2020
Took a party of 6 and the accommodations were great. Wood fires every night and ski from front door to lift Awesome!
LINDA R. Jan 2020
Great atmosphere. Clean and right by the lifts! Definitely will stay again.
Steve P. Mar 2019
This condo is on a corner overlooking the base. Perfect view of the lift and mountain. Nice size for 5-6 people. Everything we needed for eating all our meals at the condo. Easy to stop for lunch, dry wet clothes and get back to the slope after a break!
Teri W. Mar 2019
We loved the location! Plenty of size for a family of 4. With the foldout couch we could have fit more comfortably. It is right at the base of the slopes. Convenient for lunch breaks and dinners out if too tired to cook. We had great weather and a great time! Would definitely come back again.

We booked #305 for a quick ski weekend. Booking and checking went smoothly. The unit is in the corner of the complex with an unobstructed views of the main plaza and mountain views from both balconies. The unit is on the main plaza, so you are just steps from the chair lifts. The inside of the unit needs some work. The furnishings are dated, beds/sheets not very comfortable and there is just some deferred maintenance that needs to be done (running toilets, bad faucets, etc). Being on the 3rd floor, if there is anyone in the unit above you, you will hear them. We wouldn't rent this unit again, but I do believe it offers a great value.
Manager response:
We are glad to hear you had a great ski weekend! We have forwarded your feedback and made suggestions for upgrades to our local staff. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future!
RANDALL B. Jan 2019
Loved, loved the location. Corner unit with great views of the base and ski lifts. Truly ski-in and ski-out. Furnishings and beds were fantastic. Can't get any better than this unit!!
Randal N. Jan 2019
The view and location are excellent. A few things within the unit need attention.
Jennifer P. Jan 2019
This was a great location & condo!

We didn't want to leave! This vacation was like staying in your own home, but without any worries. Want to stay here again.
Jill B. Aug 2018
Nice views and pleasant place.
Amy D. Jul 2018
It was your own little house close to all that was going on at purgatory
Kerry B. Jul 2018
We stayed here the 4th of July and it was great! There’s lots of fun things to do in the summer: scenic chair lift, alpine slide, trampoline, ropes course, and a great mountain biking course. The dining does seem to close around 8 pm but there’s enough to keep you busy for a few days. Purgatory is only about 21 minutes from Silverton and about 35 minutes from Durango. If you’re going to Durango, don’t forget to stop at Honeyville for some cinnamon honey!
Tara G. Mar 2018
Great roomy home. Close to the slopes and great view.
Nathaniel C. Feb 2018
The size, fit out and location of this unit is amazing. We had an incredible time!
Peggie W. Jan 2018
Loved being so close to all of the activity!
Dawn M. Jan 2018
Our reservation was not in the Resort's computer so we were told we did not have a reservation seeing how we did in fact pay over $4000 for the reservation. Our children were cold and hungry with a truck load of groceries and supplies while we were told there was nothing anyone could do and no one answered the phone at the management company. Finally the resort let us into the room and we received a return phone call from Vacasa after the fact.
The resort implied it was the management companies fault and Vacasa implied it was the resort's fault.
Jim R. Sep 2017
If you're going to spend time in the Durango area this is the place to stay. Very comfortable, quiet and has everthing you need for a relaxing vacation.
Jules H. Sep 2017
We were in the area for a wedding that was close by. We enjoyed staying at this resort and planned to return during the winter so we can ski. The unit was well cleaned and stocked well, the check-in process was easy, and the location was great. The summer activities at the resort are fun as well. Thank you.
David W. Jul 2017
Wonderful time in the mountains!!!
Cyndie S. Jun 2017
This is a beautiful home. We loved staying here. Appreciated the nice gift bag from the Vacasa family. Enjoyed the local honey and the coffee included in this bag. Thanks Teri, we would highly recommend this particular home to everyone. Loved that it had a separate entrance for our son and his fiancé to come and go as they pleased.

We loved the view and location
Desiree V. Jan 2017
This condo is centrally located for a convenient day of skiing. It is an end unit with two balconies; both with views of the mountain and great for people watching. The balconies also provided a space for skis and pole storage while a tile hallway near the master bathroom housed our ski boots from the outside elements. Speaking of ski equipment, we didn't even have to venture outside the condo building to rent. The rental shop is just a walk down the hallway and two flights of stairs down inside the same building! Lift tickets can purchased the next building over at the Purgatory Lodge, so another couple flights down and across the courtyard, hardly a walk. The IS absolutely perfectly located, so easy to access everything and the ski lifts are just steps away once you get outside.
Roy K. Nov 2016
Great location. I put everything in the questionnaire.
Amanda R. Sep 2016
Great location just make sure you are aware that everything shuts down during the summer mid-week. Not a single restaurant was open for dinner nor a bar. Condo was large and spacious for 2 couples.
Amanda R. Sep 2016
The rooms were lovely and the property and surrounding area was beautiful. Had a wonderful time.
Pam K. Aug 2016
Purgatory Village, 26 miles north of Durango, CO is a great deal in mid- August. We were very happy with the cleanliness and condition of our accommodations and the facility in general.
William G. Jul 2016
We will be back next year and stay longer. Best place for children's activities.
James P. Jul 2016
Good value for the money in the local resort of Purgatory. The property advert over promises a bit (your view is another building) but it is roomy and right next to all the things Purgatory offers - and the surrounding hills. If you plan to use the kitchen, come with everything you need because absolutely nothing was in the cupboards (not even salt and pepper) and the local store offers little.
Barb B. Jun 2016
Stayed at Purgatory Village in mid-June 2016. The condo is nicely furnished and a great size for a family of 4. We were all able to spread out in separate areas and were comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’ll need to prepare meals. The grounds are very nice and in the summer, there are activities (trampoline, ropes course, alpine slide, mini golf). The pool is very nice and has a beautiful view of the San Juans from the sun deck. Every day ended with a soak in the roof-top hot tub. Condo is about 30 minutes from Durango in an idyllic mountain setting. The owner was very attentive and accommodating to whatever issues arose. A great place to stay and relax.
