Peaceful and relaxing.

Just outside of town it's in an amazing location as a jumping off spot to explore the park. Port Angeles is a great town and everyone we met was very nice and helpful
Liliana O. Oct 2021
The home was great for our needs! Yes it's an older home but that's what gave it it's charm. The new bathroom was amazing. The rooms & beds were comfy. It has the essentials for us. Would definitely recommend.
Andrew G. A. Oct 2021
Everything was as advertised. It is a home away from home.
Bruce W. Sep 2021
Quiet, great location, beautiful house and setting…. Close to town, Hurricane Ridge and the roads leading to Hoh and the beaches. A perfect stay for us. Complaints? None.
Milos K. Aug 2021
Really lovely place. Wonderful location and cozy living space.
Allison B. Jul 2021
This place was in a great location for the national park. It was well stocked and clean with all the basics in the kitchen including a wide range of spices, paper supplies, detergents, and towels. It had personality in the decor, local art and games for entertainment. It functioned really well with privacy for each bedroom and great shared and outdoor spaces. It is nestled in the woods, so it doesn't have a long distance view. Lots of deer, hummingbirds and bunnies in the yard. Lots of privacy and about 7 minutes to town. The Hurricane Ridge ONP entrance is within a mile or two. You do need a car to get around ONP. We have stayed in many rentals and this is the best of the best. My kids said this was on of their favorite places ever. Check in and out was very easy. Port Angeles currently doesn't have uber eats, but they do have instacart and some restaurants deliver.

Lovely property “in the woods” but close to services and Olympic National Park. The property was very clean and well-maintained. Excellent communication on rules and tips for being at the property. The house was very roomy for the six of us and very comfortable. It was also well-equipped for cooking meals. We would rent this property again!
Manager response:
We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us. We passed your comments along to our local manager. We look forward to hosting your next stay!

This Woodland Retreat is convenient to both the town of Port Angeles and the Hurricane Ridge Road leading into the National Park, making this a great base for outdoor activities in Clallam County. The check-in/check-out process was very smooth and effortless. Vacasa sent timely emails to include thorough instructions for house entry and checking out. The directions to the house were easy to follow. Regarding the road conditions leading to the house: after leaving the paved highway, you're on a maintained gravel road for 100 yards or so, then you follow a medium-steep (but fairly short) paved driveway up to the house and paved parking area. (For those arriving on motorcycles, the road and driveway are easy-as-pie in dry conditions - but may pose some difficulty in heavy rain or freezing conditions). The house itself is spacious and very clean; well-stocked with board games, books, tourist info pamphlets, and DVDs. The kitchen is also well-stocked, with plenty of counter space. The master bedroom is spacious with a very comfortable King bed - plenty of extra linens, if needed. The master bathroom appears newly renovated and includes radiant floors, fantastic mirror lighting, and two types of shower heads (including rainfall). The other 2 bedrooms were also spacious with plenty of linens. The WiFi worked speedily without issues. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Thomas L. Jun 2021
Wonderfully appointed, quiet, and private. Only 2 of us but would be perfect for 4 or 5. King bed super comfortable. Originally booked another property that became unavailable so we were so lucky to get this one. Really nice job on Vacasa’s behalf of taking care of customers. After unpleasant experience with ABNB I will always check Vacasa first for our lodging needs first!!!!
Julia H. May 2021
Loved the Northwest feel of the home. Very comfortable space, decorated with Native art. Many windows and decks integrate the National Park into the home.
Well equipped kitchen.
Letícia R. Aug 2020
The house is perfect. Plenty of kitchen supplies, surrounded by nature, the rooms are spacious and the master bedroom has a wonderful bathroom. It is close to the park entrance if you plan to do some hikes and close enough to port angeles to have dinner and lunch.
I definitely recommend.
Max I. Aug 2020
The space was the stuff of dreams. Highly recommend.
Cynthia S. Jul 2020
We loved the location, very close to Port Angeles, yet set in its own woodlands. The home’s architecture and wrap around porch made a great layout for our family to have separate spaces while still having togetherness. With all of the amenities the place offers, we did find it strange that they do not provide a grill.
Connor M. Jul 2020
We had a great stay here - the location near Hurricane Ridge is fantastic, and the house is spacious, comfortable, and secluded. I'd love to come back.
Cathryn H. Jul 2020
Great selection of books. Games available.
I enjoyed the quiet....no network TV! 👍
Good place fir getting around the Olympic Peninsula.
Kristina T. Jul 2020
Very comfortable spacious house. Enjoyed looking out at the forest while spending time with family. Discovered a new board game. The kitchen had everything we needed; the master bathroom was luxurious. Close to Port Angeles, Lake Crescent, and Hurricane Ridge.
Lisa S. Jun 2020
This home was quiet and comfortable for our family. Everything that you needed to stay warm and cozy was available. Being so close to the Olympic National Park as well as the South Sound was great. The only thing that we would have wished for was a more comfortable outdoor space to enjoy the nice weather.
Nancy H. Oct 2019
Just how I wanted to celebrate - with husband and dear friends! A quiet beautiful retreat - it rained - but we sat in the stillness of the forest and watched the falling leaves. Perfection!
madge s. Oct 2019
The four of us loved the quiet beauty surrounding the Sleeping Raven. The vacation home is tastefully furnished, spacious and comfortable, plus a great kitchen for two cooks.
Margaret C. Sep 2019
This house is so warm and welcoming in a serene, tranquil forest yet close to Port Angeles. Our group of four loved it.
VICKI K. Aug 2019
The house was very comfortable and the setting was very beautiful and quiet. We stayed with our daughter and her husband and 2 little ones. Plenty of room for 6 and could actually sleep 8. The master bathroom is wonderful with the heated floor and rain shower... had a little trouble figuring out how to turn on the hand held but finally got it! More than adequate supply of towels and kitchen equipment.

The only negative I have is that the lawn was not mowed and the kids were scared of the bees visiting the dandelions so they would not play outside.

I would say though that it was a great place and we had a very good stay.
Demitri B. Aug 2019
Clean, organized house, with a great fireplace in center room. Awesome master bath and bedrooms. Well laid out, lots of space and great living space. Totally recommend!
Meg J. Jul 2019
Lovely home and surroundings, thoughtfully prepared for guests to relax and enjoy
Asmahan S. Jul 2019
Lovely architecture and peaceful green surrounding
Kim M. Jun 2019
The wood fireplace and back deck are the highlights of this comfortable, well furnished home.
Rosean S. Jun 2019
Great and very secluded location. Easy access to local tourist spots. Home was equipped with everything we needed for our stay.
Nathan G. Jun 2019
Calm. Quiet. Beautiful. Peaceful. The Sleeping Raven Retreat was a perfect gateway to exploring the Olympic Peninsula. Location was perfect, the property was amazing and we will 100% be booking again when we visit.
Mary H. Jun 2019
Lovely place - very peaceful!
Lynn P. May 2019
I can only second (and 3rd and 4th) what other reviewers have already stated. Sleeping Raven is peaceful, quiet, and only minutes to town. The L-Shaped layout places the bedrooms far away from the kitchen area so there is no issue with some parties sleeping and others working/cooking/hanging out.

The master bath layout is so fantastic that I took pictures and hope to do the same with my full time home someday.

The home is clean. Internet access is solid. Beds are comfy. Can't wait to go back with my husband.
ALBERT Y. Apr 2019
This house is indeed a gem in the Olympic National Park. The location of the house is close to everything while being private. We enjoyed very much in this vacation house and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay here for the visit to Olympic National Park.
Emily S. Mar 2019
Excellent home and location. We will definitely be back soon!
Еlla R. Sep 2018
It is all surrounded by trees , one feels like in the middle of the forest with nobody around. It is actually a cosy home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms , full kitchen, fireplace in the living room. It feels like actual people lived there, probably elderly couple , who loved to read , to cook. Very special place. Everything you need to have a perfect vacation in Olympic Peninsula. Highly recommended.
Amit B. Sep 2018
The best house we have ever been
Catherine C. Jun 2018
The location is beautiful and has easy access to major park locations and charming Port Angeles. The house sits in a perfect setting among the forest of trees and ferns. Very comfortable and convenient house.
Kevin K. May 2018
Easy drive into town, but feels like you are in the middle of the woods - because you are! Plenty of room for family of five. Unit provided coffee, tea, soaps, and laundry tabs. Nice touches if you forgot anything. Only suggestion I have is to add a shower door or curtain to the beautifully remodeled master. (So someone else can use the vanity while the other showers.)
Jingyi P. May 2018
Love everything the place are quit and at the woods. inside are so pretty and comfortable. lots of games to play. not far away with Safeway, and parks. LOVE IT!
Jessica W. Apr 2018
The house was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. I loved the decor and attention to details. The view of the forest was beautiful. Our family of 6 had plenty of room and we enjoyed a very peaceful time here.
Imre B. Apr 2018
So peaceful, so nice, i wish we could stay longer!
John A. Dec 2017
You'll enjoy staying at this property with an extended family as we have. Lot's of room for those with differing sleep schedules. Kitchen is remote from sleeping rooms with a door to dining room eliminating any noise to sleeping areas. Comfortable lounging furnishings. Dining area is likewise comfortable for dining and games. The extra breakfast/dining area off the kitchen with it's own wood burning stove is great. Watch how big a fire you build as it will get hot in there! Lot's of dry firewood just outside the front door. Nice walk-around decks with sufficient roof overhang even when raining.
Megan L. Oct 2017
You can see from the pictures how nice this place is -- tucked away in the woods with no other home in sight but close to town and all the great things Olympic National Park has to offer. The home is big and comfy, with lots of spots to lounge or gather, inside and out, and with beautiful artwork. The real pleasure of this home, however, is in the details you can't see in photos. Really nice sheets and beds. Plenty of fluffy white towels. Toiletries and soap for the sinks and laundry. Sharp knives and kitchen wear that aren't throwaways from the owner's main home. A coffee and tea bar with everything you need for hot drinks. Instructions on how to use things. It's these kind of things that make or break a vacation rental. We live in Missouri but I wish I lived closer to rent this place more often. It's fantastic. We'll be back to Washington just to stay in this place again.
Mary F. Oct 2017
This is a great home with a lovely wooded view from the vast decks. Very comfortable, kitchen very well appointed, so nice to have a washer and dryer, and so close to Hurricane Ridge.
Lois M. Sep 2017
could use access to standard tv channels- not sure if cable or satellite is lacking --only a looped run of local news channels through an app was disappointing. Subscribe to cable would be appropriate for future guesta
Rong W. Sep 2017
This house is nicely located, very clean and quiet.

Valerie V. Sep 2017
Convenient to north and west sides of peninsula. Beautifully appointed. Easy to deal with.
Rick B. Aug 2017
A lovely quiet and relaxing location, home away from home.
Aaron S. Aug 2017
Quick drive to store, hurricane ridge, downtown. Just off 101 but in a secluded neighborhood surrounded by woods. Very quiet.
House was perfect for family of 4. Great layout. Several dining areas including decks. Large wooded yard for kids to explore.

Strong Wi-Fi. The tv is connected for netflix and there is a good selection of movies, board games, and books. There are usb charging stations and a couple of bluetooth speakers in case it is too quiet.
Van D. Aug 2017
Sleeping Raven Woodland Retreat is a beautiful, serene home in the middle of the forest surrounded by mature trees. The not very shy deer came to say hello almost every day. Our family of 6 adults thoroughly enjoyed our six-night stay here. We spent 3 days visiting Olympic NP, one day Victoria, B.C., and one day Washington Lavender, Tongue Point at Salt Creek Recreation Area (picnic & tidepooling), the very informative Makah Museum and Neah Bay, where spectacular Cape Flattery Trail is (both not to be missed!). Rialto Beach, although over an hour's drive from the house, is a world unto itself with huge dead tree trunks and huge logs on it, which makes for incredible photos. Also check out either First, Second, or Third Beach near Rialto Beach.

The common areas of the house are very spacious, so everybody could have their own corner, if needed, and we ate our meals (breakfasts and dinners) mostly in the dining area off the kitchen. The bedrooms were comfortable, but it would have been nice to have a half bath so we wouldn't have to wait to use the guest bathroom.

Although we didn't use them, there are decks by the entry door near the kitchen, off the kitchen, and off the master bedroom. We appreciated the keyless entry, which made entering and leaving the home very easy.

The house has very tasteful Native American art and exotic runners in the hallways.

We highly recommend Sleeping Raven Woodland Retreat!
Arnold S. Jul 2017
Good layout, bedrooms away from common areas. Spacious and comfortable, secluded private lot, easy to find.
Will B. Jun 2017
This is a lovely open, spacious house, set in peaceful grounds. And at around a 5 minute drive from town it's not too inconvenient. We were regularly visited by a couple of deer, which gives you an idea of the tranquil location.

Bedrooms are a great size, with one en suite. The living room is lovely and open, with a balcony running the length of the property. There is a Pack N Play crib provided, which isn't listed in the facilities but is ideal if you have an infant with you.

The washer/dryer were high quality, and very useful (with washing tablets provided).

Highly recommended.
Lynn S. May 2017
The Sleeping Raven Woodland Retreat was truly a wonderful respite that was welcoming and extraordinarily comfortable. We enjoyed playing games at the dining room table, making meals in the kitchen and enjoying breakfast together. We built a fire and enjoyed it while we were chatting. The kitchen was stocked with nearly every culinary tool possible and all of the equipment was high quality and easy to use. This property is very highly recommended.
Kathy B. Nov 2016
We loved this place when we found it on line, but were just wowed when we saw it up close and personal!!!! The cabin was so tastefully decorated for the holidays and seemed warm and inviting as we drove in to the drive way. The beds were deliciously comfortable! Every room had an oriental carpet- something I have always loved, so it was just a little extra for me! Lots of art work. The living area was large and inviting, we didn't have our entire family with us but want to bring everyone back one day!!!!
Carol L. Oct 2016
I look forward to seeing Washington state again, will book again
Jennifer M. Oct 2016
I searched for a vacation home last minute so there were not a lot of availabilities. Boy, what a find! Great house-clean cut and very spacious. I've never encountered such a well stocked rental house kitchen, lots of things to cook in and appliances to use. No view but seclusion in the woods with huge windows everywhere, a great deck, and peace and quiet make up for it. Easy to find. The icing on the cake for me was not one but two functional wood stoves and an endless supply of wood that provided for the best ambience in the forest ever! Thanks for the use of your lovely home, it made for a great vacation!
John C. Sep 2016
Lovely wooded setting only 10 min from Port Angeles. Nicely decorated in NW Indian motif. Very comfortable and quiet. Would be nice to add a grill for BBQ
David R. Aug 2016
We really enjoyed the serenity of this place.
Larry H. Aug 2016
Great location for doing things around Olympic peninsula
Ariel S. Aug 2016
Wonderful setting and large amount of space! Perfect to explore Hurricane Ridge!
Shamin S. Aug 2016
I decided to book this property in spite of it not having tons of highly rated reviews at the time (had just a few ratings which were all high) - turned out to be a great pick & my family of three stayed here for a week.
This home/property is awesome, the location very convenient & we saw a lot of wildlife on the property. Was one of the best vacations we have had- we are so thankful for the opportunity to stay at this property.
William B. Jul 2016

Plenty of room here with spacious bedrooms, lots of windows and peace. Would definitely stay here again.
