Rustic home w/large decks, shared pool, great location near marina & more!

Surrounded by trees and decorated with rustic charm, this Groveland vacation home is the perfect spot for your next trip! With access to a community swimming pool, plus a great location near the area's best attractions, this home will be an ideal backdrop for your relaxing getaway.

Under a mile from the Pine Mountain Lake Marina and under two miles to the golf course and central Groveland, this house is in an area that's convenient but not crowded. Yosemite National Park, with stunning scenery and hiking trails galore, is only 25 miles east.

The open-concept living space is great for spending time together. Start a fire in the gas fireplace and put on a DVD, Netflix, or satellite TV. If you need to look up a recipe for dinner, log onto the WiFi. A fully equipped kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare delicious meals, plus a coffeemaker to ensure that you've got plenty of energy to do so. There's even a dishwasher for easy cleanup!

The large front deck is the perfect place to entertain and relax on warm afternoons. There is a quiet back deck as well, to enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings of tall cedar and pine trees. Breathe in the smell of the trees as sunlight dapples the wooded surroundings, and enjoy the aroma of grilling that perfect steak, or a fresh-caught fish on the gas bbq. Watch carefully for wildlife and you might see deer, squirrels, and other furry neighbors!

With three bedrooms, as many as six guests will sleep comfortably here. Outdoor-themed decor evokes the lakes and streams of the nearby area in the two rooms with 1 King bed, and 1 Queen bed/1 futon in same room. The third bedroom has a lovely and very comfortable full sized bed.

There are two bathrooms, the better to share space with a group. A washer and dryer make it easy to get clothes clean after outdoor activities.

Families will love all of the options for entertainment nearby. The Pine Mountain Lake community has a fantastic green for those who want to play some golf, right by tennis courts and a community pool. Use your parking pass to gain access to the pool. Rent a bike or a steed from the equestrian stables and explore local trails, or head to the lake to fish or go kayaking or sailing with a boat rented from the marina. In the summer, the kids will be thrilled by the movies they show on the lawn at night!

Yosemite has so much to offer the intrepid outdoor adventurer. Amazing rock climbing can be found throughout the park, but advanced climbers may be most excited by the extended crack climbs in the Merced River Canyon. If you're looking for something a bit more zen, bring binoculars for birdwatching or a fishing pole for stream and river fishing. There is also lake fishing at Pine Mountain Lake, fishing licenses required, but can be purchased at the Marina Store. Perhaps best of all, the stunning scenery is an inspiration to photographers, so make sure to bring your good camera. Dodge Ridge Ski Resort (54 miles north) and Black Oak Casino (27 miles north) also provide plenty of diverse activities.

Make your next vacation unforgettable by booking this California home!

The lake and the grill at the lake is the best place to take the kids. Yosemite is just down the road. I great place for family memories.

Very comfortable and well provisioned. Close to our friends' house for easy walk to join them for gathering. Quiet location and easy walk to the lake for water fun. Nearby town of Groveland fun and cute. Ate with live music at the Iron Door. Bonus: Mama doe nursed her fawn outside back deck most days.

Let me start by saying that the home was spacious and cozy for our party of five and we had a lovely stay. It did not start off on the right foot, though, because the local Vacasa representative had forgotten to put our name on the parking list. We arrived at 11:00pm, had already waited in line for about 15 minutes, and then had to call Vacasa headquarters and get back at the end of the line just to enter the premises. (And I am not totally sure why we needed to pay to park when the home had a very large driveway. . .) The house overall was comfortable but a bit dusty and worn. It could definitely use some freshening up and some TLC. The sheets on the beds and towels were clean, but there were a lot of cobwebs throughout the house. We found some extra sheets crumpled in a ball in one of the closets, but there were not enough pillow cases. If you are used to the level of service provided by other vacation rental services such as Airbnb, this experience will be a bit disappointing. For example, you get one bag per trash can if you happen to fill up the first one (which is easy to do when you are doing your own cooking). You only get two pellets for the dishwasher. There was a tiny bit of salt and sugar and some coffee filters, but no spices or cooking oil. The kitchen shelves were labeled with photos for the dishes, which detracted from the homey feeling of the place. (There was also a sign asking us to save water by allowing "two tinkles" before we flushed the toilet . . . eww!!!) On a positive note, the neighborhood is beautiful, we enjoyed the front deck surrounded by pine trees, and the Vacasa headquarters was very communicative. The place has potential and could be improved with a little more personalized service and some TLC to the property.
Manager response:
Hi, Stephanie! Thank you for telling us about your visit. We do not provide any edible items due to ant concerns; we have found it a best practice to throw them out. We do apologize if we missed getting your name on the list and are glad to see it was resolved quickly. Hopefully we can better impress you in the future!

This place was warm, cozy, and better than the pictures. We walked in and were in instant, relaxing vacation mode. The frogs chirping at night from the creek was a pleasant, outdoor sound, and a few deer came through the yard. Good place for adults, kids, and families.

Our family stayed three nights and enjoyed the silence of the forest. Good equipped and lovely decorated house, not high tech but comfortable. Deers came very close to the terrace, lovely. Short driving distance to the lake which is great for swimming and water sports. Would come again.

A great place to bring the family for a wonderful holiday in such a fabulous location. I only wish we had more time to spend at the property.

Very simple, clean, and nicely kept house. Felt like home. Very comfortable and everything placed so conveniently. Perfect location and spacious indoors.
Teresa L. Jun 2019
This home was spotless. Only 1.25 hours to Yosemite. Deer greeted us every morning. Definitely a perfect place in the area.

Great Location, near the market and the road to Yosemite.
Eric B. Aug 2018
House was clean. It had a few extra things that we didn’t bring.
Alastair M. Aug 2018
Location was good - about 1hr from Yosemite. Guest access to local outdoor pool was a bonus. Really good local store stocked almost all things needed for the duration of stay. Subway and 2 gas stations within 2 miles. 2 restaurants on site plus golf course. Property was clean, but very dated / tired and in need of modernisation; having said that, everything worked. Shower / bath inherently dangerous - if you book this property, be very careful and mind children as there is no thermostatic control of hot water (boiling hot only - this would not be permitted in a UK holiday let). Oven very old fashioned (electric rings) - again, dangerous if you have small children. Internet extremely slow (almost dial-up speed). No TV stations seemed to be available. Location perhaps a little too quiet for some (and adjacent properties were unoccupied making if seem quite isolated). Property situated within a wooded area. Would have appreciated a map of the site on arrival at property and a personal welcome letter would have been nice. One smoke detector in property. Not suitable for those who struggle to walk (very steep drive approx 1:1 gradient and steps up to door but all in one level inside). Would not visit again based on things that need attention.
Manager response:
We are sorry this guest was not fully satisfied with their rental. It is isolated in a very quiet neighborhood, and the cabin maintains a rustic appeal. We have adjusted the hot water and appreciate having that brought to our attention. There are maps provided in the guest folders, and there are complimentary packets at the office that are complete with maps, "Things To Do" lists, rules and notices, etc. Thank you!

Everything was fine, better than expected. Only the WiFi could be quicker. Thanks!
Manfred W. Jul 2018
The house was comfortable and clean and it was everything in what you need. The handling to get in was simple. A well sorted supermarket is close to the housing area. We had a great time.

A nice house for friends or family to live for holiday. It will take about one hour and half to drive to Yosemite valley. Everything inside of house is perfect.

Verry good place
Olga K. Sep 2017
Over all not too bad but house needs a lots of things to fix and add to feel more comfortable.
Anna J. Sep 2017
The house is very big and comfortably hosts 6 people. The kitchen and living area are also big and nicely furnished. The house itself is located close to Yosemite NP making it a good location for exploring both the Yosemite Valley and Tioga Pass Road.

My only issue would be that the price that was initially listed at website was not the final price we had to pay (there is an additional cleaning fee and additional parking fee). The prices are still reasonable and I would recommend this house. But I it is always an unpleasant surprise to learn about some additional fees after making a decision to book.

Nevertheless it's a very beautiful house and I recommend it!
Nicola B. Sep 2017
Fabulous lodge, plenty of room for 6 of us.
We loved sitting out on the deck in the evening.
Candace S. Aug 2017
Three adults were very comfortable in this spotless, spacious, quiet house. There was plenty of room for privacy, much appreciated airconditioning on a hot somewhat smoky day, and a very functional kitchen with plenty of work space. We spent all our time in Yosemite and didn't take advantage of the lake, but it seemed like a great place for kids, too.
Danae M. Aug 2017
The house is off the main street so it is very quiet. Cozy cabin feel but still "plugged in". Comfortable beds and furniture.
DLisa S. Jul 2017
Great house. Quite the drive up a mountain if you're not expecting that, but the views were beautiful. Office was very helpful. Cabin nice and clean. Just remember to bring your own hair dryer as that was the ONLY thing not provided!
Anand S. Jul 2017
Great Location property and facilities
Amy H. Jun 2017
The house is in the adorable gated community which has a pool, golf course, lake and a bunch of other things. The house itself was a little outdated decor wise and the WiFi was rather slow but otherwise it was amazing. Full of all the eminities you could want, comfy beds, nice showers and generally a huge house. It was also very peaceful and had a great front decking for star gazing. Yosemite is only about 30 mins away but there's plenty to actually do in the complex, I recommend the lake. Overall a really lovely stay, classic American holiday home.
Lena T. Jun 2017
Really enjoyed ourselves and the staff were great to work with logistics.
Ma Alexandria V. Jun 2017
We stayed for 3 days, location wise -- it was convenient. 20 miles to the Yosemite North gate. lots of places to buy food, eat and chill around. place was clean and kitchen was compete (super complete) -- and during our very first day -- we saw deers. :)
Norman R. Jun 2017
Very clean and Nice Accomodations! The beds were comfy, especially the Master bedroom mattress! The lake and beach were a plus! The staff and reservation process was good.

We loved our,stay

Great location in Groveland, walking distance from Pine Mountain Lake. The amenities include a pretty well stocked kitchen, and ample room. Internet, and cable worked. I could even get cell reception in some parts of the house (which could be a good or bad thing depending on what you want). Groveland is low enough to not have snow in December, but is close to snow with a short drive.
Brittany M. Sep 2016
The house was very clean when we arrived. The location is great in Pine Mountain, close to the lake and very easy to access. The house was well stocked in the kitchen and had everything you could need to cook meals. The bed in the master was also really comfortable which is a huge positive when traveling! We went to Yosemite a few times which is very doable to do in a day or even just an afternoon.
Matthew B. Aug 2016
We very much enjoyed our stay. Pretty much everything you need for a stay close to the entrance to Yosemite. Our favorite part was the proximity to a very nice beach on Pine Mountain Lake. We were traveling with a 6 and 9-year old and we visited the beach each day.
