The Lake Tahoe region brings with all her beauty an equal attraction to tourists and animals alike. Please be respectful to the animals, and do not be surprised if you happen to come across bears, raccoons, mice, chipmunks, and carpenter ants. You are in the woods! Also, please remember to place all trash in the metal bear-proof receptacles and make sure it’s properly secured.
We have brilliant bears here in Tahoe! Do not leave any food in cars or outside. Secure garbage in the Bear Box. Lock car doors. They are smart, be smarter!
