My family and I stayed in this incredible house for a week during our stay in Portland at the end of July. We loved the quiet street and the showy beauty of this old house. Rainbow prisms literally dance across the living room and dining room in the late afternoon while we were there. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. My kids enjoyed playing in the large backyard. It was a perfect fit for our family of four.

We stayed at the Oak Villa for my cousin’s wedding for four nights. We had a small cousins reunion there and it was the perfect house. The house is huge charming Victorian style home well stocked with plates, utensils, stemware, etc. The back deck is huge and meant for parties with a BBQ grill, lots of benches and lounge chairs and tables/chairs, hottub. I highly recommend staying here.

The house is a vintage home with large rooms, wood molding and old window with designs. Covered porch on 2 sides ensures you can be outside as well.

The home is beautiful with wonderful structural details. Kitchen is well stocked and backyard deck is huge. Both bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs.
Yard needs some maintenance. Dishwasher and bedroom air conditioner were not working.
Outside light over door with entry codes was out. That was fixed in a couple of days after calling the assistance number but if we had arrived after dark it would have been impossible to see the codes to get in the house.
Internet didn't work with codes given with check-in information. Called assistance number and a very helpful staff member familiar with the home called back right away. Internet had gone out and reset to the factory numbers. She helped me with those numbers and the internet worked. But since it was known that the check-in numbers wouldn't work, it would have made sense to inform me of the change before check-in. Management system failures with both issues.
Although the issues were resolved it's not what you want to deal with when you arrive at your vacation home.
All said we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old home.
Manager response:
Sharon, thank you for the review of your stay at Oak Villa.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay in this lovely home. We apologize there were issues at the home but we are glad the local team took care of the issues. We understand it is frustrating when things are not working upon arrival. We strive to have every home guest-ready for each stay. We look forward to hosting you in the future. Thank you.

This a beautiful old house, with lots of original leaded glass, wood etc. It would be great for small gatherings. We have rented a lot of homes over the years and this one has the best stocked kitchen we have ever stayed at! Everything you would need to make a large meal and then a spectacular dining room to serve it in. We will be back!

I live about 45 minutes away from Portland so this was a mini Valentine's weekend getaway. The house was immaculate and the decor was so interesting and tasteful. Loved the piano too! The woodwork and built-ins are beautiful and the home is just lovely. But the best part was the amazing porch, deck, and hot tub. The days were sunny so we got to enjoy this outdoor space for a bit each day even in February. Definitely planning on coming back this summer with my partner so we can have another romantic getaway (and bring our doggos).

Oak Villa and absolutely AMAZING and stunning. It is truly an oasis in the heart of the city. The house has all the original charm of a Victorian home, yet all the comforts of a modern rental. The beds are super comfortable, the claw foot tub is super relaxing for a soak, and the kitchen and HUGE diningroom have everything you need to entertain your group for causal, or fancy, dinners. The best part though is the backyard! This house is on an absolutely HUGE lot, with a deck that is massive, complete with a hottub. We felt super private and enjoyed meals and drinks on the back deck, yet the nostalgia of coffee on the (ALSO large AND covered) wrap around porch (SO, even if there is rain, you can still enjoy the outdoors, and stay dry while you eat drink and be merry!). I can't wait to go back. It is great for couples or groups. I would give it 10 stars if I could! And, given the difficulties of COVID, the size of the home, deck and porch make it very easy to social distance if needed!
THANK YOU OAK VILLA for a much needed break from all things COVID!
