Beautiful Oceanfront Home with a Private Hot Tub and Expansive Decks

This oceanfront treasure is the perfect getaway for anyone wanting to enjoy a more rural side of the Texas Gulf Coast and have a luxurious home to relax in.

This stilted, three-story home is bright and spacious, with the living spaces on the second and third floors (which are accessed by stairs). There are nautical accents throughout the home, and its open layout makes it great for a larger group of guests. The fully equipped kitchen features a large island with seating, along with upscale accents, stainless steel appliances, and gorgeous granite countertops. The main living area is open, expansive, and full of tasteful furnishings.

Two primary bedrooms are located on the third floor, as is the laundry room. One bedroom features an en suite bathroom; the other bathroom has a door to the second bedroom and another access point from the main living area. Step out onto the partially covered, third-story deck and enjoy sweeping ocean views. There are deck chairs, loungers, and rocking chairs to help you enjoy the salty sea air.

The second story features a mezzanine deck with a hot tub, porch swings, and an open bar area with a refrigerator and a chest freezer. The bunk room, with its large full bathroom, and the fourth bedroom are accessed from this deck. The ground level has an open seating and counter area, along with bench seating and a firepit right along the beach. This home is a lovely place to bring friends or family together.

Great for finding sea shells and sea glass.

Spent a week and what an experience! The top floor was perfectly furnished and fully functional for our entire family (parents, kids, grandkids). The large kitchen accommodated cooking for our crew without being cramped and we had nine people easily seated at the kitchen bar to eat! The mezzanine was great for watching the beach from the shaded deck swings and for the kids to sleep while the parents played on the top floor deck once the sun went down. The additional refrigerator and freezer on the mezzanine were very helpful too! The ground floor was fabulous going and coming from the beach with the outdoor sink, shower, and charcoal grill. Bring a flameproof lighter; the cooling beach breeze never stops (which is great in late July).

When spending a week on the beach there's nothing better than a Salty Dog!

I loved this cabin. The location is great and the lots on either side are vacant so feels somewhat isolated. The cabin itself is well equipped and beautifully decorated.

This house was great for our group of 4 adults and 5 kids! The water is shallow for so long, our 7 year old had no problem playing in the waves while the rest of us were boogie boarding. The waves were great for boogie boarding here, btw! We bought a bunch of boards at the Big Store and just left them for the next guests to use.

Layout: take note that the bunk room has a separate entry from the main house, and they are not connected. This could be an issue with little kids possibly, but there is a bathroom attached to the bunk room, so that’s nice. The other small bedroom is completely detached from the rest, also with its own keyed entry, but no bathroom. It’s a super cute bedroom, but because it is kind of separate, no one used it in our group.

Appliances: I couldn’t get a detailed list of appliances from Vacasa, so I’ll post one here.
Coffee pot (drip)
Margarita maker
Waffle iron
Air fryer
Can opener
Oil fryer
Ice maker
2 full fridges
(There we’re also a bunch of nice big Vacasa beach towels provided. Not an appliance, but worth noting!)

Beach: with no neighbors we had a BIG chunk of the beach to ourselves, even on the weekend. This was a huge plus for us. It was like our own private beach! This feature was probably the best part!

Hot tub: When we arrived the hot tub was struggling to hold temp when the cover was off. Also the water was a little green. On day 2 the kids were complaining about the smell. I texted Vacasa and within 2 hours someone was there to get it all fixed up. They added chemicals and possibly replaced the filters. The water cleared right up and the tub worked great. The responsiveness was excellent!

We really enjoyed spending time on the top deck every day. The furniture was all so comfy that there were quite a few deck naps being taken! We used the binoculars and spotting scope to watch fishing boats, container ships, oil rigs, and even dolphins!

We were surprised when a guy showed up with keys on the property one day. It turns out the previous owner still keeps his golf cart in the garage, as part of his deal when selling the home. He was very kind and informative. It just surprised us a bit.

There is some sort of sound system tied to the direct tv receiver. It kept turning on and playing music on the deck. We figured out how to shut it off, but couldn’t figure out how to actually use it.

The plug-in globe lights around the deck never worked for us. The “stadium lights” were awesome for lighting up the beach!

There was firewood provided at the fire pit! We didn’t end up having any fires, but it was nice to not have to try to check a bundle of firewood at the airport!

Overall this was a great experience and we highly recommend it!

We hung out on the top deck of this house our entire stay except when we played corn hole on the second floor deck. With no houses on either side, it feels like you are in a private paradise. The kitchen has everything you need to feed any size group. We brought a side-by-side with us that everyone had fun driving on the beach.
