Tar Landing is the perfect beach get away! We love being close to the state park. The house is so spacious.

The property is amazing! Tar Landing Villas is a gated community and very private. I love the easy beach access and the multiple level balconies offered at 603 Tar landing. The 3 bathrooms and kitchen have been recently remodeled and upgraded. The beds sleep amazing and the view from 2nd and 3rd floor balconies are amazing, especially the top floor balcony at sunset! Tar Landing 603 has a lot going for it. Spacious rooms, fabulous views, the ability to walk off your deck onto a boardwalk leading to the ocean. Features a well-equipped kitchen. There`s even an assortment of beach hats. Among the things I particularly liked was the location adjacent to Fort Macon State Park and the wonderful night skies (not a lot of ambient light). It was also remarkably quiet. We had people on both sides and never heard anything from either unit. That said anyone renting this unit should be aware that there is a steep staircase (19 steps) from the garage to the main living area. and then a more manageable staircase from the main floor to the upper bedrooms. If you have knee or hip problems this unit might not be a good choice. And there were some minor things like dated fixtures in the master bath, etc. Overall, however, this is a wonderful place to stay IF you can handle the steps. I would gladly come back.
