This room is a coveted corner retreat with a king bed, a full bath, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, private entrance, and lanai. Guests enjoy all the amenities offered at Hanalei Bay Resort.

Hanalei Bay Resort is one of the premier properties on Kauai. Nestled into the beautiful coastline of Kauai’s north shore and built on 22 acres, this resort abounds with lush tropical foliage, amazing views of lush green mountain ranges, waterfalls, tropical sunsets, and the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Overlooking Hanalei Bay, with views of Mount Makana (Bali Hai), and steps from a white sand beach located below the resort are just some of the things that guests will enjoy while staying at Hanalei Bay Resort. This is a tropical property that reflects all that is Kauai!

Originally built as a tennis resort, it still features some of the finest tennis facilities on the island. Guests enjoy access to eight tennis courts, a Tennis Pro Shop, a front desk, bell and shuttle service, and the Activity Hut where beach gear can be rented easily. The resort also features a lagoon-style saltwater pool designed for family fun, as well as a quieter, smaller pool for those looking for something a little more relaxing! Hanalei Bay Resort is also in close proximity to many North Shore attractions, shopping, and two of Kauai’s best golf courses.

We loved our short stay here. The view is absolutely amazing. Being able to have coffee on the lanai and watch the surfers was relaxing. We were thankful for the small refrigerator and coffee maker. The property is beautiful and the staff was so kind and helpful.

The view was amazing! The room was a nice size. It is a lock off, and the door to the adjoining unit is not sound proof at all. We had an issue with the shower and they Vacasa responded quickly. It comes with a mini fridge, which could use to be replaced, but is usable. It also comes with a coffee pot. A microwave would be a great addition. The a/c works great. The resort is very nice, with a wonderful pool. It is very hilly, but the staff is willing to give you rides in golf carts all over the resort. Great beach below. If you take the public access back up, from the beach you end up right next to Hidden Beach.

The most breathtaking view and location! Waking up to the ocean waves and birds singing every morning! Loved the room and resort staff and resort pool and amenities. We’ll definitely be back!

Hanalei Bay Resort is fabulous. It’s main draws are lush, well-cared-for grounds, lagoon-style pool with waterfalls, and access to an absolutely fantastic stretch of beach. Unit 9206 has one of the best views on the whole property – don’t forget your binoculars for watching the surfers on Hanalei Bay! The room is comfortable and nicely decorated. It is as pictured, except there is no longer the same table and chairs on the lanai. Instead, there is a small bar level table with two tall chairs (no cushions). The king bed is comfortable with lots of pillows and the air-conditioning unit works great. As described, there is a mini fridge (the sizable waist-high kind) and a very small coffee maker. There were plates and bowls for two, two wine glasses, one mug, knives, forks and spoons but no juice glasses – pretty minimal but to be expected since there’s no kitchen or microwave. There’s no table (or desk) in the unit, except the tall one I mentioned on the lanai. So if you’re planning to work remotely or eat in, plan to do so al fresco. I’d definitely book the room again, but there are a few things to keep in mind. This room is connected to a larger condo that can be rented together or separately. The adjoining door is paper thin. I could hear every single word my neighbors were saying, and they were not talking very loudly. Fortunately, none of us were in our rooms very much. And speaking of noise, there is a massive property next door (formerly the St. Regis) that is closed right now and undergoing major renovations. There is construction noise – fairly minimal from the room but louder down on the beach. Even so, the beach is truly idyllic. Hanalei Bay Resort pretty much has exclusive access to the beach right now (called Puu Poa). The path from the resort to the beach is steep but paved – saw several families with strollers making the trek. There’s a phone at beach level for you to call for one of the resort golf carts to come take you back up the hill. There’s lots of great shade trees and, at least when I was there, it is was calm and shallow. Snorkeling was great – even saw a turtle hanging out. I had intentions of exploring other beaches, but honestly this one was so perfect, I went to it every day. Once the adjoining resort reopens (scheduled for Nov. 2022), I imagine the beach will be more crowded. Thanks to HBR #9206 for a great getaway. I’ll be back!
