Waterfront home with amazing sound and mountain views - AC, kayaks, washer/dryer

Located on the Puget Sound shore, this Kingston vacation rental presents unforgettable views of the water. Launch one of the provided kayaks for a dreamy day on the water! This home is on one of the few sandy beaches on Puget Sound, with Olympic Beach just nine miles away, and you can walk for miles on it at low tide. There are no buildings north of the house. At high tide, you will feel as though you are on a boat. Spread across two floors, the light and bright interior provide all the comforts of home. Relax and restore in one of two bedrooms with a bank of windows looking out over the beach and Puget Sound - both located upstairs. AC and a private washer/dryer add convenience to your stay.

Whip up delicious dishes in the sparkling full kitchen, with stainless steel appliances and generous stone counter space. Then cozy up for game nights in the comfy living area, where a sound-view wall of windows provides gorgeous scenery. On the waterfront deck, kick back in an Adirondack chair while dinner sizzles on the grill. Then dine alfresco with an incredible vista. The home looks out onto the shipping lanes so you can witness Puget Sound commerce with freighters, aircraft carriers, and private and commercial boats. On clear days, you can see the snow-covered peaks of the Cascade Range, and in the mornings - the beautiful sunrise. Mt. Baker is clearly visible to the northeast. The resident bald eagles talk and put on a show, the seals and river otters entertain in the water and the great blue herons fish in the shallows. You’ll see an occasional deer with fawns on the beach and on the road.

The maritime town of Kingston is two miles away, with multiple eateries. The Point Casino is 10 minutes away. Bainbridge Island, Port Townsend, Poulsbo, and Silverdale are nearby.

The location was gorgeous, and the cabin was very nicely appointed.

We met the owner's brother, a very nice man.

As the property details state, just be aware that there are some steep stairs (114 steps) from the parking area to the cabin. (Don't forget your keys when you leave your car - like I did 😳.)

If you love a peaceful water view, Moon Cabin is what you're seeking. We thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the gentle sounds of the waves and seeing wildlife right below our windows including otters and porpoises. When the tide was out, we also enjoyed walking along the expansive beach.

The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. It's obvious that a lot of care was taken in choosing materials for this cabin. There are throw blankets thoughtfully provided so that you can snuggle on the expansive patio as the sun goes down.

We were glad that we followed the suggestion for renting an all wheel drive vehicle as the driveway to the parking area is very steep. The steps down to the property are also steep and there are a lot of them. That said, they're totally worth the treck.

Believe the pictures and description. The view and location is very unique. The moon house sits on an isolated beach with a resident eagle perched on a near by tree. The place is brand new and very clean. The only word of caution is the approach requires several steep stairs that could be a challenge to some, but is worth the effort.
