Recent Alaska guest reviews

This property is quite unique. I've never had a hot tub in my living room before but I certainly made use of it everyday after a few hourd snowboarding at Alyeska. It was truly just what I needed. Some guests have mentioned a mold/chlorine smell in the room. I did not smell anything at all and the room was perfectly clean when we arrived. The space heater/fake fireplace was also quite nice and very much made for cozy vibes once the sun set. This property is ~1 block away from the Alyeska ski resort and very convenient. You can certainly walk if you'd like to, or drive and park. Its also a convenient location if you plan to explore further down the kenai penninsula, Whittier is right there, and Coopers Landing is only 1 hour away. I'd highly recommend this location if you ski, are traveling in the winter, or if you just like the photos. What you see is very much what you get, there are no nasty surprises hiding in this listing. Would highly recommend it.

Nice and close to the lifts!

We stayed here with my three kids, and honestly, this cabin made our whole trip. The house is so much more spacious than we expected, which was amazing because everyone could spread out without being on top of each other. The kids immediately claimed the loft and bunk room, and they thought it was the coolest setup ever. The setting is what really made it special for us — waking up surrounded by those towering spruce trees and mountain views felt unreal. We had slow mornings with coffee on the covered deck while the kids explored outside or flipped through the board games. In the evenings, we all gathered around the fire pit, and it became this sweet family ritual that the kids are still talking about. Being so close to Alyeska was a huge perk. We could get the kids to and from the resort in minutes, and the nearby trails were perfect for family hikes. Virgin Creek Falls was a favorite — short enough for the kids but still absolutely beautiful. After our adventures, the sauna was my personal heaven while the kids curled up by the wood stove. Inside, the place just felt homey and easy. Plenty of space, comfy beds, great kitchen, and the little touches like books, games, and a smart TV made downtime relaxing for all of us. It’s the kind of house that makes you feel like you’ve lived there for years, in the best way. My kids were genuinely sad to leave, and I completely get it — it was one of the coziest, most memorable places we’ve stayed. We’d come back in a heartbeat.
