Renowned for its film festival and voted the #1 small town to visit in America, Telluride's Victorian charm and adventurous spirit attract more and more visitors every year. Telluride vacation rentals are in high demand, providing homeowners a prime opportunity to capitalize on their investments. However, renting a vacation home in Telluride is complex.
The town of Telluride stringently regulates short-term rentals in residential zones. Homeowners may rent their properties on a short-term basis only three times per year and less than 29 cumulative days. This rule applies to properties in the Residential, Historic Residential, Hillside Transitional, Hillside Developing One, Hillside Developing Two, West Hillside, and Medium Density Residential districts. Vacation rentals in these districts must retain an on-call contact who can work with guests and the city in the event of a problem, among other requirements. Residential zoning rules do not apply to short-term rentals in the accommodations or commercial zone districts, so check the Telluride zoning map to see where you land and to learn more about your home's potential as a vacation rental. Additionally, all short-term rental owners will need to obtain a business license ($165 + $22 per sleeping room) and collect a total 12.65 percent tax when guests book.
Clearly, it pays to have vacation rental experts on your side. Work with a Telluride vacation property manager whose seasoned local staff care for your home and who delivers exceptional returns through international digital marketing support. Our housekeeping, maintenance and operations teams are all local employees, not contractors, so they're on the ground and available to help 24/7. Our highly trained housekeepers meet exhaustive standards and get to know your home like their own. Have questions? Call your local operations manager for answers; they're available to help anytime.
Making the most of your vacation rental requires surpassing exposure online, for rates that earn you the best possible returns. With us, you won't have to lift a finger to achieve international exposure on sites like Airbnb, VRBO, Google, and more. We'll even professionally photograph your home, create a 3D tour, and write a description of your home at no additional cost to you. Like an airline or a car share, your nightly rate automatically adjusts to bring you lucrative income during events like the Telluride Jazz and Film Festivals.
As a full-service Telluride vacation rental company, we're here to make renting both profitable and worry free. Want to know how much more you could be making? Reach out to us, and we'll share a customized income projection and talk about successfully renting in Telluride.
