Emerald Island Resort - Kissimmee vacation rentals with pools

Home was in a nice gated community. There is a $20 resort gate pass fee per vehicle that wasn’t disclosed, just an FYI. Home was just as pictured/described. There was plenty of room for our family of 12. Plenty of space around pool area. TVs weren’t working in twin rooms, but wasn’t an issue for us as the kids don’t care to watch it anyway. Close to many restaurants, grocery, and shopping. Within 15 min. from Disney World as well. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely look to book there again if in the area.

We were a family of 12 on a Disney/Universal vacation: 9 adults and 3 children. The configuration of rooms was perfect for our group - there was even room for more kids. We especially liked the common area on the second floor because it served as a place for the kids to hang out that was close to the parents. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of bathrooms and all were clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. The kitchen was big and had lots of pantry space for our food. We didn't cook there much so we didn't need a lot of kitchen equipment but it seemed like there was a lot available. The pool was nice. It was heated per our request. We enjoyed the spa and were thankful for the child barrier. One nice addition would be some pool toys. The game room was fun and our younger kids especially enjoyed it. We stopped at the clubhouse when we checked in and the man at the desk was very friendly. There are mini golf courses, a pool, and snack bar. They looked nice but we didn't have time to take advantage of them. The house is close (10-15 minutes) to a lot of restaurants, retail, and grocery stores. And it's close to the main highway (192) that takes you to all things Disney. We drove 20-30 minutes to the parks each day (which included some traffic) so getting to and from was easy. Universal is farther, around 40 minutes. I only had email interactions with Vacasa but they were all professional, responsive, and helpful. Two minor complaints: The driveway is said to hold 4 cars which technically it does, but it's a tight fit. And there was a problem with an animal getting into the garbage at the houses around the cul-de-sac during the night. A better system for keeping the animals out (besides the elastic cords) would be helpful. Picking up the garbage more frequently would help, too. Overall this house was perfect for our use and I would highly recommend it!
