When vacationers come to Key West to dive the shipwrecks, visit the Key West Butterfly Conservancy, or party at sunset in Mallory Square, they want to do it in the style of Hemingway and stay in Key West vacation homes.
As a year-round tourist destination, renting your Key West vacation home while you're not around can bring in excellent returns and keep your home ready for your next visit. But because Key West is so popular, there are a few rules to abide by before you put your home on the market. The City of Key West no longer issues transient rental licenses (less than 29 days), and the only way to acquire one is to purchase a property that received the license before 2011. The city strictly enforces vacation rental rules, and operating without a license could mean thousands of dollars in fines. If you own a licensed short-term rental or are considering purchasing one, you'll need two business tax receipts: one from Monroe County ($30) and one from the City of Key West ($20). Guests staying at your home will pay a 7.5 percent state sales tax and 5 percent tourism tax.
We're here to make operating your Key West vacation rental easy. Local employees are the core of our business, and we pride ourselves on building a responsive team that's ready for anything, 24/7. They'll handle housekeeping, maintenance, and operations support so you can feel confident that anytime you visit, your home will be ready for you.
Just as the community of Key West is important to us, so too is your home's success. We invest in you by listing your professionally-photographed home on top travel sites like Booking.com, Airbnb, and Expedia for no additional charge. Our dynamic pricing technology automatically adjusts your home's rates for demand, local events, and seasonal changes, earning you more and keeping your home occupied, longer.
