First, some of the older reviews that reference dated furniture are now dated as well because the owner has clearly updated stuff. The couches looked brand new. The Owner has clearly updated this during 2025.
The property and the house are laid out very well. I absolutely love the wide open layout of the downstairs. Its a perfect place to spend time with the group and enjoy time with your friends and family. Spacious new coach, pool table picnic table, and if you are pushing the actual limits on the capacity then additional folding tables and chairs. The rooms upstairs are very spacious. The 2 rooms with King bed are Master sized. The true Master is the Only one of those has its own bathroom. The bunk bed room has limited space due have 2 bunk beds, but I think that was ideal.
The kitchen is well stocked with plates, utensils, pots & pans.
The downstair shower is a treat. Has ceiling mounted Large Rain head. Wall mounted traditional shower head. These 2 run from the same controller, so you can do all of 1 or the other or Split and get dual source. There is another controller that drives a spray nozzle.
Outdoors, it has a wonderful view. The outside is set up to encourage you to be out there. The nice wide rear deck and there are a ton of chairs. You can gather around the fire table, you can set them flat along the back of the house and enjoy sunrise/sunset, or move them to the fire pit on the side of the house. There is also a ton of firewood available. They even have a wagon and a log roller. You can use either to bring a bunch of logs over from the stack to be near the pit.
The location is also perfect. You have a nice mountain style view. You don't have a zig zagging 30 min drive up to the top of a large mountain. You are barely appox 6 miles from Main Street in Hendersonville and 16 miles from Asheville Outlets. Easy access to I26 and is a perfect hub to visit the entire area.
The last bit of the climb on the drive way is quite steep. I have a Honda Pilot and my tires spun a little in the climb, but never felt like it wasn't going to make it. I ran 3/4 of the day and everything was super wet and I still had no issues getting up. Perhaps some cars could struggle, but SUVs should have not issues wet or dry. If it snows, that could be different. I think you could probably get up in a 2wd SUV, but depending on how much ground cover or ice, I think 4x4 would be better or you might have to walk up that last bit.
