The property is fantastic, with spectacular views and a setting that looks exactly like the listing photos. The Wi-Fi was fast, and the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, and cooking supplies. Both the adults and kids had a wonderful time and made some great memories during our two-night stay. The pricing was very reasonable for Labor Day weekend, and we have already recommended this property to our friends.
That said, there are a few things future guests should be aware of. The property is located at the top of a very steep hill, and an AWD vehicle is highly recommended. Trash also needs to be taken to the large dumpsters near the resort entrance at the bottom of the hill.
Unfortunately, I specifically called the management team before making my reservation to ask about the road conditions and whether an AWD vehicle was necessary. I was told that all roads were paved and that an AWD vehicle was not needed. The representative also told me that the local team would contact me to confirm the road conditions, but no one ever followed up other than the automated messages. In reality, the last half mile to the property is gravel and unpaved. After a storm, my 2WD car became stuck on the steep slope at the property while we were trying to leave. The management team was unable to provide assistance and instead directed us to contact a local towing service. Fortunately, we were eventually able to get the car out, but I believe guests should be given more accurate and complete information about the road conditions and vehicle requirements in advance.
The property could also improve on a few basic supplies. Kitchen paper towels, trash bags, and toilet paper were provided rather sparingly. In addition, the rugs on the floors were quite slippery, so we ended up removing them during our stay for safety.
Overall, I am still giving the property 5 stars for the home itself because we enjoyed our stay despite a few hiccups. There's room for improvements to make it perfect.
