Where is The Dorian?
This sparkling, contemporary building is located on Portland's east side in Buckman, a neighborhood known for its unbeatable convenience and eclectic style. Nestled between East Burnside and Southeast Ankeny Streets, The Dorian offers easy access to a bicycle corridor, the MAX (half a mile north), the streetcar (half a mile west), and the 6, 12, 19, 20, and 70 bus routes. It also sits just one mile across the Burnside Bridge and the Willamette River from the bustling center of downtown Portland.
Things to Do Near The Dorian
Although the polished concrete floors, Carrara marble countertops, and sun-drenched living spaces will tempt you to stay indoors, our Dorian vacation homes are mere steps from some of the best sights in Portland.
Begin each morning with a jog along the river on the Eastbank Esplanade, crossing the Burnside Bridge to peruse the Portland Saturday Market or get lost in the stacks at Powell's City of Books. Head east along Burnside to catch a movie at Laurelhurst Theater, enjoy a picnic at Laurelhurst Park, or indulge in a bit of crate-digging at the legendary Music Millennium.
Getting hungry? You'll be in the midst of some of the best eateries in the city, from the inventive fine dining at Le Pigeon to the perfect Thai chicken and rice at Nong's Khao Man Gai. Sit down for a decadent Southern brunch at Screen Door, a local beer (or several) at Culmination Brewing, and a live evening show at Doug Fir Lounge or the high-school-turned-performance-venue Revolution Hall.
Come fall in love with Portland for the first time or the millionth - find a home away from home in our Dorian vacation rentals!
