I stayed at Mara Laguna with my mom and daughter for two weeks. The grounds were always clean and security was always visible and friendly. There was some construction happening in the condo below us, but it was not disruptive as they would wrap up by the afternoon and most days we were out and about. Seeing iguanas walk freely was a highlight for myself and my daughter. Another incredible highlight was having unobstructed sunset views over the lagoon every night. I didn't want to leave! And I cannot wait to go back. I would absolutely stay at Mara Laguna again.

The unit was great. It had all three of us could possibly need. We loved the concierge. We're a group of guys with a dark sense of humor that not everyone understands, but she not only understood it, she also joked hard with us. Gotta appreciate someone like that. The staff also accommodated our last minute departure change due to our missed flight.

Such a cute place, backed up to the lagoon side so it's nice and quiet. Well-kept and clean with all the creature comforts you'd need from fluffy towels and everything you'd need in a kitchen. Can't wait to stay here again.

Situated about a mile north of central San Pedro, Mara Laguna is very easily accessible. Fly into San Pedro Airport and take a one-and-a-half mile drive north on Laguna Drive to reach the resort, or fly into Belize City 36 miles southwest and get on a water taxi or motorboat ferry to access Ambergris Caye--a trip which usually takes about 75 minutes.
