The maximum occupancy for events varies by home. Some homes allow you to exceed the regular sleeping occupancy for the duration of your event. If you plan to host more guests than the home’s maximum sleeping occupancy, you are required to contact us for authorization prior to the event.
We do not require an additional security deposit for special events. We do charge a special event fee, which varies based on the home you book and the size of your event. This fee is nonrefundable.
We do not charge an additional cleaning fee for event bookings, as long as all trash and decorations are removed from the home at check-out.
Most of our vacation rentals do not include event seating. If a venue offers folding chairs for rent, that information is noted in the home description. Contact us if you need event rental recommendations—we are happy to direct you to local options.
Alcohol is permitted, but we ask that you drink responsibly and respect all local liquor laws regarding the legal drinking age.
For any event over the home’s maximum sleeping occupancy where alcohol will be served, we require you to secure a special event insurance policy prior to your event date with $1 million liability coverage.
Absolutely—we want your event to be festive! We ask only that you do not nail or tape anything to the walls, and be careful not to place decorations near vents or other heat sources.
All decorations must be completely removed from the home at check-out. An extra cleaning fee of $150 will be added to your reservation if decorations are left behind. (A quick internet search for "waste disposal" in the area of your event will give you an idea of where to take any leftover decorations.)
