Napa Valley is considered the wine capital of the U.S., but the California Wine Country region stretches across the Napa Valley and along a small portion of the northern coast, about 50 miles north of San Francisco. Each town has something different to offer, including Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Sea Ranch, Santa Rosa, Bodega Bay, and more.

The most popular times are spring (April–June) and fall harvest season (September–October), when the vineyards are in bloom or full of color. But winter and summer offer quieter, more affordable stays and plenty of wine to go around.

Many of our wine country vacation homes offer private hot tubs, pools, or both. You can filter your search by amenity to find exactly what you’re looking for.

Yes—Florida does have wine, though it’s quite different from traditional wine regions. Tropical and unexpected, Florida’s wineries serve up Muscadine and fruit wines in sunny, scenic settings—from vineyard tours to beachside tastings.
