We enjoyed about a week in this super private home on Deer Island! The home was clean and neat and well equipped. Getting back and forth from the island was a breeze thanks to the owners pontoon boat. It was fun to cruise around the lake and for fishing. The water for bathing and washing dishes is from the lake and this seems unwise and should be disclosed in the rental information. Although the second bathroom is as beautiful as the rest of the house it is only accessible from outside the home. Our experience with the rental management company was very disappointing when we first attempted to get information about the owners boat rental and again at the time of check-in. Despite these issues, the home AND the owner rate five stars!!!

We really enjoyed the peacefulness of this lake house. It’s just the right place to unplug from this world. We were there mid September and it was so quiet. Couple things guests will need to know before booking. You need a boat to access the house. We rented the owners boat and it worked out great for us. He was a great guy. There are many steps to climb to reach the lake house. The water in the pipes is lake water, but they did provide fresh drinking water. The beds were really comfortable. There is no internet or WiFi, but our Verizon phones had great service. There is no cable or satellite TVs, but there is a TV with DVD player. They have a few movies to watch. There is no dishwasher. We did paper plates and cups.

Totally unique experience being on this island. The owner is super helpful and was available to make sure all went smoothly. We played on the water, caught some big bass, and explored the area. There is so much to do and the cabin is well equipped. My kids absolutely loved it!

This was such a great cabin on a quiet lake! Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer! Most of the neighbors are only there on the weekend so our stay during the week was so peaceful and relaxing! We enjoyed using the paddle board and boating around the lake as well as the views from the deck.
