Nos hospedamos con amigos y pasamos genial! La casa es súper cómoda, en excelentes condiciones y la piscina del condominio complementa perfecto con la pequeña de la casa! Volveremos
The house was perfect. All was advertised.
Upstairs layout is very nice and open with great views of the ocean. Comfortable beds and easily can accommodate up to 10 people.
Our group of five women had a wonderful time staying at Villa Las Olas. We wished we could have stayed longer! The condo is very comfortable and well equipped, as well as safe and secure. All around it was a great choice for us and a good value compared to other properties in the region. Among ehe best assets of this condo is the membership in the Coco Beach Club. We arrived in the Playa del Coco area in early afternoon and headed straight to this club to enjoy a wonderful and ever so peaceful lunch at the club’s Santorini Greek Restaurant overlooking the club’s beautiful pool. It was a great way to pass the afternoon while awaiting check in to the condo at 4 pm. We returned tot he club on our last morning, as well, for breakfast and poolside relaxation before heading to the airport. In between we also visited the club’s beachside facility at Playa Ocotal. It features a smaller pool and a nice palapa where the staff serves drinks and snacks or lunch. Access to these two club facilities were a wonderful perk of the condo, in addition to the plunge pool on the balcony and the wade in pool shared by the building. All around it was a great experience!
Nice unit but could use some updating
Our group of 11 had plenty of room, the bedrooms were spacious enough, there was a comfortable balcony, and I LOVED having a washer/dryer on site. Property owners were very responsive to the minor issues we had. The only inconvenience for a few in our group was that they had to stand outside the gate to smoke, but that's a sacrifice you make (coming from a former smoker). It was nice being near town but not IN town. We rented a golf cart and went into Playas del Coco a few days. Father Roosters was the best restaurant. We ate there every day to plan our next day and the food and staff was SUPERB! Don't forget to check out the Beach Club for breakfast, it was really convenient and the owners were amazing. Ask for his homemade Tamarindo if you like a little spice in your life. Overall great experience.
Roomy and comfy! Loved our stay there and would recommend this villa to anyone!
Fair price ($181 / night) for this property. Looking at another Condo listing at this property and its finishes in comparison. In general the condo was clean.
The supply of liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathrooms lasted our entire stay.
An ABSOLUTE MUST is a full day at Diamante Adventure Park. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Diamante is immediately adjacent to the Rui Hotels and only 1.5 miles over the hill/mountain from this condo property; a 25-minute ($100 cab ride both ways) by road. Certainly could kayak over there too. Diamante has a World's Top 5 Rated zip line (Superman) and is SO MUCH FUN!!! My 77-year old Dad did it!! The Diamante Animal Sanctuary is absolutely ASTOUNDING! Jim, Gina, Julian, and Julian's wife (sorry we did not meet) are the owners of Diamante and they are ABSOLUTELY fabulous people as well as their staff.
The use of the Coco Bay Estates Club was great for working out, swimming and tennis. The use of the Club at Playa Ocotal for swimming and coffees and breakfast or lunch was great. FABULOUS coffee and coffee drinks and super friendly owners.
We were a family of 7 and vacationed in June. I would definitely recommend Playa Ocotal over Playa Del Coco. Cleaner beach and water! We were the only persons at the property - 5 condos. We had 3-year olds to 78-year old on a 10-day family vacation. The deck was good for relaxing and looking out at the bay. For my preference, I would suggest the condo get another couch in the living area. Also, suggest getting a WiFi extender for the downstairs; concrete building structure. WiFi upstairs was pretty good. We only turned on the TV 1 time, so can't comment on channels.
The property pool has a beach entry, so it was perfect for our 3-year olds and 15-year olds. Also, go to the Playa Ocotal Beach Club for a really nice pool; no fitness facility or tennis courts. Have to go to Del Coco for the Coco Bay Beach Club for tennis and fitness facility).
The beach is a short walk and is roughly a 1/4 to 3/8 of a mile wide. Fabulous pools form in the lava as the tide goes out. The snorkling is good! Go to the right a 1/4 mile to see another large beach (1/8 mile). The first day of our vacation we were the only ones on the beach. Father Rooster is a good time and good food. We only ate out three times. We did our grocery shopping at the AutoMarkto (spelling?) - really nice grocery store .. similar to USA. Note the cost for groceries is the same or more as US. The price for a cab ride was $6 for a 1-way trip.
The cab (van for 8-people) was $95 each way from/to the Liberia airport and the ride was 30-minutes.
All 5 beds were very firm; too firm for my preference. Comfortable pillows. The unit had the utensils and pots/pans needed for in-home cooking. You'll need to bring or buy your own seasonings and such.
There is a Property immediately behind this property that has very loud music on Friday and Saturday night from about 7pm until 8:45 or 9pm; since it didn't go late it really did not bother us. Otherwise very quiet. Really enjoyed the sound of the waterfall from the pool below off the deck. Also the view of the bay is off the deck, living room and kitchen is better than in the listing.
One of our first nights there was a wedding at the property behind us and they paid for a MASSIVE fireworks show that would rival USA 4th of July events. The deck was the perfect viewing spot in between 2 palm trees as the fireworks were set off from the beach. Congrats to the newly weds and THANK YOU for the show!
This is a calm and rural area. 5-minute cab ride to get to Del Coco if you want a bit more excitement.
If you're a swimmer, then get out in the ocean or try to meet up with local triathletes (Jim and Gina Correll).
The people of Costa Rica were friendly. Spanish is their language, but many are able to speak at least a bit of English.
Weather of course if variable. For us we had some seriously heavy evening rains, but really did not affect any of our plans. It's hot and humid that time of year and there was very little breeze .. even on the beach. Regarding the Playa Del Coco beach for 3.5 year olds with life jackets .. they can wade to their calves/knees. Fine for older kids and adults .. not rough surf!
Muy limpio, con todos los utencilios de cocina y limpieza necesarios, atención oportuna a imprevistos. Muy espacioso.
We highly recommend this place if you are looking for a relax vacation. The condo is very well keep and so are the amenities. The local team was very helpful and ready to help. The club house food was amazing, magazine worthy, and they were very friendly. I highly recommend a car, as everything was a bit far. We love it
Great proximity to the beach. Lovely veranda. We spent every morning in the rocking chairs with coffee enjoying the view. We snorkeled every day. We all look forward to returning.
