The home is situated nicely. The fenced area for dogs is great to have, though a little small. We liked that it was in a very quiet area. Everything was clean when we arrived, though we did notice small, uncleaned areas like around the faucets and slider on the tub in the bathroom. The fireplace inside is phenomenal, especially if you are there in the colder months. The mattresses are very, very firm. The pillows may as well not be there for how flat they are and the quilts covering the beds are very thin. If you sleep cold or need a supportive pillow, come prepared. One of the beds is pretty high off of the ground and the others are futon height and easier to get in and out of. We did not use any other amenities so cannot speak to them. The wi-fi worked great as did the television in the living room. All in all, it was a great setup, and we would come back to this place.

Really liked the privacy of this cottage and perfect size for a couple or small family. Location was great. We always check the beds at any hotel/ rental- when checking the bed we found unknown stains on the comforter that looked really gross. Each layer of sheets also had weird staining so we did not feel comfortable using blankets and sheets provided. Pulled the bed out from the wall to inspect for bedbugs (didn’t see any) but did notice mold growing on the mattress cover. Overall we did not feel comfortable sleeping on the bed, opted to use the pull out bed on the couch and thankfully brought pillows and some blankets from home. We only needed to stay one night but if we had multiple days booked, it would have been rather uncomfortable. Also wanted to note that multiple windows in the cottage were unlocked when we checked in- could have been a simple mistake but definitely a safety red flag for us.

Great stay for a mini vacay. Loved that the bedrooms are on seperate sides of the house. Hot tub was a relaxing treat. Spacious kitchen area. Abundance of towels was appreciated. Only bad partwasthe bbq grill was in bad shape and should be replaced asap. Overall great stay.

Things to do in Ocean Park

The most obvious attraction in Ocean Park is the beach - all 28 miles of it! Soft sands, crashing pacific waves, and a nice summer breeze all make for a fantastic day out, whether you're sunbathing with your friends, splashing around with the kids, or enjoying a long, romantic walk with that special someone. If you arrive at the right time of year, you can take advantage of Ocean Park's unique location: as one of the five areas in coastal Washington designated for clamming, you can bring a bucket and some shovels and catch all the delicious clams you can eat!

Ocean Park may be a small town with less than 1,600 residents - but that doesn't mean there's nothing to do! The downtown area is full of small shops and charming restaurants - in the case of Adelaide's Books and Coffee, it's both. Adelaide's is actually based out of the former Taylor Hotel building, a historic landmark built in 1887. When you're not taking in a good book and some coffee along with some history, you can always head to the docks and watch the boats bob in the water.

Golf and outdoor activities near Ocean Park

There are plenty of things to see and do just a short drive from Ocean Park. Golfers will love taking in some fresh ocean air with their game at Surfside Golf - just three miles north, the course boasts a great value for nine holes. Leadbetter State Park is six miles farther north, and offers beautiful surroundings for hiking, boating, fishing, and more! 15 miles south of town is Cape Disappointment State Park - the name of which says nothing about the fun hiking and camping that awaits! Ocean Park even has access to Long Island, with only 36 miles between you and the gorgeous forests of the National Wildlife Refuge.

Day trips from Ocean Park

In addition to nearby coastal towns like Seaview, Oysterville, and Long Beach, Ocean Park is surprisingly close to the two biggest cities of the region. The metropolis of Seattle is only 181 miles away, or about three and a half hours by car, with its beautiful skylines, incredible restaurants, and a wide variety of museums, galleries, and attractions. Beautiful Portland, 122 miles to the south, is even closer, with its unique low-key atmosphere, bustling art scene, and eclectic sights like food cart pods and the world-famous Powell's City of Books.

Whether you're looking for a quiet romantic getaway, a family trip to the beach, or to explore some charming small-town restaurants and shops with your friends, you're sure to have a great time in Ocean Park. With miles of gorgeous beachfront to explore, several nearby parks, and plenty of sights to see, this is one coastal Washington town you don't want to miss.
