The house is a perfect getaway with tons of amenities. There are plenty of beds as we had multiple families staying. We loved the renovated kitchen, especially the large table with additional space outside. The deck has fireplace for nighttime and a large grill. We spent tons of time at the dock swimming and playing. There is a screened in porch, which was our lunch spot almost every day. Lastly, the views of the lake and sunset are AMAZING!
What an amazing house and property! My children and I stayed over the weekend and had an unforgettable time! The house and furnishings are clean and updated. It has everything you would need to feel at home! The property and views are beautiful! My girls loved playing on the clean sandy beach, fishing, jumping off the docks, floating on rafts and eating lunch and snacks in the bug-free screened in porch on the dock. The new dock provides shade which made relaxing and watching the children even more enjoyable. I also enjoyed paddle boarding early in the morning when the water was crystal clear and the lake was so tranquil. The sunrises and sunsets are picturesque. The outdoor fireplace was the perfect spot to make S’mores, sit around and relax. The large side yard was also the perfect place to catch fireflies at dusk. Many happy memories were made the weekend we came to visit 145 Scarlet O’Hara Court. We can’t wait to come back to this “happy place.” It deserves a perfect rating for sure!
Rented this house for a 4 day weekend, and absolutely loved it! The space is utilized so well, there was plenty of room for all 11 of us. Nobody even had to share a bed. Having the paddleboards and kayaks for some morning exercise was amazing. We rented a boat one day and could dock it at the house. We also had a bunch of floats and loved just floating around out in the cove. Sunsets were fantastic. This property is perfect! Would absolutely come back again and have recommended it to my family for future family vacations.
This is one of the best vacation spots we've had for our family to meet and spend some time together having fun and hanging out with each other. This year we rented a pontoon boat from Duke's Marina. It took two of us about 20 minutes to drive around the lake to get there, but only 8 minutes to get across the lake to the private dock to get everyone else and all the coolers, etc. onto the boat. We spent a great day on the lake cruising from the dam, under the New Bridge Road, all the way to the inlets at the other end of the lake. The lake was not crowded with too many boats making a very relaxing day on the water. We stopped at several places for a swim and to cool off a bit. The house was very comfortable and the 10 of us had plenty of room. Playing games in the spacious yard next to the lake and having a huge camp fire the one night right down by the lake were some of the favorite activities. We also enjoyed a great meal at Tim's located next to the mini golf along the road we took to get to this property. Food Lion was close enough to make easy trips there as needed. We had perfect weather the entire stay after arriving in the rain and wondering what this week would be like if the rain continued. A great time was had by all.
We loved staying here for the weekend. The property was absolutely phenomenal. We were outside in the water all day and the sunsets at night were unbeatable. We used the kayaks, paddle boards, and filled every bed in the house. We also rented out a boat and were able to dock it outside while using it during the day. 5 starts out of 5 all the way! We loved it and didn't want to leave.
My family and I have stayed here 3 times now and would highly recommended to any family looking for a great time. The views are amazing, the house wonderfully updated and maintained, and with ease of acccess to the lake the memories you make here will be unforgettable! There is so much to do from kayaking, to fishing, to swimming in the lake my kids didn't want to leave. Will definitely be revisiting gone with the wind getaway!
