We had a great time at this place. We could forget there was a pandemic out there. Very peaceful and quiet. Away from it all.

Gorgeous house away from it all. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Great house for a family vacation. We stayed 4 nights there with our 2 young boys and a toddler. It is pretty large, beautiful and has a well-equipped kitchen and washer/dryer in the basement. The bathroom is also very cool and huge (urinal and bidet were a big hit among the young ones). My kids loved watching movies from the extensive DVD collection in dolby surround (we didn't expect that!). The bedroom opens up to a screened-in small porch. We could hear coyotes at night which was pretty cool. The gas grill was out of propane but we texted the local contact who was very responsive and helpful and brought us a new tank (even though all local places were out of propane!). On the downside - though this house is in the middle of the woods and generally quiet, there are some other houses nearby and if guests are outside, you will hear them. The access to the water is through a rather steep wooded hill (very close but could be somewhat difficult with a kayak). There are some kayaks, floaties and life vests in the basement that can be used. There is a nice serene dock where you can fish or go swimming (water socks highly recommended as the lake bottom is rocky there). There is one private bedroom and a loft with a bed - you can really hear all the "action" going on downstairs when in the loft which was a little bit annoying (would have preferred a separate second bedroom but we knew what we were getting so as long as you're aware!). To get to this house, you need to drive on a gravel road for quite some time (15 mins or so). Lots of nice local attractions nearby though: Lily Bay State Park (nice quiet beach), good hiking (we climbed Big Moose Mountain and Mount Kineo), downtown Greenville with ice-cream, restaurants and shops. The grocery shopping is quite limited in the area so I recommend bringing your own or stocking up in Greenville on your way in. Generally, I highly recommend the house.

We loved the house, especially the kitchen. We left the pantry stocked as the cupboard was bare when we arrived. Someone actually stole the salt shaker. The kitchen is otherwise very well appointed.

Beautiful home, great location close to town but not to close where you have privacy. A short walk to the lake makes this a wonderful place to stay.
