Close to town center, state park and ferry. Home is very clean. Beds are large and cozy.
Will be better if the owner can add more screens to the windows. It will help to cool down the rooms without bugs.

Due to the Whidbey Navy Base being VERY close by, we had to deal with three days of jets flying DIRECTLY over the house. We were disappointed because this was not mentioned in the description. Day 1 they flew for about three hours in the afternoon, and we couldn’t keep the door open because you couldn’t hold a conversation due to the noise, which made the house really hot. Two of the days the jets were practicing at night and we were really concerned about our 23 month old being able to sleep through it. We lucked out and she did and they only flew for 2 hours one night and 10 minutes the second, but we feel we should have been told that this was a possibility ahead of time.
The house is old and has an old house bad smell, but was mostly pretty clean (some cob webs in the window of one of the showers.) Having a full kitchen was great because we cooked to save money, but when we got there, there was a sign posting that the dishwasher was broken, again, the description of the amenities was not accurate. Also, there was NO DVD library.
If you like really hard mattresses and very soft pillows, the beds are perfect for you.
The view is exactly as it looks in the pictures and was the only redeeming quality. Also, if you like fishing, it is perfect! Lots of folks were out fishing up and down the waterfront.
Yes it is cheap, but I’d rather spend a bit more money and be a bit more comfortable.
Hello, Sarena. Thank you so much for your review and helpful feedback. We apologize if your stay was less than perfect. Please know we are working to get the dishwasher repaired. The waterfront homes tend to have a sea smell to them; some can find this bothersome, some not. This home is located near the Whidbey Island Navel base and yes there is jet activity, I am sorry this affected you. I have gone over the guest notes for the home and provided additional detail in regards to potential noise from the base. We appreciate you taking care of our place as if it were your own, and we do hope that credits for the inconveniences that you experienced were helpful. If there is anything else we can still do for you, please reach out anytime and let us know.

I loved how quaint this house was and the view was to die for! We loved watching the cruise ships and ferries passing through and even got a surprise visit from some seals and porpoises!

Right on the beach. 180 degree views. The house itself is basic, but clean and comfy.
