Settle in on a leather sofa before the gas fireplace modeled after a rustic woodstove, and watch the kids play outside in the backyard from the wall of windows. Enjoy reading in a recliner or in one of the two armchairs.
The cook of your group will fall in love with the barn wood-style cabinets and stainless steel appliances of the full-service kitchen. With a breakfast bar for three, and a dining table for four, everyone will have a place to sit.
Head outside to the backyard fire pit after dinner for s'mores. You can walk straight down to the bay via a beach trail with clamming shovels and buckets in hand - don't forget your mud boots! If you do choose to bring your dogs, a nightly pet fee applies.
Put the younger members of the group to bed in the guest room, with three twins and nice natural light. The master suite has a pretty queen bed done in a raspberry duvet. These two bedrooms share a sleek bathroom with modern touches.
This home also includes a washer/dryer, to keep all your beach clothes fresh so there's no need to worry about keeping clothes clean while out exploring! The cottage was very clean and comfortable, in a nice part of town. The accommodations were perfect for our stay. A very nice alternative to a hotel room!

the home was clean and quiet the kitchen was well stocked we are going to rent this home again soon
Linda M.Sep 2018
This place is clean and quiet (most of the time). Maintenance decided to operate a leaf blower on Saturday morning on the driveway right outside the house, not more than 5-10 ft. away. The upper bunk is not stable and all mattresses are extremely soft. I read other reviews that commented the same, but thought they couldn't be that bad...well, they are. We won't stay here again until there is notice that the mattresses are replaced.
We are sorry to see our guest was not as pleased with their accommodations as we would have hoped. The bunk beds are quite safe, and the owners do not plan to replace the mattresses at this time. Thank you!

The view. Quiet and peaceful.

This is a beautifully renovated cottage in a great location, quiet but still quick drive to town. The downside- there is a new kitchen and bath, nice furnishings, yet they put old mattresses on the beds and topped them with thick foam. So the beds are terrible. Please upgrade the mattresses! A beautiful little updated cottage should not have mushy old goodwill mattresses. Also don’t use the gas stove. We smelled carbon monoxide. Luckily we turned it off and opened the windows. There is only heat in the bedrooms so they need to put a heater in the living area also. Other than that, the kitchen was great, had everything. Big TV. Nice leather sofa.
Parking for two cars. Easy to find. Five minutes away is a Safeway, gas, 7 eleven. And I found a nice path for walking just north by the airport (3 minute drive ) with a great view of the bay. Bring sweatshirts as the wind is always blowing.
I wish the path to the beach was fixed. It goes down but the stones are too dangerous and weeds overgrown to make it down. Would be really cool to walk the beach at sunset.
Cottage is good for a couple. Or a couple with kids. Doors are thin so if you’re a light sleeper you will hear anyone in the kitchen/living room.
Again, it’s a great place once they upgrade the mattresses. In meantime, I suggest taking the foam off if it’s too soft, and put sheets back on the regular mattress.

This was a very nice cottage and our two little boys loved it! There were lots of games and toys for the boys to play with and the house was stocked with many essentials for your convenience. The owners or a family was staying at the other residence on the property so we were unable to see the view or backyard of the place which overlooks Coos Bay. We would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area.
Bonnie H.Apr 2018
This is our second time on this property (rented the guest house before) and it was perfect. It’s not easy finding decent places to stay in these parts, and this one’s a gem! We will always stay here when we are visiting Coos Bay.
Gina D.Apr 2018
Seagate Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Our kids enjoyed the games and Tinkertoys. I liked the gas fireplace and WiFi. If you enjoy clamming, then the beach access is for you (on a low tide). We found a few nice shells. Make sure you wear your boots! The trail is a hard climb out. We had a very nice stay at the cottage.
Stacy F.Apr 2018
Home is super easy to find and close to town. On a dead end road allowed the kids and doggie to have some space to play. House was well stocked other then garbage halfway full already outside for a family of 5 staying 4 nights and no extra garbage bags were left. That said we had no other issues. We didnt mind having to drive to the beach as the beach access is non existent. Looks like it has been erroded away so stairs are crumbling and Very very steep!! Amazing view all the same. House was spacious and clean. Would absolutely stay again.
Laury A M.Mar 2018
Nice accommodations well equipped cottage
Yoshiko R.Mar 2018
Clean, lovely, and quiet. Access to the beach. Full kitchen. Cozy stove. I would like to stay there again if I visit Coos Bay.
Laurel G.Dec 2017
Spacious and clean, convenient to both North Bend & Coos Bay amenities. Well-stocked. Awesome kitchen and bathroom. Peaceful, quiet location for get-away.
Susan W.Dec 2017
My husband is confined to a wheelchair and this property is not in a place that he could get out on his own and wander.
Curtis J.Nov 2017
This was my first time renting something like this and I have to say there were no regrets. It’s a perfect location and the amenities were more than I had expected. When I say they provide everything utensil wise, I mean everything! From coffee pot to extra blankets.....oh and there’s a hot tub.
The living room was comfortable, got to watch the Seahawks squeak out a win that Sunday evening on the flat screen provided. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a nice place to stay don’t pass this one up.
Jason K.Nov 2017
The pictures do not give this place justice we stayed for the weekend and really loved everything about the place from its style, comfort and cleanliness. If we are in Coos Bay again we will be coming back to Seagate. The Vacasa team were great and responsive and everything was EASY !
Julie C.Oct 2017
Very spacious and quiet. Loved the private nook it was set back in.
Katherine B.Oct 2017
Great home. Very clean and updated!
Jerry M.Sep 2017
Could have been a bit cleaner and could have used a couple of more pots to cook with. As I said before could use a bed upgrade and access to the hot tub.
The hot tub is for the rental next door; we apologize for any disappointments this caused. The property manager has brought more cookware to the unit. Thanks!
Cary H.Sep 2017

Nicely remodeled kitchen and comfortable living room. Beds were a bit rough, replace them and the place would be prime. We enjoyed it very much.

Great location for a long walk. Relaxing and quiet at the end of the street. BBQ provide so pick up charcoal and fluid.
Leah C.Apr 2017
Clean, easy to find and so comfortable
Brian H.Apr 2017
The cottage was clean and functional. We appreciated the kitchen centric and living room setup. The location, at the end of the street, was great to feel like you were out of the city. the location was also very convient for town runs and getting to the coast.
Anne C.Mar 2017
We really liked staying here. It was very cozy and warm, the gas fireplace was a bonus!
Season R.Dec 2016
We lived this property. Everything was easy and all we had to worry about was having a good time.
Nick M.Dec 2016
We've stayed at this location two years now and it has been perfect for us.
Donna R.Dec 2016
Very sweet and updated cottage that is quiet and somewhat secluded. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and a great yard and area for our dog to check out - supervised of course. Already planning another trip to Seagate Cottage!
Janet C.Nov 2016
While the property itself is very clean, easy to get to, etc. My family and I felt a little blindsided by the set of "rules" we were given 6 days prior to our arrival when it was entirely too late to change our plans. We paid extra to bring our dog with us, who is an extremely well trained and very well socialized Bull Mastiff. We would advise future potential renters to know that there is a list of dog breeds that are not allowed on the property and you don't receive this list until it is too late to make other plans. Thank goodness our dog wasn't one of those breeds. We feel this list of restricted dog breeds should be given to potential renters up front in the description for the property.
We were also very disappointed that the television never worked the entire time we were there even though we called on 3 separate occasions only to be told a "ticket would be put in" to get it repaired. No repair. No contact regarding a repair. We read the guest book to see that another guest and their family had the same issue back in August 2016. So the television has not worked for at least 2 months and the office has been advised multiple times. We feel we should be given a refund on some of our fee due to this.
We apologize that the dog limitations came as a surprise to this guest and that the cable was not working. The dog restrictions have been added to the description of the home, and the cable company will have the issue fixed shortly.
Wendy K.Oct 2016
We come to visit family here often and this is the first time we have enjoyed the place we have rented. Whether it is a motel room or a vacation rental it's always so disappointing UNTIL we rented this place. Very pleased. We'll rent this one again for sure!
Mario A. J.Aug 2016
We stayed in the house for a couple nights. It felt very homey. The home was very clean and the furniture was very comfortable. It was nice and quiet in the evenings making it easy to relax. The hot tub was a big bonus and had a beautiful view. The trail to the beach was a little difficult to find and would be difficult for the elderly, younger children, and some dogs to navigate. When we climbed down to the beach we were there for a couple hours and we were the only ones there. It had a nice view. The only problem is you sink into the sand a bit. The house has board games to play and some movies to watch on their DVD player to relax in the evenings. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and we would happily return to this home again.
Robyn D.Aug 2016
I have to say I was so excited to write something about this house. As reading reviews helped us picking this rental. I can't say enough of how much we loved this house. It was a clean house with everything we needed. Parking enough for our truck and boat. The driveway is in a circle so the kids had fun riding bikes and playing in the tree house in the middle. With the windows open the house kept cool but when it was too cold the fire place worked out great!! Kitchen was great to cook in. All the beds were comfortable. The shower was great. The washer and dryer were a plus. We even got a chance in the hot tub. There is other houses on the property but both were not occupied during our stay. We have no complaints about this house! We are looking forward to staying here again.
Rodney B.Aug 2016
This is our second visit to this great little house. It has been just over a year. It is a great place to bring our dogs. Great walk towards the airport. Comfortable, clean, great kitchen. Thanks
Denise M.Jul 2016
Best view, super clean property and a joy to stay there!! The bunk beds need replacing or refurbishing, too rickety for anyone more than 60 pounds or so...my poor son ended up on the couch. Other than that though it really was a beautiful, clean place with great access to downtown and beach areas.
We apologize that the bunk beds did not work well for this guest. Our Property Manager personally tested the bunk beds and found them to be stable.
Dan C.Jul 2016
I do plan to come back to this location again. It worked out well for my family.
Mary Anne B.Jul 2016
This rental is very comfortable and the location is very convenient, to shopping and the wonderful beaches. Do take the drive down 101 to Bandon, and Face Rock if your traveling with young children ( travel with teenagers) take in the Zoo too But most of all relax take in the fresh air and just BE!
Samantha M.Jul 2016
My family really enjoyed the place. We did use the hot tub but both times were when the other vacationers staying on the property next to us weren't there. The view was great. We planned on using the fire pit too for smores but never got to. There wasn't enough toilet paper for all of us and there wasn't enough laundry pods to start a load of towels before we left as requested. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen.
Denise M.Apr 2016
The place was very nice and the bed was really comfortable. The only thing that was inconvenient was there was only a small amount of dish washing soap and laundry soap. So we had to purchase more.
Mary Anne B.Apr 2016
You'll love this Cottage, from the staff (Frank was wonderful and very helpful) everything you could ask for is here for you, from the comfortable beds, the kitchen is a joy to cook in, the cook won't feel left out with the open concept , and the grounds are beautiful. Love this pet friendly property. Spend your day exploring the Coast and return to a warm, comfortable and quite place to recharge for your next day .
Lauren H.Mar 2016
Great, clean little property. Close to town and other day adventures.
Katherine W.Feb 2016
We had a great visit here and were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves. Great place and very romantic location. The Cottage was perfect for us and we will be back.
Jean V.Dec 2015
Nice small place and cozy; nice for small getaway and to visit the family :) hope to come back again soon and it will be abailable again :)
Grace K.Oct 2015
There were several things that could be improved. The beds are awful and in desperate need of replacement. Only one mirror in the entire cottage made getting ready difficult. The WiFi could not be used the entire time we were there and there are lots of transients in the area. To top it all off, the main residence was broken into on the last morning of our stay. My husband called the police, but when the caretaker arrived he started screaming at my husband and accused him of doing it!! WTH?? I won't be posting anything on the social media sites, but the owner's really need to be made aware of the caretakers lack of people skills.
Thank you for your review. We regret to see that your experience was not more positive. The Property Manager is aware of your comments and will work on the maintenance items you have mentioned. We are very sorry to see that there was a break-in in the area and that it was not handled well; we will be sure to follow-up on that situation. We hope you enjoyed the easy water access!
Rodney B.Jun 2015
Wonderful little house in a great location. Easy to get to Shore Aces, and Cape Arago, and the dunes and beachs. Cute clean, great for the dogs. There are trails both ways from the house to walk and exercise the dogs.
Sophia F.Jun 2015
The place is sits on a property that overlooks the Coos Bay estuary. It has beach access however you do have to mind the tidal conditions. It sits at the end of a gravel road so you are not subjected to any road traffic. It is clean, peaceful and private. The main house, guest house and cottage is ideal for large groups (family reunion?) The staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay again.
Gillian B.May 2015
We loved the location, quiet, clean, spacious, well maintained, wonderful fixtures, chairs, sofas...BUT sleeping was a problem..soft old mattresses. Small beds and no reading lamps for those who like to read books in bed and in a quiet corner of the room.
Also address numbers need to placed on outside of building.
Otherwise...a wonderful experience!
We appreciate your suggestions and will take them under consideration. We are glad to see that you enjoyed the great location and wonderful home. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!
Justin C.Feb 2015
Pros: cute place. Interior is very modern and nice. For the price, it was an excellent buy. Very clean and modern appliances. Carport to park your car. Board games and nice TV. A partial view of the Bay from carport area.
Cons: "shared" jacuzzi is hard to find. There are 2-3 properties in same lot. Jacuuzi is behind main property. There were other guests in the main house and no signage of the jacuuzi so we felt a little uncomfortable to just go snooping and we weren't sure if they knew it was a shared jacuuzi. Wifi was a little sluggish but who cares when you have the outside. Only downside was we didn't get to use the jacuuzi.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your time at this cute vacation home with all that it has to offer. The hot tub and patio are shared between this cottage and the Seagate Guest House. We certainly appreciate your feedback after your stay. The owners take great care in ensuring this home is accommodating and welcoming for guests. We hope to see you again next time you visit the Coast!
