Spacious oceanfront, single-level home with private hot tub. Dogs okay!
This gorgeous oceanfront South Beach vacation rental is the perfect place to plan your next coastal getaway with extended family or groups of friends! Filled with amazing features including a private hot tub, game room, and an enclosed yard for your dogs, as well as ocean views from all around the house, you will want to visit this gem again and again!
Located right on the shore about seven miles south of Newport, this South Beach home is in the ideal position for you to enjoy the best ocean views possible. With all the activities in Newport just a short drive north, and easy beach access just half a mile south at Ona Beach, you will be within easy reach of everything the Central Coast has to offer!
This four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom, single-level home is an especially fun and welcoming house for multi-generational families, and makes a beach vacation easy for those who don't do so well with stairs. It even welcomes up to two dogs, though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply. As many as 10 guests will be comfortable in this lovely house.
Once you step inside, walk to the back of the house to the sitting area, where you will be amazed at the spectacular views of the ocean through the enormous windows. This is a wonderful space to enjoy a chat with your loved ones or to cozy up with a good book. It would also be a perfect place for stormwatching while the gas fireplace keeps the room extra warm and cozy.
Just past this room is an open kitchen and dining area. More large windows allow breathtaking views of the sea that will keep you entertained while you cook in this gorgeous kitchen. With all the appliances, cooking tools, and serviceware you may need to feed a crowd (plus some fun extras such as a blender, slow cooker, and even a waffle iron), preparing meals here will be a breeze! Sit down at the dining room table or on the chairs in the sitting room and gaze at the ocean while you enjoy a home-cooked meal.
Behind the cozy sitting room is a space that is full of fun: an entertainment room. This room has a comfortable sectional sofa where you can settle in and watch some cable on the enormous flatscreen TV. There's also WiFi available throughout the house, as well as board games that you're welcome to borrow. This room has a pool table so you can hold a friendly tournament during a rainy coastal evening.
If you're hoping for even more fun activities, you're in luck! The garage has been converted into a game room, complete with air hockey, Ping-Pong, and an indoor basketball game. This space will keep any youngsters occupied while older guests read by the fire or enjoy a nice chat in the sitting room.
When it's time to rest up for another day of fun, you will have your choice of four bedrooms. Each of these rooms features a luxuriously large king-size bed, and there's an additional comfortable full-size sofabed in the entertainment room to sleep more guests. The master bedroom even has wonderful views of the ocean, an attached bathroom, and access to the enclosed patio. This patio (also accessible from one of the other bedrooms) provides a great space for children or dogs to run around and play.
Outside on the patio is also one of the very best features of this house: a private hot tub. You will love to soak in the bubbling warmth of this hot tub while watching the waves roll in and out, or gazing at the spectacular sunset. What luxury!
If you feel like leaving this fun-filled house and seeking out more adventure, start by driving just south to Ona Beach State Park. There you can have a nice picnic lunch, enjoy a nice long walk on the uncrowded beach, and even launch a kayak or small boat to explore the creek. You could also drive north into South Beach, five miles away, or Newport's Nye Beach (eight miles north) for easy beach access. While you're in Newport, be sure to try out some of the many restaurants! If you feel like fish and chips or other coastal favorites, check out the Chowder Bowl at Nye Beach, though you could also visit the nearby Panini Bakery or head over to the Rogue Ales Bayfront Public House.
Around the Newport area you will find a variety of activities that will please everyone! Take the kids (or animal-loving adults) to spend an afternoon at the Oregon Coast Aquarium and the Hatfield Marine Science Center, or go antiquing or souvenir shopping at the many stores around town. Launch your boat from the marina on the gorgeous Yaquina Bay, or take an oceanfishing charter and catch some fresh fish for dinner. Take photos of the historic Yaquina Head lighthouse or go hiking on one of the nearby coastal trails. And, with Lincoln City just about 35 minutes north of Newport, and many fantastic viewpoints and hidden beaches dotting the Central Coast, you will have no trouble finding ways to have fun here.
With no shortage of fabulous features, including an unbeatable oceanfront location, private hot tub, and a dog-friendly attitude, this Central Oregon Coast vacation rental has everything you may need to have a truly wonderful beach getaway!
Loved the setting; loved the comfy furniture; great kitchen; very clean; and plenty of amenities.
The view was amazing and loved the house.
The view was awesome! Loved the king sized beds in all 4 bedrooms! Very comfortable!
We loved the large windows and the pool table. Also the hot tub was perfect. The pictures make it look like there is beach access right off the back, but there is a big cliff. That was our only disappointment as we hadn't read the fine print that beach access was down the road.
Older but well equipped home perfect for a family gathering or getaway!
Very spacious! Bed's are comfortable and the ocean view is spectacular!
Loved the space and the few.
This house was beautiful, the amenities were great and everything was clean! Will definitely be back!!!
The view, hot tub and game room
This house was perfect for our group for a weekend. Can comfortably fit 8, and there is much common space with absolutely beautiful views! Would definitely book again.
This beach house was absolutely so beautiful ! The rooms were the perfect size ! Just an absolute amazing view ! We had an amazing four days n for a good price! Can’t wait to go back
The home has room to spare. We loved the various areas (dining, living, TV, pool table) so there was always room to spread out. Comfortable, generously sized bedrooms. And the best part was the view. You open the front door and say "Hello" to the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
We had a group of 8 people from ages 25 to early 60's. The view of the ocean is amazing. Every amenity of the home was used to it's full extent. We played ping pong, air hockey, pool, basketball, book, watched movies, played board games, relaxed in the hot tub, cooked all our meals family style and enjoyed each others company. The layout is great and the mid century vibe of the house is pretty cool. Clean, fun & will be back.
A fabulous view of the Oregon Coast, in a roomy, comfortable house.
Awesome house and amazing location. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and/or recommend this to anyone!

Bugs everywhere, Live and dead. Beach access 150 yard walk down the highway is Not safe for the kids.
The spa is not very private, the Neighbors have a great view of you from their balcony. Broken gaming table.
Not worth the money. Had I known I would have rented a motel room and spent the other $700 on the kids having fun.
Wonderful home and the cleanest home we have stayed at.
I wish access to the beach had been better. I am 70 and we had to drive to Ona Beach for access.
My daughter got married at the Stonecrest Cellars B&B just up the road about a mile, so we rented this house for the whole family to stay. It was comfortable and clean. Very relaxing when we were not busy with wedding stuff. Everyone loved just sitting and watching the water, even the grandkids. The house has plenty of room and the views are amazing. Would love to come another time when we aren't so busy and just relax.
The ocean view from the property was incredible. We turned the chairs around and enjoyed our coffee in the morning watching the waves come in. The house is huge with lots of space. Our party included 5 teenage girls and although they were loud, they had lots of space to stretch out without taking over the whole house.
At the price you pay you do not get what is advertised here.
The supplies in the kitchen are terrible. The pans are disgusting (like someone burned bacon in it or something), half of the four slot toaster does not work, the steak knives are more dull than the butter knives, there were zero cleaning supplies for us to help keep the place clean during our week-long stay, and they only leave enough detergent for 3-4 loads of laundry (seven people stayed in the home), but they ask you to "start a load" on your way out.
The paddles for the ping pong table are destroyed, the air hockey table is so clogged with dust/dirt that air does not pump through the surface, and half the jets on the hot tub do not work.
Worst of all, ants invaded on day 2 in the home...yuck!
The pictures in the listing are not a good representation of what you get with this home.
This is my first time using Vacasa and it will most likely be my last.
The location of the home was still 5 stars even if the home itself was an extreme disappointment! At least the Oregon coast was nice!
We had 3 couples (sisters and brothers) and our dad stay here. There was space for everyone to do whatever their heart desired. Well insulated so that late night ping pong and pool didn't keep those awake that wanted to sleep. The beach was beautiful, but be aware you can't access it from the property. Countless things to do in close proximity. Would love to go again some time!!
We were lucky to find this rental the night before our family wanted to adventure to the beach for a few days. We were lucky to secure the rental at a reduced rate for what I assume were related to the winter weather. Absolutely stunning view of the ocean, lots of fun activities for different kinds of people, great internet connection, and good hot tub—especially while it's raining! The family will be back to this property, hopefully again for the same rate ~$560 for 2 nights + 1 dog. Some of us were a little disappointed that the beach required a short car ride, but the situation lent itself in other ways. We ended up spending more time in the hot tub and playing board games in full view of the stormy sea. In hindsight, the pictures don't really do it justice. This place feels big and all of the ocean-facing rooms lend themselves to a spectacular view.

Unique, one level home with fantastic views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home which provided gorgeous views of the beach and ocean, a game room, and plenty of space to enjoy our time with family.
My self and my wife try to get away from the crazy life we sometimes live and this was a breath of air for us we will not only stay again but many more times to come
Spent two nights at the South Beach House with our two adult children, their significant others and our dogs. House was perfect for us and we all loved the beautiful views. Stayed up late both nights having fun playing ping pong and the other games. We would definitely stay at this house again.
Nice place if you enjoy being close to you beach. The view is outstanding. The house worked well with our family lots of fun things to do. .we all enjoy the Oregon Coast. ..wee k was just enough. .
Had a wonderful weekend here, plenty of room for the 10 of us. Comfortable beds, it's hard to find a place with king beds for 3 couples, so that was nice. Beautiful views, and lovely hot tub. We'll be back.

Surprisingly spacious interior.... the add-on construction tastefully handled & outfitted w/real liveable furniture. The vast windows w/the roller shades made it impossible to ignore the gift of the Beach surf! Just when you think you have had your fill, it's time to climb into the patio spa to really relax gazing at the sea...The furnishings plus a kitchen w/ dishes & flatware to handle the gang thru a day's meals w/ a biggie size frig kept us on location except for a fishing day. After walking the beach to return in time for the sunset toast of appreciation for another extraordinary day, to discovery lit fireplaces , just topped the comfy/cozy scale of indulgence for all..... The week evaporated in memory making family time ....thank you South Beach rental!
The view was gorgeous from the dining area and living room. The home had all the amenities you could ask for at the beach.
We had 4 adults and 5 children. We enjoyed the beautiful ocean views from the big windows! This house is for all ages. Everyone loved the air hockey, ping pong, pool, and basketball throw. We liked the one level also. The house was large and roomy and quite well equipped. Comfortable king-size beds in every bedroom. Would have liked a DVD player and perhaps a couple more TVs. A wonderful vacation for our family!
Great house for a family. Wish there were steps down for beach access but we have a blast none the less.
Great family trip. Love the views from the house. Lots of fun and memories on our trip.
This was a great house. A lot of room for the 8 of us. The view was spectacular. If you want/ need easy access to the beach from the house, this isn't for you. Vacasa staff are helpful, hard to get through on the phone at times, but that could be due to the time of year. I would recommend this rental company and I am sure I will use them again.
We had a great time although the weather was not the best we went to some shops and the beach was just so peaceful there is no direct beach access but I wanted to run so that was no issue for me as I went exploring for a long time
We loved this house. Our group was five adult couples in our late twenties. It was the perfect house to relax in. It is hard to find a house with king beds instead of twins and bunk beds, so this house was great. I recommend bringing extra garbage bags and paper towels - there were only a couple of each provided and with a big group we used them up quickly. Also they say they provide shampoo and conditioner, but they are just hotel size bottles and not enough for a group to get through a long weekend with. Beach access isn't as bad as the other reviews say. You just walk down the road a short ways. Its on the high way though so you have to be careful. Games were great too - ping pong is always fun at the beach. We would definitely stay again.
We had an amazing stay. It was our mothers 83 birthday and she really enjoyed the view of the ocean. We were very lucky to get to see whales while we were cooking breakfast on Mother's Day!!
We enjoyed our stay here overall. The views are amazing. I really wish we had direct beach access. I misread the listing and was disappointed by that. But it was a very easy walk past 2 houses do it was fine. And we had the beach to ourselves. The master bathroom smells very moldy. We weren't able to get the hot tub hotter than 99 degrees, so that was a little rough. Also, the "enclosed patio" is certainly not secure for animals as suggested on the listing. My dogs immediately ran out through the bushes. One of them ended up stuck on a ledge (It's basically a cliff below the house) and my husband had to scramble down to rescue her. Should be fine with a less adventurous dog though.
house keeping need to make sure if anything bendings are cleaned after each visit
Beautiful location. Great house for teenagers. Enjoyed the hot tub.
We stayed hear with a group of pastors on a retreat and we had a blast! Really enjoyed having the pool table and ping pong table available and you can't beat that view!
Wet dog and bleu cheese smell in carpet in oceanfront livingroom made it unbearable to sit in the room. Lights in master bedroom bathroom and outside near hot tub not working. Heater in TV not working and unable to repair per maintenance tech. Remotes scattered around the house with no instructions how to use(Fireplace in livingroom, fireplace in master bedroom, and heater in TV room) Two people can't shower at the same time due to freezing water temps. Location is great, that's the only positive.
We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. Housekeeping will work on the odor so the home is more pleasant to be in. The Property Manager has taken care of the lights and heating, and he will work on providing instructions for the amenities in the house.

Very smooth check-in /check-out.
One of the best vacation rental I have been to.
Beds, Pool table, ping-pong table, beach views, hot tub. Amazing!
Our family of 7 enjoyed a week long stay at the South Beach House. The home was perfect for accommodating 6 adults and one teenager. The hot tub was was fantastic and the furniture was very comfortable. There were plenty of games and the pool table was always in use! The internet was fast and reliable. We had such a great time we didn't even turn on the TV! There were plenty of dishes and pans to help cooking a large Turkey dinner, but we did bring our own pans and storage containers. Be sure to bring extra laundry detergent and dishwasher soap if you've got a large group of people. There was enough soap for 1 load of dishes per day, but with 8 -10 people, 12 plates won't last long. We found the home very comfortable and enjoyable, especially the gas fireplaces! Oh and the view was amazing.
Older home with some updates but the beautiful view of the ocean front makes it worth the trade in luxury. Well kept, clean & comfortable. Baseboard heat was finicky & not working so great in one bedroom & was much to hot in others, which was alleviated by opening bedroom windows. Nice to have the pool table & other games in the garage.
The house had plenty of space for everyone to spread out - a separate TV room with comfy couch and big screen TV, game room, sitting area with fireplace and beautiful views, very large kitchen very well appointed with French door frig, crock pot, plenty of dishes. The four king sized beds were a definite plus for us, having four adult couples (though the bathroom configuration was a little odd - one master ensuite, while the other three bedrooms had to share a bath) Hot tub was awesome (but can you trim the bushes so you can see the beautiful view?) Location was quiet, with quick drive into Newport for shopping, etc. Great vacation.
We enjoyed our stay at the South Beach house and there were four generations of the family with us and something for everyone. It would be nice if the hedge by the hot tub was lower so you could see the beach from the porch and the BBQ needed to be cleaned since there was a build-up of grease. Everything else was in good shape.
It is a good family rental. We enjoyed all that was offered and the surrounding area. The view is great so even without beach access we had a great time.
Worked out extremely well. All guests enjoyed the stay. Only thing lacking was direct access to the beach.
We loved this place! It had plenty of space for several families. Many activities for children. Very clean and stocked with everything you would need.
This house has a lot of activities to keep everyone entertained, and there is a little something for all interests. There's a great view, but the beach access is a short walk along the highway. The house was very clean, and the accommodations were quite comfortable. This is a good spot!
This place was as awesome as I was hoping it would be. The views from the house are amazing and the amount of things to do in and around the house are more than enough to keep you busy for a weekend. I hope to get a chance to come back sometime.
Tons of things to do around the house like relaxing in the hot tub, all the game tables, the beach.
Not far from the pier where you can get some good food and see the fishing boats.
Plenty of space for 7 guys and a dog
The only negatives of the place that I came across was that we weren't able to find an easy way down to the beach, and when the sun was coming down it would make the house can get pretty hot (once we opened the windows and dropped the blinds it cooled off fairly quickly)
The best beach access for this house is about a 1/2 mile south at Ona Beach. We are pleased that you enjoyed the home!
Stephanie J S. April 2015
The house was clean and the beds were really comfortable! The view was incredible! The only big downfall was there is not beach access, and you either had to back into the driveway from highway 101 or back out onto highway 101.
We had a fantastic time at the South Beach House. As soon as you walk in, you see a gorgeous view of the ocean, rain or shine. The fridge was large enough to hold food for 4 young families and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of space to hang out and talk, great internet, and hot tub! We had a great time there and would definitely do it again.
Our family and friends enjoyed our time here. The view of the ocean was spectacular. However, the noise of highway 101 and no direct beach access was unfortunate. We had to walk on the edge of the highway to reach the pathway to the beach two houses to the south of the property. The pictures of the property do not show the rather large drop off (20-30 feet) that exists out the back windows! Overall, our family had a very pleasant stay--loved the view, the kids enjoyed playing pool, sitting in the hot tub, and having enough space for everyone to spread out and relax! This was our first Vacasa rental and their customer service far exceeded our expectations! Thank you Ted, too for the quick response!
This is a very comfortable home with spectacular views of the ocean from the living room and dining room. It accommodated 3 couples along with 3 children. Though the weather was spotty the property was a hit due to the hot tub and game rooms with a pool table, ping pong, air hockey, and a hoop shoot game. Be aware that there is no direct beach access from the house (must drive ~ 1/4 mile along Hwy 101) which was a bit of a disappointment. A minor nit-pick was that the house sits right on Hwy 101 with some road noise. We also had to vacuum when we got there as the cleaning was not sufficient, a problem I addressed with Vacasa. Overall we had a great time there.
It's nice to know that group was able to enjoy all of the fun amenities this home offers. This is a beautiful home with a fanstastic view and is a great place for children with all of the different activities available. While there is no direct beach access, we hope your group was able to enjoy their time at Ona Beach State Park down the road. It is a nice area to explore while you walk through the woods and then it opens up to the ocean. Thank you for taking the time to submit your review, I hope that everyone had a great time and we would love to have you as guests again!
We arrived to the house and were very pleased with the house and the view as well. It had ample amounts of room for all of our party and in the area there was plenty to do and places to visit. We had a great time!
We learned last minute (24 hours before check-in) that our Vacasa rental in Yachats would not be available for the weekend. We were not pleased, but Vacasa was very accommodating, and we loved our stay.
The home is fairly updated and very clean, with an extremely well stocked kitchen (crock pot, waffle maker). The view of the ocean is lovely. The home is perched on a bluff overlooking the ocean, and we wished for a stairway or other beach access.
The master bedroom is wonderful. The small bedroom near the hot tub gets very cold at night. It appears to have once been a porch and doesn't seem properly insulated. The back bedrooms do not have a sea view, and they do get some road noise. We avoided these rooms.
Overall, we were pleased and would return if our preferred rental in Yachats is booked up.
