The lake itself is a breathtaking deep water lake that flows more than 50 miles from the Cascade mountains down into the Columbia River. The rural community of Manson is just on the outskirts of the Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, and sits seven miles west of the town of Chelan and Highway 97.
