When our business team needed to be in Orlando for a meeting, we booked this four bedroom house. Compared to 4 hotel rooms, we cut our costs by 75%. The house easily holds 4 adults or a family of 6. The entire process of booking, entering, checking-out is handled smoothly and super professionally. The internet worked well which was important for us to do work . We didn't really cook as we were out of the house for 12 hour days, but the kitchen seemed well stocked with cooking and eating items. We didn't have time for the pool but did relax outside on the lanai at the end of the night. The drive to the convention center was a simple 30 minute commute. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. When we had a problem with the front door lock, the manager replaced the lock within 24 hours. Communication via email was prompt. One of our associates remarked that the home would be a good setting for his family on a future vacation.
House was neat and clean, large enough for our family of 8 - very comfortable place to come home to....
This home fit our family vacations needs as it had a lot of space and wasn't too far from all the local attractions that Central Florida has to offer. The community pool and hot tub was a big hit as well as the community fitness center and they were both very clean and brand new! My daughter loved the kiddies pool and water slides. The home is located in a gated community that is locked at night which made us feel safe.
We are travelers - we stay at VRBO/Vacasa places all over...but this was horrible. The floorpan was the only good thing about this place. Other wise: Dirty linens. Dirty comforters. Dirty floors in kitchen. Shoes from other people around the house. Swim trunks bunched up in the closet from someone else. Bathroom toilet upstairs masterbath ran and ran, and handle broke. All toilet seats were needing to be tightened. Many lightbulbs not working or missing from lights and lamps. Bathmats dirty, hairy, and unclean. Error message on pool heater, no heat in pool. "Local" manager Andrew would answer my phone calls, "promise" for cleaning crew or to help us, and didn't follow through. He replaced my king sized dirty filthy comforter after 2 nights, and he knew the 1st night we had dirty linens. Vacasa phone staff was there to listen to me, but couldn't help in the moment nor change the problems or fix the issues in the house.
The house is okay, but it really need many major upgrades. Old bedsheet in all bedroom. The house is not worth the rental rate.
Upon arrival of the home we noticed that the front lawn was littered with trash from an over flowing trash can. Over the course of a week the trash was never picked up which ultimately led to wild animals wanting to feast on the garbage. Especially the raccoon, we came home to a couple nights in a row. It was bad enough that we couldn't exit our vehicle for at least 5 minutes before it eventually wondered off. I think something was wrong with the raccoon or it was just that used to humans. Also, there was a big black snake by the front door just eating lizards as I was walking in and out with my kids. I never noticed it until the last trip to the car as we were loading it up to leave.
When we first entered the home it appeared to be clean on the surface but once you sat down and unwound you could really see that it was only spot cleaned. I noticed hair all over the place; the counter tops, dining room table and living room coffee table appeared to be spot cleaned or with a very dirty rag. There was also a film on the surface along with dried up food.
The garbage disposal had an awful smell coming from it only to have my husband pull something absolutely disgusting out of it. I can't even explain to you what that was. A dead animal, old cigarette butts, food? I have no idea but it was gross and needless to say the garbage disposal was broke.
The master bath was gorgeous but very dirty. There was mold that had grown over time all over and remnants of someone previously showering in it. It had soap scum and old soap bars on the drain. It was never cleaned and it appeared that way.
The smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night while my husband and I were sleeping in the master bedroom. You could only imagine the chaos that ensued from that. Especially after a long day of driving and Disney World in the morning. We were not happy. We found batteries the next day and replaced them. I feel that is something I should not have had to do and should be checked after every stay.
The pirate ship room was a huge disappointment when my son had gone in there "to pick" his bed and climbed onto the bed only to have the bed frame fall on him because it was already broken. He ended up having a massive bruise on the front of his leg from the bottom half falling down on him.
The carpets upstairs also appeared very "crunchy" and by no means felt clean. It was very hard to consider walking around barefoot without the feeling of carpet crunching below you and feeling gross.
The pool was a really nice factor but was a bummer that it was dirty when we arrived due to the screen being ripped. I completely understand that a hurricane had just came through and it was something out of anyone's control. The patio and chairs could have been cleaned up better. It looked like they hadn't been moved in a long time and was covered in spider webs. There was also a lot of dead frogs and geckos around the screen which was disturbing to myself and kids.
Another huge issue we had was the fact that the "gated" community never appeared to be secured and gated. We had come in and out of the community at different times and it was never securely closed. This was a big problem for us considering at one point in time there was a homeless person literally showering in the fire hydrant right outside the home. This occurred in front of my kids as we were loading up to head to Disney world. It was extremely uncomfortable and quite disturbing.
Overall the location to the park was good but would never stay in that area again. Too much mischief going on for me to feel comfortable.
I will have to say that the local manager, Pete Beauchamp, was wonderful in trying to accommodate me and my family. Any time I had an issue he would respond within a short time frame with options on how to fix it. I will rent from Vacasa again only because the customer service was wonderful BUT will not rent that house again.
Cleanliness is one thing I look for when I arrive at a home. This property was very clean when we first got there and the air was cool, which we appreciated. Lots of space! The location of the home was great! Close enough to attractions & shops but hidden away in a little corner. The pool was great, will purchase the heat for the pool next time I stay. I did not consider the rain making the pool cooler. I would say the only thing to watch out for are critters at night. (Which Vacasa does warn about) We filled up the trash can and had to leave some bags out in the front. The next morning there had been trash all over the lawn. We brought the trash back inside overnight but could not stand the smell. Maybe the owners can get another trash can, just in case. I recommend this home to all!
The home is far below expectations and what is represented online is false advertising. The online text describing this house talks of multiple living rooms, a large loft area on the second floor, 2 dining areas and a SPA all of which do not exist. Using wide angle lens to photograph this house does not change the reality of this house!! Beware - this house needs a major overhaul
Loved it! Would stay here every time I visit Orlando.
Typical Florida setting very well located in proximity to theme parks. Room for plenty of guests. Overall a decent place to hang your hat.
We had a great with Family & Friends!
Our stay was wonderful - the home is beautiful , pool clean and is ina rgeat location for grocieries, restaurants and entertainment. A little something for every age.
Nice place to stay near Disney. Comfortable home
The house is very clean and the area is perfect close to grocery stores. My only problem was the pool the water was very low. You can stand on the first step of the pool and it's dry the pool never was filled. When we arrived a water hose was in the pool. Very disappointed about that.
Happy, affordable, comfy home feel
we enjoyed your property. The location was convenient. The house had plenty of room and was functional!! The kids enjoyed the pool as well!!!
The property was nice and. Clean bedrooms were comfortable
