Oceanfront home w/ patio & picnic area - steps from beach, close to downtown!

Walk to Cayucos' gorgeous sandy beach from this one-bedroom retreat on the Central California Coast, a duplex property with a shared patio, a comfortable interior, and an outstanding location for surfers, swimmers, and sunbathers.

This simple, well-equipped home is located on the ground floor of a duplex, just across the street from a staircase and walkway that lead to the beach. You'll be only two miles south of downtown Cayucos, Cayucos State Beach, and the newly restored Cayucos Pier; four miles north of beautiful Morro Bay; and 12 miles north of Montaña de Oro State Park.

Built in 1925, this beach retreat is full of vintage-inspired charm, from the black-and-white checkerboard floors to the colorful blue carpet and furnishings. Come home from a morning surf session to relax on the leather love seat or armchair, open the large windows to let in the sunshine, and use the WiFi to post a few photos of your ocean adventures.

Prepare a homemade breakfast of eggs and pancakes in the full kitchen, which offers plentiful white cabinetry, ample counter space, and standard appliances that include a gas range. Unfold the sports section to study the box scores and sit down to eat at the breakfast bar with seating for two.

Spend your days walking on the beach, sunbathing in the sand, and splashing in the cool ocean waves. Back at the house, you can read in the sun on the private patio, sit down for lunch at the picnic table, or linger outdoors to catch the sunset with a homemade cocktail in hand. And each evening, you and your loved one can curl up on the sofa to watch your favorite movies and shows on the cable TV.

With one bedroom and one full bathroom, this Cayucos property will accommodate a maximum of two guests. You'll find a queen-size bed with a vibrant blue coverlet in the bedroom, as well as a large window that looks out onto the patio. The attached bathroom is equipped with a stall shower.

If you're planning to visit Cayucos with a larger group, keep in mind that the second floor of this duplex is the Cayucos Beach House, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom property that can be rented for an additional group of six.

Affectionately known on the coast as "The Last of the California Beach Towns," Cayucos is a wonderful blend of relaxed charm and impressive natural beauty. Take daily strolls to the beach just 50 feet from home, spend afternoons fishing on the restored Cayucos Pier, and pay a few visits to Montaña de Oro State Park to walk miles of hiking trails with spectacular views of the ocean.

If you're looking to experience one of the most unique attractions on the Central California Coast, look no further than Hearst Castle 25 miles north. This former estate of William Randolph Hearst is perhaps the most opulent historic landmark in the state. with such stunning features as the Neptune and Roman Pools.

The location was great! everything was handy ! the only problem we experienced was when people rented the upper floor it was pretty noisy, however when we mentioned it the women that rented upstairs they were more careful ! Clean and nice except for kitchen floor sticky! The price was nice and we would stay there again maybe upstairs!

The location is fabulous: just 100 ft from the beach and an easy drive to both Cayucas and Morro Bay. Your stay will depend on how quiet the upstairs neighbors are. The tv is small for the size of the room and the kitchen knives and utensils are barely acceptable. Christine, the operations manager, was attentive and effective when we needed her.

Great location. decorated nicely. nice bedroom

The beach is right across the street. Central to Morro Bay, Cambria, Paso Robles and Availa Beach. The furnishings are a bit outdated but overall a comfortable place. Would definitely visit again.

Very nice place with all the amenities. We loved being so close to the beach and being able to hear the ocean at night. Just wish they hadn't held an open house above us while we were there. Very easy access and great location.

We enjoyed our stay, loved the location & appreciated the feeling of being "home" while on vacation

The house was very clean. But the outside needs attention.
We had to keep keep getting up to lower and higher the volume n change the channels.
We could hear the people upstairs walking around all night.

Everything about this home was great, except for how much noise the ceiling/upstairs floor lets through. I wouldn't say the guests upstairs were doing anything out of the ordinary which would cause them to be "noisy neighbors", but the ceiling let through every noise made. This made it difficult to go to bed early, and had I been there with friends/family it would've been even less of a problem.

Would definitely recommend this home.

Very good location for access to Morro Strand State Beach - steps away.

Very close to the beach and easy access to hwy1. Not a lot of walkable places but sometimes that's nice. I'd stay here again!

We had a great stay in the bottom of the duplex. Nice outside gated patio and only one house removed from the ocean. Only complaint would be that it was easy to hear the above tenants while the bedroom.
Would definitely stay again!

The house is beautiful, very nice view. Very clean and comfortable. The only issue I had is that we rented the bottom half of the beach house and someone else rented the top. The top occupants were very loud, you can hear everything they were doing! They had a child/toddler that was jumping up and down the bed, so you heard a lot of banging, items being dragged and moved. Very uncomfortable and not a relaxing stay as expected. If there's a next time we would rent the top half instead of the bottom because you will not enjoy your stay.. I even paid extra for a extended stay but checked out early since we couldn't deal with all the upstairs noise.
Manager Response:
Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay. We are so sorry to hear that the guests upstairs were disruptive. It is important to us to respect the neighboring properties and guests, so if there is ever an issue we encourage our guests to contact our 24 hour guest services line and we would be glad to ensure the noise is kept down. We hope you will come stay again!

I stayed in the ground floor apartment of this lovely beach side home in Cayucos. It was the perfect place to recharge during spring break. Cross the road and take the steps to the sand for a walk on the beach. Or if you'd rather stay closer to home, you can read, sip a drink , and enjoy the sun in one of the comfy chairs on the brick patio. Cayucos is an easy drive from gorgeous hiking and mountain biking in Morro Bay and Montaña de Oro State Parks. Or head into SLO for the Thursday night Farmers' Market. You will not be disappointed!
