Plan a trip to beautiful Pine Mountain Lake at this cozy cabin in Groveland. Up to six guests will enjoy nearby beach access, a foosball table, and community amenities like shared tennis courts, golf, and a swimming pool.
Located in the peaceful Pine Mountain Resort, you'll enjoy wooded surroundings, nearby access to Fisherman's Cove and a beach, and just a 25-mile drive to the entrance of Yosemite! And Dodge Ridge Ski Resort is only 57 miles to the north.
The cabin itself offers a comfortable atmosphere, with wood floors and homey furnishings. Grab a seat on the collection of furniture in the living area to relax with a book by natural light, or turn on the flatscreen cable TV to watch a DVD.
On the other side of this room is a round dining table with seats for four, and an adjoined kitchen is fully stocked with essentials for cooking the perfect meal! Stop at a grocery store on the way through town and stock up with fresh ingredients to whip up home-cooked meals. A dishwasher saves you time on clean-up.
Open the sliding glass doors and step onto the deck, where you can enjoy the sounds of nature from the patio table and furniture. You might sit out here with a cocktail on a nice day while you cook up something delicious on the charcoal barbecue.
Downstairs, accessible through a separate entrance, is a bonus room with a foosball table, flatscreen TV, and a table for four. This room will sleep a few guests on the full-size futon and the twin bed. There's a full bathroom here, as well.
On the main level, one room has two twin beds, and the master features a king-size bed with access to a shared full bath. In total, this cabin will sleep six comfortably.
There's a private washer/dryer for any laundry you need doing, and WiFi is available for your convenience.
This house is perfect for a family or group of friends looking to get out in the woods without sacrificing modern comforts - down the street from the house is Fisherman's Cove, where you'll enjoy a quiet beach and shared tennis courts. You might rent a paddleboat to do some fishing, go horseback riding, or set out in a kayak or canoe to explore the water.
Within 25-50 miles you can be anywhere in Yosemite National Park, including on the floor of Yosemite Valley, looking up at eons of history around you. In one day, you can glimpse the spectacular view atop Glacier Point, learn the history of the park at the museum, and experience the majesty of the National Park for yourself! After all that, you can still make it back home in time for dinner. And if you're in the mood for some indoor gaming, head to Black Oak Casino, 30 miles to the north.
Plan your next trip to the woods with this cozy cabin at Pine Mountain Lake!

Well equipped house, about hour away from Yosemite valley, so useful as a base. Groveland itself is good for basic requirements. Listing states third bedroom is in basement via external stairs, so decided not too use as was isolating from rest of group.
Perfect house except for the fact that the 3rd bedroom and second bathroom are in the basement that is not connected to the main living area. You have to walk outside to get to the main house/kitchen living area. Not a huge deal if you have older kids but their is only a single bed and couch down there, so you may fit 2 down there. There is a tv down there for the people that would be using that area, which we did not.
Great deck with grill and seating. Perfect location to sit out and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Kitchen has good appliances, plates, silverware, utensils but could use some larger pans. We rented this place instead of a hotel for the fact that we could make meals here for our family. That is hard to do with two pans large enough for an egg. They have baking pans, cutting boards and a crock pot that were a great addition. There was also a dirty waffle maker that should just be thrown out.
Clean on the surfaces but there were cobwebs in every corner. My 13 year old even noticed. Even with the cobwebs I didn't feel that this place was dirty. Maybe that was just an oversight as the rest of the place was clean, even in the cupboards.
There was a note on the fridge to not set the AC above 74 or you risk freezing the unit. I understand this so I checked the control and it was set on 68 and none of us touched it. We didn't want to be without AC so we did move the temp up. Not sure why they would have left it at 68?
Every time you enter the property you have to enter at the main gate. This house is on the complete opposite side of the large property. It would be nice to be able to get a temporary pass to enter the gates on that side of the property. Again not a huge deal but it could be less of an inconvenience.
Great home about an hour outside of the Yosemite entrance. Large living spaces, nicely stocked kitchen (some spices, cooking spray, etc) A little chilly for our end of October/early November stay, so we did not use the grill but appreciated that one was provided. Worth noting, the second bathroom, bed room and area with games is located on the lower level - which you are only able to access by going outside. Not an issue for us as it was just the two of us, but would be something to consider depending if you were looking at putting children down there. Overall, a great place to stay. Gated community, lots of wildlife (saw turkeys and deer), and comfy beds.
Perfect cabin to for a quiet retreat in beautiful Pine Mountain. Clean, beautiful patio with views of the trees and deer in the evening! Main floor has 2 bedrooms - bottom floor has separate entry and door key and has 1 bedroom and bath - would be best to be clear about that for people with small children. Loved our stay here!
Grande maison au calme avec tout le confort nécessaire. Très belle co-propriété avec tous les équipements : tennis , le lac, golf....
We stayed for 2 nights in Dutch flat and we really loved the place. The neighborood is really great with deers visiting us in the yard.
It's only 5min from pine mountain lake which is also really beaufitul.
The place has all the amenities you need.
It's 1 hour from yosemite valley with a beautiful scenic drive to go there.
We definitely recommend this place
This was a great place to stay--it's near a gorgeous mountain lake and close to Yosemite!
Lots of light came into the condo, It was a “very happy” environment. The kids loved the game/ guest room under condo. You will see deer all day long in this neighborhood. We had fun sitting on patio w/ friends too👍🏻
We loved it !! The driveway leading up to the home was flat which was great compared to some of the other properties there. Makes for easy unloading and loading the car. We very much loved the warmth and coziness of the property. The home was very clean when we arrived, we very much appreciated that. We would definitely come back.
We chose this home for its proximity to Yosemite, and we were not disappointed. It took about an hour to get to the Big Flat Oak entrance, and about an hour and a half to get to Yosemite Village. The house is clean, well appointed, and comfortable. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a downstairs area with a foosball table, TV, bed, and futon that would be great for additional guests, though we mostly stayed upstairs. We particularly appreciated the little things for our kids: Boxes of blocks and Legos in the second bedroom, board games beneath the television. My kids (ages 2 and 3) loved it, and honestly we could have stayed there the entire vacation and never made it into Yosemite, and they would have been just as happy!
The lake community is gated and sprawling, so it's a good thing they give you a map when you check in. We didn't get a chance to check out the pool, but we will next time, for sure. We did go to one of the beach marinas, and it was quiet and lovely, with swans and a little playground.
Groveland itself is a tiny one-street kind of town, hardly more than two pizza parlors, a market, and a saloon (and, depending on the day and hour, many of the other little shops may not be open). But as long as you know what to expect, it's a quaint little town with friendly people. Plan to buy groceries at the market and eat in, and enjoy the nice deck.
Our only complaint is that the tennis courts, which say "shared" in the description, are actually fee-based, and it'll cost you $7 per person to play--and you'll have to purchase the tennis pass in advance of going to the courts; we are a big tennis family, and weren't expecting this, so our boys were disappointed. But if you're not planning on playing tennis, this home--and the community--are awesome.
Bottom line: We loved the house and the community, and we hope to stay there again in the future.
Excelente place, clean and neat house. We had an excellent stay and would definitely consider staying at the same place next visit to the Yosemite area!
We had a very nice stay in the house, it is very well equipped,
Be aware that there is no inside stair connecting 1st and 2nd flooor. You may end up not using 1st floor.
We enjoy our stay there! The house is clean, spacious, and fully furnished!
We really enjoyed our stay here and Groveland I highly recommend The Pizza Factory as they delivered our food when we came in late one evening the pizza was good and the service was exceptional. The house was clean and well-kept beautifully located and surrounded by Wildlife if you're up early in the morning.
Very comfortable home. Idea for several people.
Loved it. It felt very homey and comfortable once we were situated.
We were staying at the Dutch Flat for a couple of days whilst visiting Yosemite. The house was clean and had everything you could ask for. It was a safe area with gated security as you approached Pine Mountain Lake. We were greeted at the house by 4 deer that were grazing in the garden, such a lovely area to watch the wildlife.
I would definitely recommend this house to any of my friends who are visiting the area.
We had a nice time in the dutch flat,
My family and I stayed for four days for Christmas. We had a great time and would definitely return.
We enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and comfortable. Hotel shampoo conditioner soap porovided. Great view if a yard that had turkey and deer.
The house was very clean and self sufficient . We enjoyed our stay here!
We enjoyed staying in this rental. It was clean and had all of the necessary amenities. The main house was nice and cozy. The lower level was a great space as well. We would definitely recommend this rental to others.
It was a great place! It was nicer than the pictures. The bedding and front room furniture was new and not the pictured items. Lovely surprise! It felt really clean and welcoming! The kitchen was fully equipped! We liked that there was also movies and the fireplace. We truly had the best time with our family! Great set up for teenagers!
Great location close to Yosemite. Definitely would recommend a visit to Rainbow Pool. Loved the room downstairs with separate entrance, great for teens. Be aware there is no access from inside so not recommended for little ones.
I needed a weekend away from various unpleasantness in my life, and decided to take my 12-year old son and two of his friends some place where they could swim. We found this place, and were able to reserve it on very short notice. The staff was responsive and helpful in facilitating the reservation and all instructions, etc. in a short time frame. Pine Mountain Lake is a bit more of a residential/civilized location than I would normally prefer (kinda like suburbs in the hills surrounding a big lake), but it was very quiet and the lake was fantastic for the kids and swimming. Clean water, floating deck, and not too many people on a weekend in late August. I also found a very pleasant surprise upon arrival at this house -- it has a separate entrance downstairs area with sleeping arrangements for 3 (one twin and a queen futon), a bathroom, desk, table, TV, DVD, and a foosball table. It was PERFECT for three 12-year olds who were in heaven in their own little den. And I had the upstairs to myself, sitting out on the big deck, sipping wine, listening to the crickets, and staring at the stars. We had all our meals outside on that deck, which is lovely. Everything in the kitchen worked fine; the place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a very nice place to be for a weekend.
Great place, great atmosphere, great house! Would stay here again. I enjoyed the lake nearby, and the fauna coming in up close. The house was spacious and very comfortable. 10/10
We stay at this house for last few years. Love it.
Cozy cabin!! The kids had a great time having their own space downstairs. The Lake was a big hit! Make time to go over and rent a paddle boat:) Super fun! We even went back to the lake after dinner and played in the water in the shade over by the lodge.
