This multi-level home truly feels like an old-fashioned ski cabin, with gorgeous wood details on the floors, ceilings, and banisters, along with nice decorative touches like an antler-themed chandelier that really reinforce the rustic atmosphere. You can always dine out at the Cabin Bar & Grill, but why not just enjoy a home-cooked meal instead? Whipping something up for well over a dozen guests seems daunting, but between the gas grill outside and a kitchen fully equipped with basic appliances and ample granite countertops, you'll do just fine. Serve up some appetizers at the breakfast bar for four, before digging into the main course at one of the many indoor and outdoor tables. Five bedrooms mean that all 14 guests will have ample room for bedtime. Great house and tons of space. Very clean and amazing views and great location in big sky. Would recommend for any groups on ski trips but also a great home base for Yellowstone!

Well appointed comfortable and attractive house, view up Challenger lift is awesome. Comfortable spacious living area with seating areas for everyone. Fireplace is wood burning and cozily situated in the main living area. Wood supply ample in garage. Ski out is easy, ski-in requires a 20-30 step uphill section right at the house. No biggie for people fit enough to ski. We did not mind being away from the main base area at all since the view from the LR and hot tub on the deck is of the big mountain.

37 Diamond Hitch was lovely place to spend our family vaca. Very clean, lots of room for everyone to gather (and have private space). Views from the deck were amazing. Our family particularly loved the hot tub and the hockey game - both very nice features. Just a couple of suggestions - 1. the trash situation was not disclosed until after we booked and since I did not read my confirmation thoroughly (my fault) so I did not discover that there was no trash pick up until after we arrived. It would be very helpful if this information were disclosed somewhere prior to booking. Having to haul our trash away was an unexpected inconvenience as the community trash compactor was nowhere near the home which required us driving out of our way to dump our trash. 2. There were detailed instructions by the hot tub to put one "shock gem" into the filter compartment after each use of the hot tub but there were no "shock gems" provided or any details about where to locate the filter compartment. The detailed instructions also gave a phone number with specific instructions to text if there are any issues with the hot tub - to date no one has responded to my text.
These two issues aside, we had a lovely week and thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home. We would definitely stay here again and certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Big Sky.

While the community compactor is located about one mile from the home and directions are provided in our check-in details, there are also bins located in the garage for garbage storage. We are addressing a permanent resolution with our hot tub servicer to ensure necessary supplies are properly stocked for guest use. Loved the house, location, hot tub, heated garage, view, and hockey game.
Be sure to check with Big Sky Resort concerning the lift closures. The only ski in / ski out access is by using Piny Express lift. They closed it for the season on our first day out without notice and without shuttle or other transportation. Only after multiple phone calls and emails (from us and apparently a multitude of others) did they change their mind and re-open the lift.
Bigger issue: the management company is very unresponsive. We we're supposed to have firewood on site. We started calling our first day and did not received a load until the evening if the 4th day. There are quite a few minor maintenance issues that, when added up, leave a negative impression. VACASA appears to have no concern.
Among those minor concerns, towels and linens are worn and some stained. All need replacing.
We are sorry to see the resort management's decision to close the lift was upsetting to our guests. It is common for outlier lifts to be shut down towards the end of the season. We now have more staff available to help with guest needs and perform more thorough inspections. We have replaced any worn linens or towels. Thank you!

We were able to ski out to both Big Sky and Moonlight. We were able to find a way to ski right into the front door (by skiing on the road), this would not be available all the time, the normal ski in way is great as well, just involves a 10 yard uphill hike. The home itself was very well appointed. We had three families with 4 teenage boys and 2 teenage girls. Each set of parents had their own bedroom and bathroom and the kids all used the two bunk rooms and bathroom downstairs. Was great having a hangout room downstairs for the kids and a separate den upstairs for the adults. The view from the den and hot tub was amazing. You can see both the top of the Challenger lift and Lone Peak. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots/pans/cookware, but also with sugar/salt/pepper, etc. We actually came back to the house each day for lunch. While it saved money, we probably stayed in longer than we would have if we ate out. The house also has lots of family games to play--a great way to spend the night after the hot tub!

The house was great and exactly as presented on their website. We had plenty of room, great location, tremendous views, and the 28 inches of snow didn't hurt either. The snow removal service kept the driveway and deck clear, which was unexpected but appreciated given the amount of snow we got. We would absolutely stay there again.

The house is spacious and wonderfully decorated! Had everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen was equipped well with pans, dishes etc. The views from the deck are spectacular!! We were here in the summer, but I can bet the winter with ski in and ski out would be spectacular!! Wouldn't have changed a thing!!

There were some important issues that needed immediate attention that the local team (Joel) addressed quickly.
1. Garage door would not shut
2. Very little fire wood
3. Side door to deck would not open (it was warped keeping three point locking from releasing).
Here is a list of other maintenance issues that were found but not required to fix while we were there. Issues with the stove were the #1 dis-tractor/issue in house. Really needs work/replacement.
4. Cracked window off deck
5. Stove in kitchen need lots of cosmetic work, front panel falling off.
6. Drawers hit stove
7. Making pancakes on stove nearly impossible had to use grill outside
8. Stopper in sink does not hold water
9. Cable in Bose I home bad
10. Electric hockey game missing one player
11. Bean bag chain broken, leaking plastic beads
12. Broken lamp in lower king bedroom missing parts
Here are a list of thoughts/observations that the owners should consider to improve the customer experience. We keep a vacation home in snow country so we understand these issues.
13. Need boot trays downstairs to contain melt. Helps keep their floors in better shape.
14. Back door access for ski in/out not same key as front. Have to walk around house. Really Dumb.
15. No blender, basic appliance for vacation home
16. Lighting throughout house bad, cute but bad.
17. Limited number of trash bags available really bad idea. Encourage renters to be responsible with trash
18. Fireplace draws poorly and cosmetically needs a makeover.

You can ski to either Big sky or Moonlight Basin from here. Also, you can get back to this property at the end of the day from almost anywhere on the mountain. Amazing views of Challenger and the tip of Lone Mountain from the Hot tub. From the deck you can see Andesite Mountain, the Spanish Peaks and Lone Mountain. Nice big hot tub, excellent layout, and professionally maintained. Comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again.
