Nice space, good location, 3 bed 3 bath all on suite.
After considering a 3 star rating, I settled on 4 stars because there was nothing really wrong with the home but there is also nothing about it that makes us want to return. Let's start with the good. The home has a spacious lay out and there is plenty of square footage in all of the bedrooms. The back and front yards are nicely landscaped. The home has been completely updated, there is a nice washer/dryer and the A/C works well (though we found the Nest a little difficult to use). Now on to the not so good. We felt like we were staying in someone else's house rather than a vacation property and we didn't feel much hospitality from the owner/Vacasa. They keep the master bedroom closet locked so we had to store most of our clothes in the bathroom vanity (there is no dresser) and we had to hang our garments down in the hall in the coat closet. The garage is completely occupied by the owner's car, motorcycle, jet ski and other toys (no space for 1 car as mentioned in the listing) so you have to park outside in the driveway. There is very minimal beach gear (small styrofoam cooler, 2 chairs and 1 umbrella). The dining furniture is patio furniture and is very uncomfortable. I also totally agree with the other reviewer about the small inconveniences of this home like the lack of shelf in the master shower and the needlessly complicated Kevo keyless entry system. Vacasa's comical attempt at a welcome amenity was a huge but nearly empty bag containing 1 sponge, 3oz of dish soap and 2 dishwasher tabs (for a 10 night stay!). They were also a little skimpy other amenities like shampoo/conditioner and trash bags. Our Vacasa contact was not particularly warm or helpful; he punted on the fixing the stinky dishwasher (smelled like death and running cycles with soap did not help) we encountered on the first days of the stay. Luckily we were able to clean it ourselves with a store-bought dishwasher cleaning tab. One other minor issue was not repaired during our stay either. I do think that most of the issues we had with this home could be addressed we a little additional consideration from the owners and a more concerted effort on the part of Vacasa. However given our experience this year, this is one my least favorite properties that we have experienced in Naples and we won't be back.
Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to leave honest feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience of the master bedroom closet and the garage. The owner does keep some of their personal affects in the garage, and keeps the closet locked for the same reason. There is ample parking available in the driveway! We have serviced the dishwasher, and our local manager will open conversations regarding the comfort of the newly purchased furniture, as well as the possibility of adding a shelf in the master bathroom. The welcome bag is meant to get people started, and is a standard in all Vacasa homes. We hope to host you again soon!
Fantastic furnishings with great floor plan
The home was updated, which was nice. The air conditioning was not consistent in all the rooms, particularly the front bedroom was very warm. They did have floor fans which we used. They had notes by the thermostats, indicating specific-consequential instructions, which seemed to indicate to us they were aware the units didn’t work so well. There was an underlying odor, like a musty smell in some rooms. It would’ve been very nice to have somewhere to put our soap and shampoos in the master shower, as there was no shelf, so we had to keep everything on the ground. The towels shoukd be refreshed; the towels/bedding at this rental were mismatches, all different textures, colors, some worn and others newer. It’s a “resort” feel to have white towels/bedding as opposed to feeling like we were using someone else’s linens. We felt like we’re were staying at someone’s house rather than a vacation retreat. The kitchen was fairly well stocked, but a cutting board would’ve been helpful as we cooked a lot. The keyless entry was a bit inconvenient for us, as the bolt would sometimes get stuck. A good old-fashioned key would’ve worked just fine for us. We discovered a rat/rodent living in the walls of the kitchen, who made his entrance at night apparently. Management scheduled for pest control to arrive on the day of our departure. We kept a sense of humor about it, trying to not let it ruin our vacation. Management did compensate us $125, although nice, we thought a little lame considering it overshadowed our stay. The home is about a 12 minute drive to the beaches and nice restaurants. The washer and dryer was very nice. We appreciated having a sitting area outdoors, however there wasn’t a table outside if we wanted to have dinner/lunch outdoors. The neighborhood had a safe feel, appeared to have pride in home ownership. This home had exterior cameras in the back of the house. There were tiny spider-like (not ants) bugs on counters and some furniture, we just chalked it up as a Florida thing. Lastly, beach chairs would’ve been very appreciated. I think after some modifications, this house would be just fine.
The owner appreciates the guests choosing their lovely home for their stay. To address their concerns, the owners stayed at the home the next week and noticed all air vents were closed. Once opened, the AC flowed normally. The thermostat instructions are directed at those who drop the temperature to 60 degrees, which causes the unit to run constantly. For better efficiency, smart-type thermostats were installed. The owners are working with our housekeepers to prevent mismatched towels; and providing quality linens for our valued guests. Cutting boards are located in the bottom cabinet next to the stove. Lastly, the home uses a SmartKey system which prevents lost keys and the inconvenience of having to travel to an office to return it. Also, the home is inspected monthly for pest control. The Vacasa family hopes the guests will return for another visit. Thank you.
Lots of room to spread out. Very comfortable.
The description of the house does not capture what this home has to offer. It has complete state of the art technology and finishings. The layout is super accommodating and giving. I would definitely revisit, given the opportunity.
The house is a vert beautiful home, the master suite was huge and the picture on the site is exactly what it look like. The back yard is very relaxing! The keyless entry love it, overall this was a great place to enjoy your vacation.
