Really loved the view and the great fun the kids and dog had exploring the edges of the lake. My adult son enjoyed trout fishing in the Savage River.
Not sure I would stay there during the hot summer months. We stayed the 3rd week in June. It was low 80s several days and although the downstairs maintained at a comfortable temperature without AC - the upstairs was hot and especially so in the bedroom with 4 twin beds. An AC window unit might help that a bit.
All in all - a beautiful area and a well furnished vacation rental with very nice neighbors.

Cute place! View is lovely, could have been a bit cleaner.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, Annemarie. We are glad you enjoyed your stay but we apologize if the cleanliness of the home left something to be desired. We will follow up with our housekeeping team to see that future cleans are completed to our standards, and we hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

Everyone raved about the sunset views which were nice but it did not make up for the things wrong in the house. My son complained about the downstairs mattress which bothered his back. The kitchen is ancient and hard to work in. No place for food storage. The grill is falling apart and broke on us I think the house needs a lot of work and could be very nice.

This place is right on the lake with an absolutely perfect view for sunset. Cool old school fireplaces and plenty of room for the whole family (4br but one is a massive bunk room that can easily fit 4 kids) The owners were also extremely flexible when we ended up not bringing our dog at the last second and refunded our pet fee with no issue and that was very much appreciated.
Only down side...there's no dishwasher here so be sure to keep that in mind so that's really the only reason this place gets 4 stars and not 5.

Comfortable living room, big dining room, right on the lake with gradual entry.

Overall, the lake house was adequate. The front room has a terrible musty odor. There were cobwebs throughout the house. The evenings were chilly in Sept but we couldn't use the blankets - they were old, and smelled. If you take dogs, be careful of the neighbor to the right of the house. He is a belligerent drunk who isn't afraid to storm your vacation.
Hi, Bridget! We are so glad you shared your comments with us so we can have housekeeping address your concerns. We hope to see you again!

Inside house was very clean and comfortable and we’d definitely stay there again. One thing to note: don’t expect much from vacasa in terms of a response. When we arrived, there was a trash can missing - which meant the trash was overflowing from the previous guest. We called them and emailed them to let them know there was a problem with the trash and it remained a problem until regular collection came on Wednesday. I would also note that we called about problems with the grill and no firewood (which are both listed as amenities) - vacasa ultimately dropped off a can of propane but that’s as far as they went to resolve the issue. All in all, an overall positive experience but just be prepared to buy your own firewood and don’t expect too much from the management company.

I expected the place to be a little more clean for how much it cost to stay there. Also a few fuses blew out shortly after we arrived so we had to contact Vacasa for help locating the fuse box. They were very responsive and the issue was quickly resolved. In general a nice place in a great location near the water, with a dock, big yard and pet friendly. I would stay there again.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize the home was not up to the high standard of cleanliness that we hold ourselves too. We hope we have the chance to host you again in the future.

Loved being so close to water. House was perfect for our group. Large dining room table was our gathering place. We didn’t get to enjoy a fire as there were only 3 chairs not broken. But we adjusted and enjoyed.
Thank you for your feedback, Tammy! We are happy to hear you had a great stay. We are very sorry about the broken chairs around the firepit. We have passed your comments along to our local manager who will work with the homeowner to replace the chairs. We look forward to hosting you again!

Location and close, easy access to the water's edge and dock were excellent, as was fire pit, which with furnished firewood was enjoyed every evening. Neighborhood roadway was quiet and looped around, which was great for daily walks/exercise.

Our family had a wonderful stay. Pros: Location was wonderful. Swimming, fishing, kayaking right from the edge of the property. Beautiful quiet neighborhood. Sunsets amazing. Large room upstairs. Appreciated the kayak. Kitchen well equipped. DVDs, games, nice TVs Con: lack of ventilation. No AC but assumed window ventilation. Not the case. Most windows did not open or have screens. Thank goodness the weather was not unbearably hot. Housekeeping needs to do better job. Dog hair and cobwebs and layers of dust. Yard needed some TLC.
Property manager very much on top of making us enjoy our stay.
We have brought window screens to the owner's attention, followed-up with housekeeping about the pet hair, and mowed the lawn. Thank you!

Loved the amazing sunsets! True to it’s name! Location is nice, fairly quiet area of the lake. Kids loved the waterfront, as they were able to play, wade, and swim near the dock. Very easy to put kayaks in the water, and we were able to dock our pontoon boat to take a quick lunch break halfway through our 4 hour rental! Kids (2-7) loved the enormous kids bedroom as they each had their own bed, as well as a big screen tv and play area. The yard needs some maintenance, as the grass and shrubbery were overgrown and not kept up very well. Half of the yard, which is a hill, was pretty much a mud hole the entire time. Kids couldn’t really play in the yard and there isn’t really a level area other than at the waters edge for cornhole and such. But overall, we had a great time!
