This is the third year we have spent spring break in these condos, and they are really great! My only complaint this year was we couldn’t lower the temperature below 69, which was a little warm for us sleeping. Vacasa staff were very helpful in trying to solve the issue, and the maintenance staff even came to help, but there was no resolution to the problem.

Updated home in great location. Can easily walk to Iron horse and we got a few good snow storms and were able to ski down to Pony Express from our door and back down from Moonlight lodge. Otherwise short walk even as young as 5 years old to lift. Only concern for those trying to fit 4 children upstairs is that bunk beds didn't have safety rails on both side, only the wall side. We moved one rail to ensure at least one top bunk had both safety rails (and even then the mattresses are too high and we added some additional rail height with big tupperware lids) and then the 4th kid slept in the little nook with curtains. There are two rails in the closet for the other top bunk, but half the attachment pieces were broken and could not be used. We asked about getting them fixed during stay, but was not able to be done. We made it work, but would have liked to know this before arriving to plan. Otherwise great spot. Tons of spices and pots/pans, kitchen gadgets.

Great stay, great location The unit is a little bit dated (needs a bit of very minor maintenance) - but the price was great and the amenities and location met all of our needs. Would stay again! :-)

Where is Big Sky, Montana?

Located in Southwest Montana, Big Sky is located about 44 miles away from the college town of Bozeman and 51 miles from the popular tourist town of West Yellowstone, the closest access point to Yellowstone National Park. Though its year-round population remains at a mere 2,500 residents, visitors from all over the nation book Big Sky cabin rentals to enjoy the great outdoors.

Big Sky has held its place as a popular tourist spot since the 1970s, specifically for its abundance of recreation and relaxation. No matter what time of year you visit Big Sky, you're sure to be treated to a well-deserved vacation.

Winter recreation in Big Sky

Big Sky Resort is something of a misnomer—the area actually comprises two resort areas that share one mountain. But no matter which resort you choose to patronize, our Big Sky Resort vacation rentals make hitting the slopes a cinch. And because Big Sky Resort has some of the best snowfall in the Rockies—plus some of the shortest lift lines—there are tons of great spots to choose from.

Never hit the slopes? No worries—the Big Sky Snowsports School offers group and private lessons for all ages, as well as an adaptive program. And for the cross-country skiers in your party, Lone Mountain Ranch has 53 miles of trails and is considered one of the best Nordic ski centers in the country. Just don’t forget to have some apres ski fun in town after your day in the snow.

Summertime in Big Sky

Our Big Sky cabin rentals aren't just for winter. As the days get longer and hotter and the snow melts, a new landscape emerges: A colorful display of wildflowers blankets the hillsides and the Gallatin River beckons.

From whitewater rafting, to mountain biking, hiking, and enjoying the wild natural world of Big Sky and Yellowstone National Park beyond, you’ve got a universe of options at your fingertips.

And when you’re plumb tuckered out from a day in the wilderness, head to Basecamp at Big Sky Resort for a free concert series—just be sure to let the kids try out the bungee trampoline or the putt-putt course.
