This is my 2nd time staying in the Kona Bali Kai and what can say is the ambiance and customer service is what brings me back yearly , it’s in an amazing prime location, easy to support local businesses and people. & no matter what they were very accommodating to me any time I stay ! I would highly recommend this unit!

We love staying at Kona Bali Kai for the convenient location, great ocean access and views, and the on-site Poke Shack. We have stayed at multiple condos at the property and 402 was the best so far. Although it's not really remodeled like some of the others, it's updated and has a really good AC unit. Some units that advertise AC have weak or old units that don't effectively cool the condo, but this one worked very well for the main bedroom and living room. However, the front bedroom still got very hot. The unit was very well appointed with everything we needed. All kitchen gadgets and appliances, a cooler, two sets of snorkel gear, beach chairs, and Vacasa provides all the basics needed for cleaning like dish sponges, paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, laundry pods, etc. If you plan to cook, do bring your own spices, oil, etc. because no food items are provided. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and with the service provided by Vacasa.

The views of the ocean, surfers, and sunsets were top notch. The waves were almost too loud if you are a light sleeper, but the views were more than compensation. The condo was spacious and the beds comfortable. There were amenities for the beach including a large size cooler, an ice pack in the freezer, some beach chairs, 2 snorkel sets that looked child-sized but I’m not sure, and a few sand toys for the kiddos. Only complaints were there was not enough kitchen supplies to fully live in a place for a week, there was sugar salt and pepper but that’s it. No oils or seasonings for cooking so you had to buy those, and then donate them or throw them out. Ice trays were full on arrival! The WiFi did not work…it connected, but did not allow you to load anything, and my phone said connected with no internet access. Lastly, the air conditioner was cold for the master but lacked in cooling the kitchen and back bedroom. Also, if you run it, you will not be able to sit on the balcony because of the heat from the outside unit. So it’s one or the other. The outdoor beach shower ran out of water after one use, and so we had to track sand into the unit and do our best to sweep it up with the provided broom and dustpan. One more note, the pool access key-fob is attached to the fly-swatter. Took us awhile to figure that one out…thought it was a air-tag of some sort so they could track the “fly-swattah?”
