everything about unit 502 in Windsor Place EXCEPT the soft, lumpy bed, very old, we assume. We would love to return to this unit when the bed is replaced (and we visit HHI often from savannah).

I really enjoyed the condo! The view is very nice with lots of natural sunlight. Has 2 bathrooms with is a huge plus!. There were some minor things that need to be fixed but nothing that should really bother your stay.

We chose this property based on the view from the balcony and location within Palmetto Dunes. The condo is a nice size and worked well for our family of 4. While the condo met our expectations for those things we would not return to this unit. However the pool and grounds for Windsor Place are beautiful and well maintained and it is a very quick walk to the beach which was not overly crowded.
Cleanliness: Dusty tables and on ceiling fan over bed, dirt stains in tub, marks on sheets. Dirty carpets and rugs.
Broken items: shades in living room and bedroom, drawer in bathroom fell apart when pulled out, hand towel holder came off of the bathroom wall. The day before our departure the elevator broke and was not fixed so we had to carry everything down to our car via stairs (not ideal from top floor). There was no sign of a repairman or notice to residents on when this would be resolved.
General maintenance: the sliding doors and screens are incredibly difficult to slide open and closed, upon arrival the spare bathroom toilet was not flushing and we had to call maintenance to fix (which they did within a few hours). The pull out sofa bed is incredibly old and thin so we had to use our own blow up air mattress. The master bed is very old and soft to sleep on. The showers are small which was fine but there are barely any shelves to place soap, shampoo, etc. The small table on the balcony had a leg that kept coming off.
Attention to detail: there was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms so plan to bring your own (they supply two very small bar soaps), the letter from the owner about restaurants and things to do is dated 2011, the pool code left for us was no longer valid and a resident had to share the correct one. If you are traveling with kids like we did... there are no plastic cups or plates and no Tupperware to seal things closed so plan accordingly.

My husband and I stayed 3 Nights over Memorial Day weekend. The unit is reasonably priced and has a great location in Palmetto Dunes. It is very spacious for a one- bedroom and the view and balcony were the best part. The kitchen is very nice, but the rest of the place is dated. The shower is ridiculously small for unit that size, but there is a nice jetted tub. Overall the place is still very comfortable for a beach rental.

Great condo in great development. Everything is well kept, clean, beautiful. Really good view of the beach. Had three beautiful deer hanging around the grounds in the evenings. Love Palmetto Dunes at Hilton Head.
