This home is in simply one of the best locations in Newport Beach! This is a perfect location for beachfront and easy access to food and people watching!

Overall, the property worked nicely for us. The location on the Strand is amazing. However, this location is the first fully residential property next to the Pier, and it is located right next to a take out restaurant called Pipeline. Also, most people in the area are not wearing masks, even vendors at the Farmer's Market. So, if you are high risk for Covid, I would definitely stay away! The house itself is comfortable. You can rent half of the house or the the whole house. We had 8 people and rented the whole house. It was very comfortable for us. The bed arrangements also worked well. The second floor patio is a wonderful place for breakfast and dinner, and we cooked a lot. The umbrella for the table was broken, so lunch would have been very hot there! The kitchen was better stocked than we expected. The BBQ grille worked very well, but was dirty when we arrived. The whole house had only been cleaned superficially prior to our arrival, but I'm sure it is tough to keep very clean. There are beach chairs and boogie boards available for use, but three of the boogie boards didn't have leases, so they were hard to use. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly there and everything worked fairly well. However, if there had been a problem, the management company, Vacassa, is not local. They contract with local service people, but only for emergencies. At first, we couldn't get our air conditioning to work and panicked. It was expected to be 93 degrees at the beach. We called Vacassa and they said they would reimburse us for the lack of air conditioning, but couldn't do anything about it. Luckily, we had smart guests who figured out that we only needed a new battery for the remote, and we fixed it! Vacassa, while they do answer the phone, are out of state and really don't know the property. I called with a couple of questions prior to our stay, and received different answers depending on who returned the call. When renting properties, I prefer to work with the owner or or one specific property manager on site. Still, with everything mentioned, we had a blast and are grateful for this rental!

It's true this location has some traffic near it due to being close to Newport Beach Pier and apologize if this was a difficulty for you. Local staff has been made aware of the difficulties you experienced with the air conditioning, and the cleaning crew will be handling the BBQ. We have purchased a new umbrella and boogie boards for the home. Thanks!
